Welcome to the Novels WikiProject
Hi, and welcome to the Novels WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to fiction books, often referred to as "novels".
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated quite regularly. You can watch it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WikiProject Novels announcements}} there.
While you are updating your userpage, don't forget our userbox {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Outreach/User WPNOVELS}}. - Important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- Planning on starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines / template outlines some things to include.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the coordinators or an experienced member of the project; we will be happy to assist in any way we can. Again, welcome, and we look forward to seeing you around! —Ed (talk • majestic titan) 19:25, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

I have nominated The Heroes of Olympus, an article that you created, for deletion. Question
I noticed that several articles dealing with book serieses have one of those things at the bottom that's a box where there are links to related articles. I noticed that The Hunger Games trilogy does to have one of these. Can I help create one?? Also, I'm trying to create a page about the main character, Katniss Everdeen. It suggested that I start a page called User:Glimmer721/Katniss Everdeen to prevent deletion. When I finish it, how do I make it real? And how do connect it to the rest of the trilogy? Also, I'm having trouble putting a picture that I have saved on my compute into the Infobox.
Thank you, --Glimmer721 (talk) 16:17, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, the box on the bottom of articles is called a Navbox. You can create on at {{Hunger Games}}. When the page is completed you can move it to the desired location. Finally, the way to get a picture into an article is to upload it. You can then link to it in the article. I hope this answers your questions. If you wish to know more, feel free to ask. [[User:Rock d--Glimmer721 (talk) 00:21, 17 May 2010 (UTC)rum|Rock drum]] (talk·contribs·guestbook) 18:59, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- So I would go edit somethin relating to it and put at the bottom "Navbox" and would I set it up like an infobox? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Glimmer721 (talk • contribs) 22:07, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I've got the Navbox thing worked out and I can't upload the picture because I can't find the cover artist for the book. I'm done with the article, now I just need to figure out how to move it. --Glimmer721 (talk) 00:21, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'll tell you how to move the page; I just need to know which skin you are using. Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 15:49, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- I am on a laptop, so I guess it's not the mobile skin. Also, don't I have to become an "autoconfirmed" user to do that? I think I have the 10 edits, but this is my 3rd day. --Glimmer721 (talk) 21:51, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- Right, assuming you're using the Vector skin, which is the default, there should be an arrow at the top of the page. Hover over it and a drop-down menu should appear with two links: move and purge. Press move and it will take you to a page. Choose the place you want to move it to. You may have to wait for a bit until you are autoconfirmed or I could do it for you if you need it moved urgently. Cheers, Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 16:42, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
No, it's fine. THe articles are up. See: Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark--Glimmer721 (talk) 20:30, 19 May 2010 (UTC) P.S. On the Infobox, I have their age typed in, but it won't show up. I noticed that there are no ages posted for anyone I have searched, but I hought they used to.

Thank you for uploading this media,
However, it would be nice if you could clarify on the image description page, why you feel this image is public domain (adding an appropriate license tag). Adding license information also helps prevent media you've put effort into creating from being deleted :)
You may wish to read Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags#For_image_creators which will assist you :) Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:37, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Signpost logo mockup 2.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Signpost logo mockup 2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 20:56, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
Because you used a fair use rationale with your upload, the recommended copyright tag is {{non-free logo}}. Please add this to the image and remove the speedy delete template ({{di-no license}}).

The Signpost
Hi there, I found that you created this WikiProject page but have you requested this WikiProject to be on the Wikipedia Signpost (otherwise it's not a scheduled WikiProject report)? --Andromedabluesphere440 (talk) 16:18, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- I'm doing the report myself and have requested at the project's talk page. Regards, Rock drum Ba-dumCrash 16:19, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's OK, but have you talked to either Mono or Mabeenot about scheduling this project? Besides placing a request on a talk page doesn't mean that it will go through to become a schedulded WikiProject. Also, there's already WP:ANIMALS schedulded for 19th July. --Andromedabluesphere440 (talk) 16:26, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've chatted with Mabeenot. You can see our discussion here. Rock drum Ba-dumCrash 16:28, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, that makes sense! I was just concerned if you'd had the permission to do this. But it seems you have. Anyway, I don't think we need to go any further on this discussion. --Andromedabluesphere440 (talk) 16:33, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
