This edit was incorrect, as the spelling the the subject's name does not match the spelling of the musical instrument. Please check to make sure this article is ignored in the future for this particular correction. Thanks! - CobaltBlueTony 12:53, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Incorrection spelling
[edit]I corrected two edits recently because you changed "largly" to "largley". However, the word is actually spelled "largely". I realize this isn't your fault; your program needs a bit of fixing, that's all. Supertigerman 14:50, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Fixing typos in French
[edit]You made an incorrect fix to Phare de la Vieille ('commission' -> 'comission', which is incorrect even in English!). I don't think your policy ("If this is the case then please undo my erroneous correction and enclose the foreign-language text in tags") is reasonable. There is a *lot* of foreign language material on Wikipedia, and the onus is on *you* to check your typo fixes before you commit them, not on everyone else to use a particular tag around every single piece of foreign-language text. Please be more careful. Stevage 04:50, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Checked my contributions and that edit was the only incorrect one. Replied to user that I accept responsibility for this error. Rjwilmsi 06:44, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
In recognition of your tireless contributions...

Hello Rjwilmsi, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Rock bottom logo.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Rjwilmsi/Test. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:33, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Rjwilmsi!
[edit]Thanks for your intervention on Attraction to disability.
Now...
To be disinterested is to be altruistic (to lack a material incentive to do something; to do something pro bono). Motherly help is disinterested, because moms don't send their children bills for the care they lavished on them.
To be uninterested is not to be motivated at all. One may be uninterested in going to see Evita or A Holiday on Ice because one finds them deathly boring.
A nice distinction to remember :)
Fixed that one. Rjwilmsi 21:27, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
PAGE INTERUPTIONS / VANDALISM
[edit]205.188.117.6 "BEATLEWILL" This user has repetedly used a main article page to use it for a forum to rant his "opinions" (not facts) - it has already been reverted to the talk or discussion page where is belongs by a wise monitor/editor. But he refuses to take heed and puts up the same "disputes" and "opinion pieces" on a main subject page. THis is esp. true for the article on ART LORIA where the article shows his contributions to the music industry and is sourced, referenced and cited and properly formated.
Then 205.188.117.6 "BEATLEWILL" will come along and deface the article and rant about his opinions on his particular taste in music. Seems that because Mr. Loria was a "DOO WOP" performer, this vandal who has a more un-flattering for that genre of music, rather would share his opionin of the Beatles instead. BEATLEWILL even calims to be a spokesperson foe the Beatles and offers statements on what Yoko Ono or Psul McCartney would have to say. This is a disgrace! But totally acceptable if placed in the right forum. He has been corrected officially once, warned several times, but his banter continues.
That is is right and opinion of course - we just ask that he not be allowed to deface and disgrace an article main page in doing so. It takes away from the integrity of the music, theartist and WIKIPEDIA. Please follow the history of this user and look into this matter / complaint I have discussd. I'm doing research for a book and this is getting quite annoying. I'm not interested in his opinions of the Beatles, I'm interested in certain Doo Wop artists - it is greatly appriciated.
Vandalism isn't an area I currently work on. Rjwilmsi 21:28, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Capitalization in Quebec English
[edit]Hello,
Please note that the capitalized spellings of anglophone and francophone are typically American. Quebec English is a Canadian topic, and so it should follow Canadian spelling according to WP:ENGVAR. Please see WP:CAPITAL for an explanation of when to capitalize these words. I am reverting the change. Joeldl 23:56, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- I've reported this to WP:RETF/T. Rjwilmsi 06:49, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Par excellance
[edit]Thanks for a well-intended edit on Shiva, but your script may not have recognized the foreign language phrase "par excellance" resulting in changing the French "excellance" to English "excellence". Perhaps your script can be updated to make an exception. [1] Buddhipriya 02:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Replied, the French is 'excellence' but have asked whether this is a direct quote including a misspelling. Rjwilmsi
- I will add the sic tag as you suggest, but the phrase "par excellance" is in common use as documented in Webster's Dictionary. It is not a misspelling. The problem that spell checkers have with the phrase is noted in the Webster's article. Buddhipriya 02:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- My interpretation of the Websters link is that spellcheckers will correctly suggest that 'par excellance' should be 'par excellence', but the original text was a direct quote, so it doesn't matter. Rjwilmsi 07:12, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

AWB on CamelCase
[edit]Hi -- just wanted to let you know that the "CamelCase" article contains spellings etc. which should not be flagged as typos by AWB. For instance "MicroSoft" -- cited as an older spelling of "Microsoft" -- "CalTech" cited as a common misspelling of "Caltech." Thanks. -- Myke Cuthbert (talk) 03:46, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- Replied - have added exception. Rjwilmsi 07:12, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Old English
[edit]Hi, when using AWB and other robots, can you please be aware that older or non-standard language forms may not have dictionary spellings. So in the Germanic Strong Verb article, writen is the correct spelling of the Old English word. Thanks, --Doric Loon 08:37, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. This had happened twice in three days, hence my urgent tone, but that should fix it. --Doric Loon 18:57, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
