[edit]Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Stevenage, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 10:35, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
@Jim1138: Hi Jim1138 - I was trying to add some info to that page, then tried to create a separate page which could be accessed via a link. However, it seems very difficult and the process is user-unfriendly to do this. I have now created the linked page and trying to enter reference sources but I am failing to understand the tech-talk in the instruction pages which don't make it clear how to do this. Pity there isn't a layman's guide to editing and creating Wiki pages. Thanks RogerAcr (talk) 17:44, 24 January 2017 (UTC)RogerAcr
- Hi Roger. It looks like you figured it out quite well! I just saw your message. If this helps, see help:referencing for beginners and help:footnotes. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 01:50, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
@Jim1138:Many thanks, jim1138 ! I think it's one of those things that the more you play with it and use it, the 'easier' it becomes. The Visual Edit though makes it much more straightforward. Many thanks for your help and being available RogerAcr (talk) 09:57, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- It becomes easier, that is, if you survive the gauntlet! Jim1138 (talk) 10:13, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
