A belated welcome!

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Rohini. I see that you've already been around awhile and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! AshLin (talk) 13:34, 19 May 2011 (UTC) AshLin (talk) 13:34, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

I am from the Pune community but have attended the Mumbai meetup last year in Amitabh Kundan's home and the Jimbo Wales address. Feel free to approach for any help required. AshLin (talk) 13:34, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Re issues about Bandra

Hi Rohini,

The place to voice such concerns or intentions is Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics which is the talk page (by redirect) of WikiProject India.

But why wait? You should remove the dubious statements (such as "completely overshadowed") and weasel words (such as "wealthy") yourself. Where material is straightforwardly portrayed but unsubstantiated, you have two options — remove such material that is clearly false or dubious yourself; and in the case of material which is plausible or needs referencing, you can add the {{cn}} template which expands into the "needs citation" superscript tag, like this [citation needed].

I wonder whether you noticed History of Mumbai, History of Mumbai under British rule and History of Mumbai under Portuguese rule (1534–1661). Happy editing, AshLin (talk) 02:21, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest

Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.

As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.

If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.

You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

WP:FOOD Needs You!

Hi there Rohini! I've noticed you have yourself listed as a member of the Food and Drink Wikiproject. Unfortunately it looks like the project has been slowly sliding into inactivity except for a couple of people. That makes me a sad potato, and nobody likes a sad potato amirite?

If you'd like to turn my frown upside down, can you do two small things?

First off, go here and add {{Tick}} (checkY) next to your name if you're still part of the project.

Second, go to the project talkpage and participate in a discussion about how to make the project more active, and how to go about making articles in our area of interest a lot better.

You don't want to make me cry, do you? Potatoes have a lot of eyes you know. So come on, join in! :)

Humayun Abdulali

I see that you've reverted your undo, but why did you undo my automated edit in the first place? This seems to show a rather cavalier editing attitude and doesn't really WP:AGF. I would suggest you be slightly more judicious in future. Liamdavies (talk) 13:26, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Apologies for reverting your edit on the article on Humayun Abdulali. Rather than cavalier attitude, it is a case of misreading. I thought you had changed the name of the caption of the image of the Eurasian Blackbird in the article. Later I realised you replaced not the caption but the file name with the new name. When I figured this out, I undid my own revert. Again, apologies. -- Rohini (talk) 08:49, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

Welcome to the AfC team!

Hi, and welcome to WikiProject Articles for creation! We are a group of editors who work together on the Articles for creation and Files for upload pages.

A few tips that you might find helpful:

  • Please take time to fully read the reviewers' instructions before reviewing submissions.
  • The reviewers' talk page is the best place to ask for help or advice. You might like to watchlist this page, and you are encouraged to take part in any discussion that comes up.
  • Article submissions that need reviewing can be found in Category:Pending AfC submissions and there is also a useful list which is maintained by a bot.
  • You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions. There is also a project userbox. If you haven't done so already, please consider adding your name to the list of participants.
  • Several of our members monitor Wikipedia's help IRC channel, and you are welcome to join in to ask Wikipedia-related questions.
  • The IRC channel #wikipedia-en-afc connect is used occasionally for internal discussion regarding the Articles for Creation process, and also serves as a recent changes feed, displaying all edits made in the Articles for Creation namespace.
  • The help desk is the place where new editors can ask questions about their submissions. You are welcome to help in answering their questions.

Once again, welcome to the project. Anastasia [Missionedit] (talk) 21:56, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
