Welcome

[edit]

Hallo Elizabeth, Now that your article seems fairly secure, I hope you'll stay around and carry on editing the encyclopedia in future. You will know about lots of eminent musicians who deserve articles, and who can meet the notability requirements for notability at WP:MUSICBIO, or otherwise meet WP:GNG, the General Notability Guidelines. And you've found the Women in Red project already, where there are a lot of supportive editors eager to see more articles on notable women. But it can become a fascinating time-sink, when making one little edit leads to another and suddenly it's lunchtime! Happy Editing. PamD 10:47, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for taking the time to look at this, and for welcoming me to the Wikipedia community! I look forward to learning more! Roweflute (talk) 15:47, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you!

[edit]

Thank you for creating this article. It's a perfect example - if indeed not a precedent - of how (and why) an autobiography can and should be written. I hope you will go on to contribute to Wikipedia about other female musicians.

Women in Red

[edit]

Hi there, Roweflute, and thank you for coming to Women in Red for support. If you feel like assisting us by creating or encouraging biographies of other musicians, it might be useful for you to become a member of our project. You can register by using the box at the top of our project page. After reading the background on your case with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, I wondered how our Danish flutist Michala Petri would have reacted had she been told that the flute was a much less demanding instrument than the oboe. Anyway, glad to see it's now all been sorted out. Please let me know if ever you run into any other difficulties with Wikipedia or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:39, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Ipigott. Your project is terrific and I admire the work you are all doing. Thank you for your time and for inviting me to become a member the project. I'm enjoying learning the "ins and outs" of Wikipedia! Roweflute (talk) 18:57, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

As you appear to have no other intention here but to edit your own article, I would strongly suggest you restrict yourself to edit requests on the article's talk page rather than directly editing the article. Theroadislong (talk)
