Could you help me?
Hi, I'm trying to get Rust (video game) up to good article standard. I wanna get an opinion on how I'm going so far, I've fixed the lead, development and gameplay sections and I'm going to work on expanding and fixing the reception section later. I know you're good at the whole 'writing good articles' because I've reviewed two of your nominations and all/most of the talk page entries on here are about GA reviews . --Anarchyte 10:56, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
- Hey Anarchyte, I appreciate the kind words about me! I'm always happy to help, in whatever way possible.
- I think what you've achieved so far is really good, although it's always good to proof-read your work for grammar considerations. I've just gone through the article and made some minor edits (if I've done anything that you don't agree with, feel free to revert my edit, or mention it below or on the talk page). If I may be a bit critical: some of the words and phrases used on the article aren't really appropriate for Wikipedia, such as "wouldn't" and "As time went on". That's not a major problem, but I felt like I should mention it.
- Another thing I noticed is the excessive use of the phrase "the player" in the 'Gameplay' section. I understand how hard it is to avoid this (I've written these types of sections a few times myself), but it was used a few too many times. I also think a gameplay screenshot should be added to the 'Gameplay' section, if possible. Maybe even a visual comparison between the original game and the updated version could be added to the 'Development' section?
- Speaking of which, do you think it would be possible to expand the 'Development' section? Obviously, I haven't really researched the topic, so I can't say much about it, but some editors (including myself) have managed to create entire articles about the development of some games, so I'd expect there to be a bit more information on Rust out there (perhaps you could look for some interviews with the developers?). The lead should also be expanded to include more information about the gameplay, development and reception of the game (see The Last of Us or Grand Theft Auto V).
- As for bringing the article up to GA standard: although I have faith that you could bring it up to the standard, I'm not too sure that the nomination would even be reviewed in the near future, as the game is still in alpha (I'm not sure if there's a guideline on this). Instead, I think it would be good to work on the article to a high standard, and maintain this high standard until the game is eventually released, at which point the additional information can be included, and the nomination process can take place. Just a suggestion.
- Feel free to let me know if I can help in any other way! Thanks. -- Rhain1999 (talk to me) 11:34, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
- GANs on unreleased games are quick-failed for completeness/stability, ostensibly because the article will need to radically change in the months following the game's release with reviews and new gameplay updates and whatnot. – czar 14:24, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Rhain1999: Hi again, I wanna compare 2 pictures. I don't know how to do this so umm, could you maybe do it? The 2nd picture is already on the article (I took the screenshot and uploaded it) but the 2nd picture is located here (Source). I don't know if this is allowed to be used because I found it on the Devblog of the game. --Anarchyte 11:27, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
- Anarchyte, good choice with the gameplay screenshot on the article (however, it was far too large, per WP:NFCC#3a, so I've reduced the size).
- As for the comparison: it would be good to get images of very similar in-game scenarios and compare them (this can be seen here, here and here). If you don't know how to edit two images together, then I can do this for you, if you provide the images. Of course, a comparison image isn't required for the article, but if there is a significant difference between the original and updated versions of the game, then I think it would be a good addition. -- Rhain1999 (talk to me) 11:40, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Rhain1999: I've found the two pictures.
- My picture (I took this screenshot): Uploaded here
- Other picture (I did not take this screenshot): Here (Source) Anarchyte 04:01, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, Anarchyte. Would it be possible to get screenshots of identical locations/scenes (see my examples above), or were the maps from the old version of the game reset for the new update? – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 04:08, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
- As there's no single player in this game, Rhain1999, the hosts of the muliplayer servers can reset the maps at any time. I might be able to explore one and try and get a picture similar to 2nd one. Anarchyte 04:18, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
- Anarchyte, that would be good. I'll upload a comparison image shortly (using your above screenshots), and if you find a better screenshot, just let me know and I'll edit and re-upload the image accordingly. Thanks. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 04:19, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Rhain1999: Here, I took 6 additional screenshots. One may be useful. Anarchyte 08:42, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, Anarchyte. I just uploaded the image, and added it to the article. Let me know if you'd like anything changed. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 09:01, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

Caution on date switches
While I'm not complaining (and probably would have looked to do it in time) about the date format switches you did in this [1], be aware that wholesale date format switches like that should not be done without seeking consensus first , per MOS:DATERET. Other editors are very protective of their selected date format. As I said, in time, I would have likely opened discussion to seek consensus to switch on that article so its not an issue there, just for future situations. --MASEM (t) 14:40, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know about that, Masem. I was cautious to make that change as I was editing, but I ultimately just decided to go with it. In the future, I'll definitely seek consensus beforehand. Thanks! – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 14:43, 5 July 2015 (UTC)

The Last of Us
Thank you for quality articles on video games such as The Last of Us, supported by featured lists, and Wolfenstein: The New Order, for reviews, redirects and precision, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
- Thank you! This is extremely thoughtful of you. It means a lot. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 07:31, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
Having a staff directory is profoundly unencyclopedic, especially for such a poorly verified article. There is no other place where we do that (a "production manager" isn't like the guitar player in a band), and the article you linked as evidence, The Yogscast, is a bloated, horrible piece of fan work. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 15:40, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
- Drmies, I understand. Thank you for clarifying. Surely it wouldn't hurt to have the main five hosts listed, though (and perhaps Caleb, Lindsay, Matt and Jeremy, as well)? At the very least? – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 15:42, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
- Rhain, there is always an exception, and there actually may be one here (but it was a hard-fought one). On TV stations we do something like "current faces", with the current anchors and stuff, with a reference to the company website. (Not necessarily the reporters, the camera crew, etc.) That could be considered here. (The ones with articles should stay, of course.) If you can trim the list to include those that you can conceivably argue they're important, and provide a link, that would be much better--basically, that's the kind of employees who could easily be notable by our standards. Note that I mentioned "production manager", someone who works off-screen, so to speak; I could have mentioned "community manager" too. Will that work? (Oh, for "former", consensus in those TV and radio articles is that "formers" are only listed if they have articles. Neutralhomer, am I remembering this correctly?) And in general, of course, the best thing you can do for the article is improve the references--you know this stuff better than I do. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 15:46, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, the first part has been changed. Anchors, reporters, and the other on-air staff are no longer considered notable just because they are on the station's "On Air Staff" page. The thinking is, since the station's website is listed and the "On Air Staff" page is easily found on every site, it doesn't need to be listed.

Source for the episode 9 Doctor Who
Hi,
Have you got the sources of the announcement that the episode 9 is written by Mark Gatiss
Cordialy, --Jitrixis (talk) 13:58, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- Jitrixis, Den of Geek mentioned it here. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 13:59, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, but that's only guesses. An article of BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/doctorwho/entries/fd3d5d2b-bb11-4e24-862e-7ce282413e1c said they didn't film this episode yet. So until this episode isn't filmed we can only guess what it is (and maybe they can change their mind). The only one thing that we can say is Mark is one of the lead writter annouced later by the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/doctorwho/entries/3c966a53-430b-4764-9b78-b44aef223a17 . --Jitrixis (talk) 14:05, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- "Also announced: Mark Gatiss is writing episode nine" does not seem like "only guesses" to me. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 14:09, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree but where. The last publication made by the BBC didn't mention anything of the episode 9. I will made some research in older publication of the BBC and twitter, but I really disagree with the fact of melting official annouce and fan announce, maybe only add some lines about the fact he write for the 9 series and it might be the episode 9. Until, you or me found a stronger source to said "he has written the episode 9", I will reedit in arround 15 min. ;) --Jitrixis (talk) 14:20, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the harv refs on Slalom. It's always annoying to have a single source that needs multiple page footnotes... (And you know how much I like citing the original manuals anyway.) Wanted to let you know, though, that {{sfn}} stacks, so you don't need to put it in <ref name="blah">

Disruptive Editing
Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Grand Theft Auto V. Your edits have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Please do not respond here but on the relevant article's talk page. Thank you. Mainline421 (talk) 13:00, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Mainline421, can you please explain how my edits are disruptive? As far as I'm concerned, you're only reverting them because they don't conform to what you want on the article. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 13:03, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- To be blunt you seem to be describing your own behavior (probably because you knew I was about to say the same to you but more politely). Your edits serve nothing to enhance the article and so far have all removed information and added incorrect information. They may be good faith but they are only disrupting the process of building an encyclopedia. Mainline421 (talk) 13:48, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Mainline421: I have not added any information to the article (certainly not incorrect information). In addition, the only information that I have removed from the main article is already present on the Development article; it is unnecessary for this to be repeated. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 13:50, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

hello, im from brazil and im a medical student. recently in trevor post there is a mistake. you said that i don't have the correct sources, would you help me editing it? together with my medical knowledge and your wikipedia knowledge we can find articles and conclusions enough to assume he is bipolar and not a sociopath. thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mindingulove (talk • contribs) 00:59, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for contacting me, Mindingulove. If you can find a reliable source confirming that Trevor has bipolar, as opposed to being a sociopath, then it can be added to the article accordingly. Unfortunately, without this source, your additions are seen as original research, which is not acceptable. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 01:01, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Rhain1999/sandbox
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Rhain1999/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://gtavspointblank.blogspot.com/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Development of Grand Theft Auto V. 20:37, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Mainline421 (talk)
- do you even have that kind of authority? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.132.96.55 (talk) 21:17, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Mainline421: Allow me to explain every one of my changes to the article:
- The change of "PC, PS4 and Xbox One" to "Re-release" in the "Editions" table is simply due to restricting the use of abbreviations (PS4 instead of PlayStation 4), though I'm apathetic about this.
- Moving the information regarding the PC delay to the end of the paragraph about the other delays is to avoid having such a small paragraph about the PC delays. It's also just nicer (and makes sense) to group related information.
- Adding a link to Trevor Philips in the {{Further}} template makes sense, because there is more information about the development of the character on the article, although I'm also rather apathetic about this.
- It makes more sense to me that the "re-release" section is placed below "Music production", and you've already said that you "don't care that much" about it, so I guess that's clear.
- As for the "Re-release" section itself: placing the image on the right and the quote on the left looks much better and cleaner (in my opinion). Also, the organisation of your edit doesn't make too much sense to me. By splitting the paragraph in two, you're leaving both paragraphs without a reference at the end. Not to mention that it just seems to flow better in my edit (and that's not being stuck-up, by the way; I didn't write the content, I simply adapted it from the earlier re-release article).
- If you disagree with any of my points, please feel free to say. Let's get this sorted out, and bring it to an end. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 07:47, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 10th British Academy Games Awards, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Tearaway, Castles in the Sky and Brian Tyler. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Hi, I had some questions regarding the edits you made to my article at Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, regarding the controversy section specifically.
I believe it would be appropriate to at least mention the facts behind the initial release (of the pre-order as well as the expansion itself). Was my little paragraph too specific, did it feel biased, or what was wrong with it in general? Or should we add a "Reception" part of the article, similar to the main Guild Wars 2 page?
Thanks, and I appreciate the changes and brush-ups that you made to my article!
Kyubei (talk) 06:30, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- Kyubei, thanks for getting in touch! My main concern with the Controversy section was that it was a bit too detailed and specific; mentioning the post on the subreddit (and that it's the highest voted post), might be notable if it's covered by a reliable, independent source, but none were listed on the article. Also, I should mention that the majority of the section relied heavily on the one reference from PCGamesN, which has been deemed unreliable per WP:VG/RS. In saying that, PC Gamer is listed as reliable, so I'm sure something can be written about the reaction to the pricing. In terms of your actual wording: words like "rightly" is editorialising (unless being used as a direct quote), so you should avoid these. Also, contractions such as "don't" should generally be avoided at all costs; use "do not" instead. I definitely think that the section needs a "Reception" section, citing professional reviews from reliable sources; there are plenty of featured articles with well-written Reception sections, such as Grand Theft Auto V and Fez, if you'd like to take a look. Let me know if I can help with anything else! – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 11:14, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- It's also best to avoid "controversy" sections. czar 14:23, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 22
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of L.A. Noire characters, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MediaWorks. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom
Hey. Since you made the Ni No Kuni Good Topic, I'm giving you a heads up on the announcement of the new sequel. Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom brings a fairytale RPG to PS4. While there's no release yet, by the time the article gets made it will have to be part of the topic, which requires unreleased video games to be peer reviewed first. Just a heads-up. GamerPro64 19:54, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, GamerPro64! Happy to say that I watched the announcement live, and I'm adding it to the Ni no Kuni article now. I'll be sure to take all of that into consideration when making the article. Thanks again! – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 19:57, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

Autopatrolled
Hi Rhain1999, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 17:55, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
