Help needed on new article 2026 FIFA World Cup
I'm trying to start another article, but my draft is waiting for someone to review. The article was started years ago and was deleted, but there are appropriate sources now. I'm also completely unable to figure out the signature line in these posts (you tried to help me before but I suck). Could you take a look? The page is 2026 FIFA World Cup. Thanks in advance! Fullrabb (talk) 16:13, 3 January 2013 (UTC)User:Fullrabb 3 January 2013
The article on the 'Articles for creation/2026 FIFA World Cup' is not my article. I created one with proper sources (there are many already, this is the largest sporting event in the world). It would not save my article when I tried to create the article. I can try again, but I don't know how to replace the crap that is there already. Uggh. Fred and Lucia Farnham House
Are you sure File:Fred and Lucia Farnham House.jpg is actually a picture of the Fred and Lucia Farnham House? It looks nothing like the pictures at the Wisconsin Historical Society's listing for the house. TheCatalyst31 Reaction•Creation 00:50, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- I had major internet problems and now I have a new ISP! You're right, it don't look right. I wouldn't use my photograph. I don't remember the details - it was too long ago! Royalbroil 02:13, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- OK, I commented it out of the Columbia County list too. TheCatalyst31 Reaction•Creation 02:24, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Good, thank you. I assume that you were okay with my move of Rhine Center, Wisconsin. I moved because of the name on the sign and only one source used the name that you had put it at. The DOT map is clearly in favor of the name "Rhine Center" and I consulted some locals who said it's called Rhine Center. Royalbroil 03:58, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, that makes sense to me. TheCatalyst31 Reaction•Creation 04:42, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Harrison (community), Calumet County, Wisconsin
Hi Royalbroil-Many thanks for the Merry Christmas greeting! My Christmas was quiet and I was with family. Okay I left a message for The Catalyst31 about your comment on my talk page. I am not know how to change the coordinates. It could be the coordinates are the same. I do remember there was talk about incorporating the area-part of the town as a village but I have not heard anything else. You may had heard something. It may be something to look into. I hope you are well and that you will a pleasant Happy New Year. RFD (talk) 12:05, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
- Update-please see Incorporation petition December 2012-thank you-RFD (talk) 12:18, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not sure we should change the coordinates in the Harrison article. Unless the article says otherwise, the two communities appear to be distinct, and the first one doesn't appear to have moved as communities sometimes do. The newer Harrison will probably need to be merged with the town article if it becomes a village anyhow, since it's centered around the town hall. TheCatalyst31 Reaction•Creation 21:47, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
- The town of Harrison and the proposed village of Harrison would definitely be different articles if the village comes to fruition. And the community by the town hall would not be part of the village - just the parts by Darboy, Wisconsin. The name has yet to be determined but the proposed village has applied with a state agency. I'm not sure how the separate unincorporated community of Harrison (the new one) is entrenched as the name for the location for the building surrounding the town hall. But that's what I've heard it called. It would be worth a separate article if what I'm saying can be proven. Then the ghost town could be identified as such. I occasionally travel past the location of the ghost town so I'll check it out and try to get photographs. I assume that the cemetery in the ghost town probably hasn't moved - even since 1973. Royalbroil 02:54, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- Ignore what I said before about merging, I somehow didn't read the whole village proposal and assumed the entire town was becoming a village, as has happened elsewhere. Now that I see that neither community is part of the proposed village, that obviously makes no sense. If the second Harrison is in fact a community by the name of Harrison, it should have its own article. The funny thing about the ghost town is I can't find a cemetery anywhere in the area around the community. That might just be the limitations of satellite imagery though, so you should definitely look for it if you're in the area. TheCatalyst31 Reaction•Creation 03:55, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

- Hi-I look at the USGS map where Harrison is and there is the Mansfield Family Cemetery on Highway 55 in the area of the photo probably north of the intersection. There is also Dorn Cemetery but that is further away from Harrison near Lake Winnebago. Manfield Family Cemetery is small that you people probably did not notice it. Thanks-RFD (talk) 21:21, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Information about Mansfield Family Cemetery: Mansfield Family Cemetery. The cemetery is located on a farm in back of a barn of off highway 55. No one would notice it. Thanks-RFD (talk) 21:31, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Neither of them make sense to me. For Mansfield Family Cemetery: First of all my source said that it was a church cemetery not a family cemetery. It's located behind a barn several miles away. I agree that Dorn Cemetery is too far away and it's on the wrong road. Can you figure out a way to find what was the name of the Catholic church in Harrison? Royalbroil 02:07, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hi-this is the link to the cemeteries in Calumet County. Old St. Anthony's Cemetery in town of Harrison was listed but no link: Cemeteries of Calumet County, Wisconsin-maybe this will help. Many thanks-RFD (talk) 12:34, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- This link has a map of Calumet County and St. Anthony's Cemetery and Mansfield Cemetery are by Highway 55-thanks-RFD (talk) 12:38, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the research. Wow, how interesting! Looks like all of the graves were moved to Sherwood to Sacred Heart. No wonder why I can't find anything! I looked and couldn't find anything more even when given the name of the church. Royalbroil 00:51, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
Marie Miller
Hi Royalbroil, thanks for the msg about Marie Miller. I updated the info based on her new music focus. Not sure if you follow her career. She has evolved as an artist with her musical direction being more a blend of modern folk, americana & country. More recently in her attempts to go after new radio formats she and her label have a made a decided move not to target contemporary christian genre, hence my changes.

Glad to be of assistance. I'll have one if you will. ;p TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 05:32, 24 January 2013 (UTC) |

Article of the month – Harley J. Earl Trophy, a Good Article
The Harley J. Earl Trophy is the trophy presented to the winner of the premier, and season-opening, event of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), the Daytona 500. It is named after influential automobile designer Harley Earl, who served as the second commissioner of NASCAR. Earl has been known as the so-called "father of the Corvette" and designer of the Firebird I prototype that adorns the trophy. The trophy is kept on display at the Daytona International Speedway, while a small replica is given to each Daytona 500 winner. The 2010 Emory Healthcare 500 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that was held on September 5, 2010 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. Contested over 325 laps, it was the twenty-fifth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season. The race was won by Tony Stewart, for the Stewart Haas Racing team. Carl Edwards finished second, and Jimmie Johnson, who started seventh, clinched third. Pole position driver Denny Hamlin maintained his lead on the first lap to begin the race, as Ryan Newman, who started in the second position remained behind him. Afterward, Newman became the leader. On lap 128, Hamlin had an engine failure, finishing forty-third. Later in the race Tony Stewart led a race high of seventy-five laps. Stewart retained the first position on a final restart to clinch his third win at Atlanta Motor Speedway. There were eight cautions and twenty-seven lead changes among nine different drivers throughout the course of the race. It was Tony Stewart's first win of the season and the thirty-eighth of his career. The result moved him up two spots to fourth in the Drivers' Championship, 283 points behind of leader Kevin Harvick and fourteen ahead of Carl Edwards. Town of Harrison Calumet County, Wisconsin
Hi-On February 19, 2013, the Town of Harrison in Calumet County had an referendum and voted in incorporate as a village. See Town of Harrison. I let The Catalyst31 know and also User: Rockfang who interested in this. The question what about the unincorporated community of Harrison, Wisconsin. You raised some concerns about that one. List of Counties in Wisconsin
Hey there- I did indeed take a look at the list. I will provide a to do list as it were on the talk page. I need you to keep a few things in mind though. It appears that there is a preference for books and not web sites for FL's at this point. Census data, population, square miles, are all fine with the web, BUT, when it comes to individuals, who do not have a wiki article, thety will prefer a ref of a book, which can be done with Google, usually. I will also list what I can do to help with the effort, and a splendid time will be had by allCoal town guy (talk) 14:55, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Apologies
I very much wanted to help with Wisconsin, and I very much wish I could help. I wanted to say thank to you for teaching me about the fine state. I apologize to you as I could not anticipate that a voluntary effort on my part would be an imposition on others. I value what I have learned. Many thanksCoal town guy (talk) 14:09, 6 March 2013 (UTC)
- I saw the argument and decided that I'm not working on it - before you messaged to me. No article is worth a fight between two people. Everyone here is a volunteer. I did pick up from my failed FA attempt that the #1 key to getting anything featured to cross the I's and dot the T's. Royalbroil 00:38, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
- I am so sorry, and I agree with you, no article is worth that type of hassle, we all volunteer. Fingers crossed here as well. Good luckCoal town guy (talk) 00:41, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Article of the month – Auto Club Speedway, a Good Article
Auto Club Speedway (formerly California Speedway) is a two-mile (3 km), low-banked, D-shaped oval superspeedway in Fontana, California which has hosted NASCAR racing annually since 1997. The track was also used for open wheel racing events until 2005. The racetrack is located near the former locations of Ontario Motor Speedway and Riverside International Raceway. The track is owned and operated by International Speedway Corporation and is the only track owned by ISC to have naming rights sold. The speedway is served by the nearby Interstate 10 and Interstate 15 freeways as well as a Metrolink station located behind the backstretch. Construction of the track, on the site of the former Kaiser Steel Mill, began in 1995 and was completed in late 1996. The speedway has a grandstand capacity of 91,200 and 28 skyboxes. In 2006, a fanzone was added behind the main grandstand. Lights were added to the speedway in 2004 with the addition of a second annual NASCAR weekend. In 2011 and 2012 the track hosted only one NASCAR weekend. The IZOD Indycar Series returned to the track in 2012 with the season finale race (a 500 mile night race); it ran a 400 mile race from 2002–05 at the track. Condolences
I just wanted to extend a thought and kind feeling to you buddy. I know we haven't talked much the last couple years, and I'll try to work on that. I watched Dick Trickle win many a race. Walked down into the pits at tracks like Heidleburg, Sharon, Berlin, Slinger, Bristol, Winchester, Salem, and so many more to say hi to him after a race. Just an amazing man. I know we in the NASCAR and Stock Car Racing ranks are a family that outsiders will never know. I get the feeling that User:The Bushranger is also one of us - and I thank him for watching over the article on wiki. I haven't felt this much sense of loss often; Earnhardt, Kulwicki, Herb Scott, ... sigh. As sort of a "hometown hero" - I can only imagine how it has touched you. All my best my friend. — Ched : ? 04:51, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you, I'm feeling his loss too. It reminds me of the Kulwicki, Davey Allison and Earnhardt loses. I didn't start going to local track races until 1989 so I never saw Trickle race in his heyday around here. I know other people that actually knew Trickle pretty well. I never met him but I heard him talk several times. His stories were AWESOME with a capital A! During the 2012 Slinger Nationals, he was called to the infield as the mystery grand marshal while the YMCA song was playing. It took him several minutes to appear (from the section next to me). The ham started doing the moves on the way there! He won at all of the tracks around me. A real treasure and class act. If he was feeling that he needed love, I wish that he would have moved back to Wisconsin. There are plenty of people who worshiped the ground that he walked on. So sad that he went that way. Thanks for the note and I'm glad to hear from you! Royalbroil 11:50, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- Ched, here's a few GREAT stories about Dick Trickle - the way that I remember him (page 2): [1]. Royalbroil 14:52, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Jimmy Snyder
Hi, Royalbroil! How do you mean that this link doesn't work? "A member of the “Chicago Gang,” midget racers that included Tony Bettenhausen and Paul Russo, Snyder..." It's a brief summary of the driver's career, which fits as a decent further reading. It's a bit liter than Miller's usual. Bye! --NaBUru38 (talk) 10:17, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
- First, when I clicked on it last time it didn't come up. It works when I click on it now, but the external link comes up with a huge advertising page (which is problematic per WP:ELNO). It's not an official website for him; instead it's an article about several drivers (point #13). It can be used as a source for information to write the article. I fail to see how it passes WP:ELNO point #1. Royalbroil 11:40, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Article of the month – Dick Trickle
Richard "Dick" Trickle (October 27, 1941 – May 16, 2013) was an American race car driver. He raced for decades around the short tracks of Wisconsin, winning many championships along the way. Trickle competed in the ASA, ARTGO, ARCA, All Pro, IMCA, NASCAR, and USAC. In more than an estimated 2,200 races, Trickle logged one million laps and is believed to have won over 1,200 feature races. He was billed as the winningest short track driver in history. Trickle's career highlights include racing to 67 wins in 1972, winning seven ARTGO Championships in nine years between 1979 to 1987, winning back to back ASA AC-Delco Challenge championships in 1984 and 1985, the 1968 USAC Stock Car rookie of the year, and winning the 1989 NASCAR Rookie of the Year award in what was then called the Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup). Trickle was nicknamed the "White Knight" as referenced by his sponsored SuperAmerica paint scheme, when he raced in Wisconsin. Article of the month – 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350, a Good Article
The 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on June 20, 2010 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Contested over 110 laps, it was the sixteenth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season and the first of two road course competitions on the schedule. The race was won by Jimmie Johnson, for the Hendrick Motorsports team. Robby Gordon finished second, and Kevin Harvick, who started fourth, clinched third. Conditions were sunny at the start of the race, making the track potentially slippery. Pole position driver Kasey Kahne maintained his lead into the first corner, but Johnson, who had started in the second position on the grid, took the lead before the first lap was over. Kahne suffered an ill-handling car during the beginning of the race, causing him to fall to seventh by the sixth lap. Seven laps before the finish, race leader Marcos Ambrose, turned his car off to try to save fuel, but he could not refire the engine and subsequently stalled. He dropped back from the lead to sixth place with seven laps remaining, allowing Kahne to finish fourth and Jeff Gordon fifth. There were eight cautions and twelve lead changes among eight different drivers throughout the course of the race, Johnson's fourth win of the season and his first ever at Infineon. The result moved him up four spots to second in the Drivers' Championship, 140 points behind of leader Kevin Harvick and one ahead of Kyle Busch. Chevrolet maintained its lead in the Manufacturers' Championship, nine points ahead of Toyota and forty-three ahead of Dodge, with twenty races remaining in the season. Hi-I had to revert your edit of the Forest County, Wisconsin templete. I thought Wisconsin towns were listed after cities and villages and before CDPs and unincorporated communities. One would have to make the same changes of the other Wisconsin counties templetes. Many thanks-RFD (talk) 12:25, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

- Ironically, this year it was cut short by 35 laps due to darkness, as they didn't have lights...ah well. - The Bushranger One ping only 05:25, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- And on the subject of annoying things, race reports that don't include laps completed are way up there (and are astoundingly common among short tracks it seems) - the initial report, posted right after the race on the ARCAMWT site, included each car's laps, but the Official Results now don't! Gah. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:23, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- Wow, cut short because of darkness! I wonder what happened with the lights. Sun sets at around 8:40 this time of the year. There have been major financial issues and changing promoters at the track. If it knew it would have gotten done at around 9:00/9:30, I would have considered going. I know Matt Kenseth was planning to race when he went to the tower to speak at the Slinger Nationals on the week before. Royalbroil 04:19, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Article of the month – Tim Richmond, a good article
Tim Richmond (June 7, 1955 - August 13, 1989) was an American race car driver from Ashland, Ohio. He competed in IndyCar racing before transferring to NASCAR's Winston Cup Series (now Sprint Cup Series). Richmond was the first driver to change from open wheel racing to NASCAR stock cars, which has since become an industry trend. He won the 1980 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year award and had 13 victories during eight NASCAR seasons. Richmond achieved his top NASCAR season in 1986 when he finished third in points. He won seven races that season, more than any other driver on the tour. When he missed the season-opening Daytona 500 in February 1987, media reported that he had pneumonia. The infection most likely resulted from his compromised immune system, which had been weakened by AIDS. The disease would drastically shorten his life. Despite the state of his health, Richmond competed in eight races in 1987, winning two events and one pole position before his final race in August of that year. He attempted a comeback in 1988 before NASCAR banned him for testing positive for a banned substance. Richmond grew up in a wealthy family and lived a debauched lifestyle, earning him the nickname "Hollywood". In describing Richmond's influence in the sport of racing, Lowe's Motor Speedway president Humpy Wheeler said: "We've never had a race driver like Tim in stock car racing. He was almost a James Dean-like character." When Richmond was cast for a bit part in the 1983 movie Stroker Ace, "He fell right in with the group working on the film," said director Hal Needham. Cole Trickle, the main character in the movie Days of Thunder, played by Tom Cruise, was loosely based on Richmond and his interaction with Harry Hyde and Rick Hendrick. TORC and LOORRS articles
Hi, Royalbroil. You seem to be the person recently most interested in maintaining those articles, so you might want to review some changes I just made. I also created a redirect for "The Off Road Championship" and cited it under "torc" disambiguation. I have followed all those series for ages; and, for me, it was pretty clear that TORC did not replace CORR. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a reference; but even the CORR article implies that CORR was largely replaced by LOORRS, which is consistent with my own observations. I recognize that the relationships were not as obvious at the time of the transitions as they have become in succeeding years. DrHow (talk) 04:22, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads-up on the dead link policy. I must confess that I had not read that. I have often managed to repair links that had gone bad; but I did not realize that it was desired to keep links for references even if they could not be repaired. (Although, in retrospect, that does make some sense based on AGF.) The truth is that I actually did want to see one of those references because I doubted the statement it was supposed to be supporting - in particular, the claim that TORC replaced CORR. If there was ever any truth to that, it certainly does not apply today. (Yes, TORC does have one race out west but at a track (Primm I think.) that CORR never used.) DrHow (talk) 19:03, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- Either the offroad.com article is not at archives.org or I do not properly know how to use the site. I know what you mean about drivers of note not even having any coverage. My recent efforts started when I tried to look up Mark Jenkins. It seems to me that he is notable both as a driver and as owner of title sponsor Traxxas. (There is an article for the company, where he is listed as owner.) There are some racing series for which all results of all active drivers are listed. I am just a fan with TV exposure only. (For some reason, I tend to prefer any kind of racing on dirt to any kind on pavement. I have missed extremely few of the short course offroad race TV shows going back to SODA.) It seems to me that there should be some folks closer to the sport who would think it worth entering a lot more information.
- BTW, I am not clear on whether we should keep bouncing back and forth between each other's talk pages or whether a discussion like this should be kept on one of the pages. Do I get a notice if you update your page responding to me? And, if so, does it take some effort on your end to make that happen?
- BTW2: I think it's about time for you to archive your talk page again. It takes forever to load. DrHow (talk) 23:58, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

The 2010 Emory Healthcare 500 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that was held on September 5, 2010 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. Royal,
I've signed up with a scavenger hunt challenge, and did some copy edting. Niagara also put up a Railroad challenge. I did make some changes in the self reporting methods. I don't think we'll be doing any diffs because the photographer may not add the photos to the pages themselves. Since all photos will go through WLM-US first, it will likely make our work easier. I'll suggest that most self reporting can be of the form [[:File:Name of photo.jpg|Short label]] (and I'll just hope the nobody forgets the intial colon :)
One thing, I think you're taking on a bit too much by yourself with 10 challenges. You'll likely get overwhelmed at judging time. I do like all the individual challenges. Why not ask others at WT:NRHP if they'll take over a few for you?
Should we limit the total number of challenges? We'll also need to figure out how to publicize this, though I assume WLM and Wiki Takes America will do something.
More later.
Smallbones(smalltalk) 01:43, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
- I don't think that we should limit the total number of challenges - let the sponsors dictate the final number. I would be happy to give up sponsorship on several challenges, especially ones that I plan to participate in like the "Interstate Traveler" for the greatest distance apart between photographs. I just got back from a long trip and I'm still reviewing / organizing / preparing my uploads. Do you want to take over several challenges of your choice? I didn't know if anyone was even interested in doing this add on to the WLM contest so I took the bull by the horns and picked the best challenges from 2011. I brainstormed and took notes while doing on the Amtrak ride back from Montana. I even snapped a decent shot for at least one ND listing out the train window! Perhaps the signpost will run an article about the WLM and it could be added to the story ( 1 ). Royalbroil 05:10, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

sorry!
I didnt plan my trip to Alaska specifically to take nrhp pictures for this contest, but the timing sure worked out well. :) Did you use a great circle calculator to adjust your number? I really couldnt figure out how to get google maps to cough one up. If I used driving distances, the number would go WAY up. dm (talk) 05:41, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
- There's nothing to apologize for. I am VERY impressed! I doubt that anyone will be in the ballpark of your distance and I don't think that the counting method will matter. Too bad that Canada doesn't count because I took a photo for their contest which was about 600 miles north of the border. RE: Images
Some pictures would be great, you have anything with Formula Atlantic cars? some different car models would be great or the car of Michael Mallinen. Can't think of any more requests at the moment, if you have any SCCA Pro Spec Racer Ford pictures that would be awesome too. Thanks!
By the way, love some of the articles you created, keep up the good work!
- Here is an image of Michael Mallinen in his Formula Atlantic car when he won the 2011 Runoffs. I uploaded it back in early 2012. I added it to his article just now. I had put it in the Formula Atlantic article about 2 years ago. I fondly remember the 2011 Runoffs as the time that it was raining. I found out that I REALLY enjoy watching racing in the rain. The entire field has Toyota or Mazda written on the car. Is their any particular Mazda driver or should I pick the best looking one? I got a few rooster tail shots.
What's the difference between the photos at Spec Racer Ford and what you are requesting? Royalbroil 04:42, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
Grafton
I don't know if you recall being involved in a thing concerning the Grafton, Wisconsin article, and a Nazi association. The info has been restored and expanded. I'm not asking you to do anything, I just thought you might be interested, if you recall the discussion. -Freekee (talk) 07:00, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
K&N again
Hi, Royalbroil. Remember this? The same employee of K&N Engineering is back, still trying their best to get the article purged of anything negative about their company. Please look at the article history and the talk page, if you could. Thanks. 24.87.88.125 (talk) 20:50, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting
Re this edit: I added this in the hope that someone would take a photo of the temple and upload it to Commons, because the map in the infobox is not very informative.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 08:13, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

Scott Bloomquist - racing career
Hi Royalbroil, the article cited for his racing career, from the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, contains some inaccuracies about a race Bloomquist won in California. Plus, the link is broken.
The race in question took place at Speedway 117 (there never has been a "Chula Vista Speedway"), paid $3500 to win and Bloomquist did not lap the field, but did lap all but the second place finisher. These errors may be down to miscommunication with the reporter or the reporter not fact checking. The only source I can provide would be a scan of a race report from a contemporary account in a regional racing newspaper. As with much on auto racing history, there is no accurate on line source.
Googling "Speedway 117" or "South Bay Speedway" will provide you many links to the track that was actually involved and, checking this list (which while flawed is the best there is), you will not find any "Chula Vista Speedway", but will find Speedway 117: http://www.autoracingrecords.com/tracklist2.php?region=California
The information at the above website was taken from Allan E. Brown's book, "The History of America's Speedways Past & Present"
Thanks! JThur1 (talk) 19:36, 14 January 2014 (UTC)JThur1
- I found an archive of the article that I used to write that part and I added it to Bloomquist's article. What information does the regional racing newspaper contain that is relevant to his article? Is it about the track's name, the dollar amount, ..? I certainly know how hard it is to find information about auto racing history. It's unfortunate if the Columbia Ledger newspaper didn't do a good job with their fact checking, but overall it's considered reliable - so another source of similar reliability should be found to justify removal. This information is verifiable as it stands (even if it is wrong). I changed the article to referring to a speedway by the city instead of the track's official name. Royalbroil 03:33, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
Royalbroil: The article in the regional racing paper contains information verifying track name, date of race, prize money and the race itself. It fills in details and corrects the errors in the Ledger article.JThur1 (talk) 03:01, 16 January 2014 (UTC)JThur1
- How about just changing the dollar amount of the race using this racing paper as the source? The exact track name isn't that important (it's an article about Bloomquist not the speedway) and the race name isn't very important either (in my opinion). The prize money is important because it demonstrates how he became an "outlaw" driver who traveled around the country winning the big money races. You can change the article if you want (and know how to add the source - I suggest Cite news). Or you can list the newspaper name, page, full author name, article title, and date of publication for me to take care of the rest. Thanks for discussing this topic with me! Roman Catholic Diocese of Marquette
Hi-I will wait and started the article about the new bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Marquette John Doerfler when he is ordained an installed next week. One of the editors is concern about Roman Catholic priests/bishops appointed to dioceses and mention in diocese articles before their installation/ordaination. This particular editor uses WP Crystal guideline and revert changes and would even take you to some administrator board. Consequently I have not done too much with Roman Catholic bishops except when they die. Also on a personal note: my younger brother died suddenly in November 2013 so I am trying to deal with that. Many thanks-RFD (talk) 10:50, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
John Francis Doerfler
Hi-John Francis Doerfler, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Marquette was ordained today-February 11, 2014 and I started at that time. Thanks-RFD (talk) 21:55, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

Shelby Can-Am
Hi fellow autosport fan, I see you have lot of American racing pictures. Do you happen to have any pictures of a Shelby Can-Am? These beautiful racers can still be seen at HSR events. Thanks!
Poppo154 (talk) 19:05, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think that I ever saw an HSR event. I went to the SCCA National Runoffs from 2009 - 2013 and I checked the photos from each year. Here's a slim possibility: Any idea what type of cars are on this file? I took it at the June Sprints SCCA event at Road America some time in the 1990s. Royalbroil 07:06, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
