DYK for Herbert Bullmore
[edit]On 19 July 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Herbert Bullmore, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that before Herbert Bullmore practised medicine in Sydney, Australia, he was a blue in football and rowing at the University of Edinburgh, and represented Queensland and then Scotland in rugby? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Herbert Bullmore. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Hunkerin
[edit]You're right of course. The article had been tagged as a hoax by another editor, and at first glance it appeared so implausible that I lazily assumed that the tagging was correct without checking the details of the article. I've looked again, and I was clearly in error. I've restored the article now, and I can only offer my apologies, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:09, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- We've all done the Friday evening bit! Just glad this has been sorted quickly and with no lasting damage, if only all Wikipedia disputes were so easily resolved... Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:38, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
I'm sorry...
[edit]The only excuse I can offer is that it was late at night and I was eager to click the "csd" button in Twinkle. At first glance, it appeared to be a hoax, but when I looked back I realized that it wasn't. I'm a relatively new editor, but there's still no excuse to post an automated and impersonal note like that. My bad. Mrmewe (talk) 14:30, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Your Questia online library codes failed to deliver
[edit]We tried to use Wikipedia email to deliver your account access information but you either did not provide an email address in your preferences or had it set up not to receive messages from other editors. You can change both on the first page of Special:Preferences. To fix the situation directly or to let me know you've changed your preferences, just email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com.
