Speedy deletion of Ajmer Singh
[edit]A tag has been placed on Ajmer Singh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ~ LegoKontribsTalkM 02:41, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of S. Padmanabhan, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/LAND-FORCES/Army/Army-Chiefs/Chiefs-Army22.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:24, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
deleting
[edit]Rorkadian, Why are you deleting reference to jat, gujjar in giving there daughter to mughal? Also we should not be using honorfics in wikipedia. Like CHaudhary etc. Please do not revert these. Thanks.
May I know your identity? I am deleting reference to other castes/tribes because there is no comparison in such cases. They did not give their daughters in delightful circumstances. They were forced by the invaders. Thanks
I am Ajab Singh. We have to mention that we are distinguished from these other groups. So jat/gujjar should be mentioned. Censoring history is a bad idea. We are just telling the truth. And rajput is mentioned clearly so should these other groups be.
I would like to thank you for all the effort. Especially pages on Ballu, Ajmer and all others that you have created.
Would you know who all fought in 1857 and what did they do against british?
Regards, Ajab —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.125.180.150 (talk) 08:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Ajab Singh Ji, Chaliye its your wish. I am not deleting it this time but my only point was as you mentioned Rajput is clearly stated and our only comparison is with them. With others there is no comparison because we are at a different level. Thanks
Thanks a lot. Took out classification "according to british" because it is not relevant. British did not understand india that well and its castes.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.125.180.150 (talk) 08:22, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Sri_Ram.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Sri_Ram.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 23:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi Ror saheb
[edit]Thank you for your message. I will try my best to answer this for you. Tribal history is a specialty of mine, reading your page is certainly very interesting and I wish you the best of luck in highlighting your tribe's pride heritage.
Tuar issue - I will begin with this one. I must state from the very beginning, that the Tomar Jats (claiming Suryavanshi lineage) are not gathered as kin to the Tuar Rajputs who have exclusively always maintained Chandravanshi lineage through the Panduvansh. This is not surprising, as we also have Khokar Jats in Punjab who claim Awan lineage and Kokhar Rajeh who allege Suryavanshi lineage, as well as some Kokhar Tarkhans who have no idea lol. I think the reason here is phronetics, or similarity or names. See, names of clans are usually branched names of an ancestor, hence if that ancestors name is a 1st name, then its obvious there may be others etc. (similarity os also drawn between Rao Kokhra of the Rathores and also Kokhrain Khatris, two completely distinct tribes, but phronetically similar names. It would be dangerous to play the phronetics game with tribes as it is a novice thing and apt to be criticised often by more knowledgable wikipedians. Best practice? Avoidance. Conclusion - My opinion is that, Tuar Rajputs (of which I believe Vikramaditrya belonged to) was a seperate race to the Tomars claiming Suryavansh lineage, and perhaps, your Tuarka gotra name of the list maybe distinct from the Chandravanshis also, and maybe the same as the Haryana group? I have not found the case of any Chandravanshi clans claiming any other descent at all so far in all my years of research.
Koh i Jud- The Koh i Jud was both. It's always been known as Koh i Jodh by the conquerors. Babur's mention of it was correct in his assertion that there were 2 tribes, Janjua and Jodh's borne of the same father. There is a Jodh Branch of the Janjua which is infact the House of Darapur, Sultan of Makhiala and Sultan of Watli who belong to this branch. These 3 houses are famous Janjua houses and were celebrated by the British as this. The other branch which Babur mentioned as Janjua is the Veer Branch, who to this day reside near Malot fort.
The Jodh branch is pronounced the same as Babur's writing, as Jodh (simpler d as in dil, and o as in awe).
If there is any other help I can provide you, please do not hesitate to contact me bro. Regards --Rajput (talk) 17:19, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

about Haryanvi language and the Indo-Iranian languages template
[edit]I see that you have been consistently removing the navigation template for Indo-Iranian languages from the page on Haryanvi. I think you are under the wrong impression that the template somehow suggests that Haryanvi is an Iranian language. Please rest assured that is not the case. Haryanvi is an Indic language and the template says just that. You are perhaps not aware linguists have classified the Indic languages to be a part of a much broader family of Indo-Iranian languages, which is part of the even more inclusive family of Indo-European languages. If you take a closer look at the template, you will notice that Indo-Iranian languages are divided into Iranian languages and Indic languages, and that Haryanvi falls under the Indic part.
Hopefully this has cleared up the confusion. Please do not remove the template. The template has been devised to facilitate the navigation of pages that contain information about Indo-Iranian languages. Thank you for your understanding. --Zaheen (talk) 06:07, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Kshatriya
[edit]Hi Rorkadian, I agree 2 ur point that Rajus like Rajputs r mix of diff ancient Kshatriya dynsaties. I have added back Rajus (of north coastal andhra) in Suryavanshi section, all in all 80% of Rajus r of suryavanshi lineage, except for Rajus of Eastern chalukya, Kalachuri n Haiheya decency who r Chandravanshis. Regarding nut jeyvyas, request you to Take the issue to admin. This nut jeyvyas is not following wiki guidelines n simply maligning Kshatriya wiki page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Indianprithvi (talk • contribs) 06:48, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I read your wiki pages on Pusapati, Do Appreciate your contribution in it. I have add more content to WP of Pusapati Please review it. as wikipage Pericchedi (forefathers of Pusapatis) also reflects similar content, so I left whole history and dynasty info in Pericchedi and concentrated about famous rulers and persons of Pusapati in this WP.

Suggestion for Update to page
[edit]I would like to make a suggestion to edit the Chauhan page. Currently, there is reference to contributions to the Volleyball team, which as you pointed it is by a single community, the Ror community, and is not inclusive of/representative of the entire Chauhan population. Perhaps, instead of including this information in the general introduction for ALL Chauhans, we can create subsections that address contributions by different communities. Eg. Community Contributions: Ror Community. Or, something like that. Otherwise, the page appears to be biased, particularly since you have taken such a pointed interest in this page and choose to undo changes made by others.
Truly hope you consider making such a change, or at the very least leaving edits made by others for the benefit of all of those who have an interest in this page. Monopolizing a page in such a manner can create a perception of abuse of the privilege to “contribute” to wikipedia.

File copyright problem with File:Sri_Ram.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Sri_Ram.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Closedmouth (talk) 15:51, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Haryana article
[edit]Dear friend,
its ok for your reference no. 20 related with romance thing but 'Haryanavi Rors has ruled over sindh n raj. for 1000yrs' sentence is not suitable for this article, you should put than in Ror community article and rajasthan or sindh articles....moreover Jats had ruled over Haryana, north rajasthan then known as Jangladesh, punjab ,malwa etc. but Im not putting all that in this article because its not suitable for this article...similarly you should'nt add that sentence in this article...Got my point??-- Last Emperor (talk) 11:26, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
well he is a haryanavi Jat Rasaildar Major n thats why his pic is there moreover in the section its mentioned abt. many haryanavi Jats in Jat regiment ... And its in context to that,,and if you like than plz remove that image...and your sentence too!!
Thanks-- Last Emperor (talk) 11:42, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Ok,
Jats n Rors have lot in common like surnames etc..n both are found in Haryana..we are warriors no doubt...and believe me people know our mettle as far as Hitlor Germony..russia..Us etc.
Ironically Jats are more mentioned in epics n folklores..books etc. of other countries than India itself..its all the result of bad deedr of Brahmins...,they updated vedas, upnishads etc. for their fevour.
anyways let them be...about the are article im making some further changes without deleting ur additions..
hey if can upload more pics abt. haryana than it will be nice..I uploaded n adjusted what i had.
Thanks-- Last Emperor (talk) 12:00, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

- I would request you to improve the quality of your questions. Some objections like the one about the statue at Kagarol are simply equivalent to vandalism for the simple reason that you have not paid attention. There is a primary confirmation from the ASI report and a secondary confirmation from Dr. Raj Pal. You can't question it after that as no one has covered the subject apart from these two. Kindly think and raise objection. Regards Rorkadian (talk) 20:40, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

- This reference talks of Chastana as being a ruler of Sindh to begin with. Regards Rorkadian (talk) 07:53, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Improvement of the Haryana article
[edit]You have done a very nice job by making the Haryana article. I would like to help you in improving this article. i saw you added kamboj to the article but you forgot to add them in Demographics paragraph. you also haven't written much about Yamunanagar which is somewhat weird. You should also give some details about yamunanagar in this article. Yamunanagar has the largest water reserves in Haryana. it is due to hathnikund and Tajewala Dams that the Flood was avoided this Monsoon In Delhi and better part of Haryana. BILT is the ASIA's largest paper manufacturer located in Yamunanagar. Saraswati Sugar Mill is also Asia's largest and World's 3rd largest sugar producer. It also has Asia's largest Timber Industry. More than three-fourth of India's plywood is manufactured here. And above all do you know if we exclude Gurgaon and faridabad it is the largest revenue generating district of haryana.
Well at least it deserve some mention in the Haryana article.
Please also add Kambojs in the demographics paragraph of the Haryana article 117.200.55.37 (talk) 06:22, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

[edit]I recommend running those edits in one at a time. Possibly some of your additions were good, but several of them were definitely not, and it's too much of a burden on other editors to have to pick out each one individually in a massive sequence. Definitely, though, there is broad agreement that varna never goes into the infobox. And that quotation about them being handsome is clearly WP:UNDUE. And some of the history you added was unsourced. Qwyrxian (talk) 07:25, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
I recommend you discuss and then delete the wrong additions one by one. Rorkadian (talk) 08:55, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
I'll give you examples of Varna appearing in info-box. Take for example Rajput. Do let me know if you are going to impose this rule only on the Ror article. Rorkadian (talk) 09:11, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- I have reverted you. By the looks of it, this thread covers the previous revert by Qwyrxian. So, you have now been reverted by two people and a reason has been given. Please take a look at WP:BRD, at WP:CONSENSUS and at WP:EW. Feel free to open a discussion on the article talk page but please do not reinstate the content again without doing so. You may want to review the talk page history prior to starting a discussion because I am pretty sure that some of the statements that you added have been discussed previously. - Sitush (talk) 09:59, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- Sitush, you have simply followed suit without even paying any heed to my request for discussing things before taking action. Anyway, since you are two ganging up against a single person, let's discuss the new population genetics section to begin with. Do you have any issue with the content and tone?? Rorkadian (talk) 10:51, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- And you have been reverted again. Standard policy on Wikipedia is that someone (you) boldly add something, then, if someone else disagrees, they revert it (which both Sitush and I have done), then you, the original person, need to go to the article's talk page and discuss the additions. Not re-add it. You can't add a ton of stuff, some of which is definitely and umabiguously violating past consensus and policy, and then say it's up to us to first discuss it. Please stop edit warring, and start discussing. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:23, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - Sitush (talk) 10:58, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Proposed deletion of Kadiyan
[edit]The article Kadiyan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:GNG. This seems to have its origins in the Jatland website, which is a very poor open wiki. I can find no reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sitush (talk) 05:14, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
