Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Newfoundland and Labrador Separatist-Nationalist Party, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. The page has been nominated for deletion, in accordance with Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Largo Plazo (talk) 04:18, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted the page before I could contest the nomination. How dare you declare that not only is this young political party (and therefore young wiki page that requires more additions and editing), not only does not exist, but constitutes Vandalism to wikipedia. I have been an ardent contributor to Wikipedia for a number of years but this is absurd! We're facing an election in a few months and I want the page restored. If I can be given more than 2 hours to write up a decent page for the Newfoundland and Labrador Separatist-Nationalist Party I would have. This is utterly beyond the pale in terms of political ignorance.

I cannot find any evidence that the party exists. There are a grand total of zero Google News or Google Web hits (except those related to the Wikipedia page). Even if this were not a hoax, it's pretty obvious that this organization isn't notable. Wait until there's significant media coverage, then write an article. Huon (talk) 06:15, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose most of the Party Banter has been in person. We're in talks with an interviewer for NTV News, although we do have a facebook page and a Twitter page not manned by myself, (facebook.com/NewfoundlandLabradorseparatistNationalistParty and Twitter.com/NL_SepNat_Party [under the name NL National Party] ; respectively). Although I just realized a Google search relates zero real results, which is a shame and I didn't realize it, thus I apologize for my brusque tone, I suppose Google hasn't cached the existence yet. However I assure you the party exists, although I now understand fully Why you wouldn't allow such a page, given no internet history and no access to physical history.

I'd still like to have my page returned at the soonest possible convenience, So I'll (We'll) try to expedite our existence to the internet as soon as possible (and as an admittedly in the entry a non-registered party, it wouldn't be found in Elections Canada or Elections NL either). Although please, for the love of god, just call it "un-notable" rather than assume a hoax, I think it's a little bit offensive and patronizing as a Canadian, but granted Wikipedia has become a battleground on politics I can understand the sentiment. My only desire to to hope you don't actually consider my new page vandalism or a complete joke, it is disheartening to hear what you strive for can be tossed aside like some anti-semitic or conspiratorial article. So I apologize if my article on my party ever came across that way. Sincerely, Rmm553 (talk) 09:36, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia requires significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject to have an article about a topic. As you just said, no such sources exist (yet). Thus we should (for now) not have an article on the party. Huon (talk) 14:46, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
