Hey, I'm suprised that you're not an admin. What do you feel about about me nominating you on RfA? --TBC??? ??? ??? 06:07, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Answers

[edit]

You should extend answers to the admin questions. Short answers may mean more oppose votes --TBC??? ??? ??? 23:36, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, if those answers stay like that you are going to get lots of neutral/oppose--answers too short. ~

Your RfA

[edit]

I've added some new questions to your RfA, if you will take a minute, I'd appreciate replies. Thanks. JoshuaZ 23:44, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

G'day, I'm considering supporting you but glancing at your AfD contributions I'm a little concerned about this Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/April 1, 2006 (Complete List), which looks like a "merge and delete" vote. As that would be illegal under the GFDL, could you perhaps clarify what you mean by it? CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 00:03, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When I said "merge and delete", I meant "merge any original content into April 1, 2006 and delete this one as it won't serve any purpose". Royboycrashfan 00:31, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Original content meaning what? Stuff that originated in April 1, 2006 and was moved to the list on AfD? CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 00:35, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Original meaning stuff that is on April 1, 2006 (Complete List), but not the other article. Royboycrashfan 00:36, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anon adding AfD's

[edit]

The anon who added text to my talk page was doing so in good faith (though it went in the wrong place), and replying to a question I had put to him/her. He/she can't complete the AfD process on Second thought as anons are barred from creating new pages. What to do? I have no problem taking over the reins on the AfD on this article, as it is one I would nominate myself if I had found it, but obviously I can't keep doing that. --BillC 01:51, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AFD

[edit]

Remeber the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charlie Sheen and Alex Jones interviews? It reached nothing even remotly resembling consensus, but it was deleted anyway? Please join the debate regarding undeleting it. I view this as nothing more as the majority imposing their will on the minority, in a blatant violation of the spirit of wikipedia --Striver 22:02, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question 2 and 3

[edit]

Your answers to question 2 and 3 on RfA seem to be too short, causing some editors to vote for neutral and oppose. Perhaps you should elaborate? --TBC??? ??? ??? 13:09, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kristin Kramer

[edit]

It appears that you deleted the accurate and relevant article on Kristin Kramer without just cause. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregloveandkristinlove (talkcontribs)

Hi, please reconsider your vote on that as I believe Wikipedia/Amazon/IMDB has been used as part of a huge self promotion for that person (see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Possible_advertising_scam). Thanks Arniep 02:04, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Moving Redirects from AfD to RfD

[edit]

You have moved at least two redirects from AfD to RfD. While that's the right thing to do, could you either close the AfD discussion or leave the AfD template on the article for the closer? Directions for closing an AfD are at Wikipedia:Deletion process. When you remove the AfD template, you make it harder to do the closing as the link to the debate is gone and you either have to go back in history or type it in by hand. While nobody is likely to object, the template shouldn't technically be removed from the article until the debate is closed. If you have questions, please let me know. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 02:50, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations! Consensus having been reached, it is my pleasure to inform you that you are now an administrator on the English Wikipedia. Please take a moment to review the Administrators' reading list and the Administrators' how-to guide before using any of your shiny new buttons. :-) If you need assistance or advice, please feel free to request help from other administrators at the Administrator's Noticeboard and Administrator's Noticeboard for Incidents, or to leave a talk page message for me or any other admin. Your RfA--and mine

[edit]

Congratulations on your promotion. I sincerely believe that you'll do the encyclopedia good. However, I'd like to ask you to please reconsider your (recently changed) vote on my RFA. It's absolutely true that I've been unwise with my use of edit summaries, and if that is enough to oppose me in your book, I'm okay with that. However, I hadn't been able to answer the additional questions on my RFA before you voted. I have just answered them, and I apologized fully for my mistakes and addressed the concerns there. I'm not here shilling for votes; I'm here requesting that you carefully consider all the information and then decide whether or not your oppose vote should stand. In any regard, thank you for your time and your consideration of my RFA. Happy editing! Matt Yeager (Talk?) 02:43, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, RBCF, congrats on your passed RfA! I noticed you've been looking at some work by Rebbe. I've been looking through his contribs and fixing them much as I can, deleting some, and rescuing some from prod. The thing with him is, most of his additions are good topics, he just writes in a very confusing manner prob b/c English is not his strongest language, so it induces people to go for the delete button. I am urging extra patience with this eager newbie. One day he'll be a quality editor, I am sure. - the.crazy.russian τ ç ë 18:36, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

[edit]
Thanks for your vote.

Hi, this is Matt Yeager. I wanted to thank you for your vote on my request for adminship. The count was something like was 14/20/5 when I decided to withdraw the request. My decision was based on the fact that there are enough things wasting people's time on the Internet that doomed RFA's shouldn't be kept up for voters to have to think about. Regardless of the rationale behind your vote, I hope you will read this note for an extended note and discussion on what will happen before I make another try at adminship (I didn't want to clog up your userpage with drivel that you might not be interested in reading). Thank you very, very much for your vote and your time and consideration of my credentials--regardless of whether you voted support, nuetral, or oppose. Happy editing! Intel AfD

[edit]

Thanks very much for removing the box I inadverently placed on the Intel list AfD. The nominator didn't create a new page, and so the old AfD discussion was also showing up on today's AfD log. I created a new page and moved the discussion, but inadvertently grabbed the box syntax from the old discussion. I couldn't figure out what I'd done and asked on IRC; Sean Black was going to help me, but you took care of it entirely. So thanks very much for prettying up AfD and for saving me from having to explain on IRC that I ruined the formatting for the whole page. Joe 03:42, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for correcting me on the WP:AB rules and removing the speedy for me. It gets alot more complicated when you try changing from RC-Monitoring to New Page reviewing! While I have your ear, I seem to have messed up putting an entry for This Beautiful Disaster on the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Log/2006_April_12 Page. For some reson my entry just continues from the one above it and does not get it's own line. Can you take a look and see if I messed somthing up? Thanks Orangutan 17:29, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just wondering

[edit]

I was wondering about a certain edityou made to Wikipedia:Introduction. I know you probably know this and all, but anything on there that isn't template removal or profanity can stay, as it is a sandbox page. No harm done, but it can sometimes scare away potential users as they think they've done something wrong. So again, no problems, but just... you know, in the future. This IP is shared by many AOL users, constantly changes for AOL users. Hence, the original vandal didn't see your message and someone who isn't the vandal (namely me) did see your message. The only way AOL vandals will see warnings is if we set cookies for IPs on the AOL range, and use the cookies for the user's identity (maybe some AOL IP auto-login process). 207.200.116.195 17:15, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of article "Red Velvet Relief"

[edit]

Greetings, I am a newbie at posting to user pages so my apologies if I'm going about this the wrong way! I just discovered the deletion of the article "Red Velvet Relief." After checking the deletion logs, looking for the nomination for deletion discussion, and finding nothing in the discussion I was hoping to appeal this deletion. If I were to attempt to replace the article with one that includes more information about the notable members of the band would it be speedily deleted as per this one? I'm curious what policy was violated that caused (what i think was) speedy deletion. Thank you very much for your time and my apologies again if this is the wrong forum for this discussion.

-Frank

The article was speedy deleted under WP:CSD#A7 as a non-notable band. You may rewrite if you will expand on the notability. If you simply write the same stuff, it will be considered a repost. Royboycrashfan 02:46, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Y Tu Mamà También" is not a useful redirect

[edit]

Why are you saying that Y Tu Mamà También is useful? It is just a redirect that is not being used by any article. It was linked from Frank Zappa, but it was wrongly used. If it is a mispelled name (for Y tu mamá también), it is not being used by any article, and it is in fact an irrelevant article, why keep it? I thought that on WP:CSD it clearly stated that this kind of articles are the right ones to nominate for speedy deletion. --Zingazin 20:42, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
