Speedy deletion nomination of Dr Vikas Mishra

[edit]

Hello Ritvikvikasmishra,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Dr Vikas Mishra for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Shovon (talk) 10:14, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Dr Vikas Mishra

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Dr Vikas Mishra. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Mission India

[edit]

Dr. Trivedi was Economic Adviser to Government of India from 1992-94.Though he later joined the World Bank and served as a distinguished Senior Economist for fourteen years his heart was always set to make a substantial contribution to his country India. On January 2, 2009, Dr Trivedi got a call from the cabinet secretary(India) to join the Indian Government. A reluctant World Bank was advising him to wait for the elections to get over before taking the plunge. He told them "I shouldn’t be thinking about election results if I am serious about what I want to do. I am going there for the country, not for the government" and that’s the reason why his post was made a bureaucratic assignment. Dr. Prajapati Trivedi was given the charge of the Secretary to the Government of India with the responsibility for Performance Management. Based in the Cabinet Secretariat, he reviews and reports on the performance of all government departments to the Cabinet Secretary/Prime Minister. In addition, he is Chairman of the National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention. Performance Management Division, Cabinet Secretariat was set up by the Government in January, 2009 with Dr. Prajapati Trivedi as Secretary (Performance Management) with a mandate to roll out the PMES. The PMES/RFD system in its first Phase covered 59 Departments in 2009-10. In its fourth year of implementation in 2012-13, the system presently extends to 80 Departments/ Ministries and some 800 Responsibility Centers (attached offices/ subordinate offices/ autonomous organizations) of the Central Government. Within its four years of implementation, PMES has established itself as a system that takes a comprehensive view of the Departmental performance by measuring all schemes projects (iconic and non-iconic) and all relevant aspects of expected departmental deliverables: financial, physical, quantitative, qualitative, static efficiency (short run) and dynamic efficiency. The systems aim to provide a unified and single view of Department’s overall performance

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vikas Mishra (academic) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Jackson Peebles (talk) 09:51, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Vikas Mishra (academic). If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. It appears as though you have deleted the speedy deletion tag on an article that you have taken ownership of. Please see what Wikipedia is not and our policy on promotion. You may not do this, and, while you may have gotten away with it once, I strongly advise doing so again or you will likely be banned. Jackson Peebles (talk) 09:55, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon The article Vikas Mishra (academic) as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the page Prajapati Trivedi, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition was deleted under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License." You may also e-mail or mail the Foundation to release the content. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more.

While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. I see that on the article's talk page you stated that you are the sole owner of the content that you posted. I suggest that, if that is true, you approach the owners of the various web sites that have quoted excerpts from your work, such as Forbes India and the Indian government, and ask them to stop making false claims about the copyright of that content. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:24, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon I see that you claimed that File:Dr Vikas Mishra,Indian Economist,Official Photo.jpg was a personal photograph from your private collection, and failed to mention that it has been published in The Tribune. If you continue to make such highly dubious copyright claims, you will be blocked from editing. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:34, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Dr Vikas Mishra with Mother Teresa.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Derivative work of an old picture, no evidence of a free license.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
