My RfA Card

[edit]

How does this look as a rough start?

> > > An RfA Card to You < < <
The mop!
The mop!
Dear Rgoodermote/archives. I would like to give you my thanks for voting in my second RfA, which passed or failed with a final vote of 0/0/0.

I iz serius!!

With these admin tools, I will try my hardest to keep Wikipedia a safe place and even make it safer than it is now. In particular, I would like to thank Rgoodermote for supporting me every step of the way, Jayron32 for adopting me and unofficially coaching me (I give him credit; I hope I didn't nag you, Jayron!), and Gnangarra for being my official admin coach.

Please do not feel left out if I haven't thanked you in here. So many Wikipedians have helped me to grow as a user, an editor, but most importantly, as a person. If you voted in favor of me in my second RfA, then I thank you, and I hope I do not let you down in any way (if I do, feel free to speak your mind on my talk page). If you opposed my RfA, then I hope my actions speak louder than my words, and you will not be disappointed with me as an administrator.

My apologies if this was a long RfA card. Just keep editing, be an active and supportive contributor to the 'pedia, and I'd love to work with you all in the future. Until then, hasta luego (see you later), and have a wonderful day! [[|]]User talk: (Contribs)

Template Design

[edit]

Could you tell me how to have a template desgin in my talk page ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Connortt9 (talkcontribs) 19:21, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I want a design , many editors have a design on their talk page , where can I get it ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Connortt9 (talkcontribs) 19:28, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, looks like you have one. Sorry I couldn't help you. Btw, Robert, if you can help me to make my nomination and RfA better, you can. As of now, I have no intention of becoming an administrator; seems like all people are going to do is find something wrong and complain about it to me. RfA card update

The mop!
Dear Rgoodermote/archives, I would like to give you my thanks for voting in my second RfA, which passed/failed with a final vote of 0 support, 0 oppose, and 0 neutral.

I iz serius!!

On February 11, 2003, Jimbo Wales (userpage), founder of Wikipedia and Wikia, stated in a message:

I just wanted to say that becoming a sysop is not a big deal.

I think perhaps I'll go through semi-willy-nilly and make a bunch of people who have been around for awhile sysops. I want to dispel the aura of "authority" around the position. It's merely a technical matter that the powers given to sysops are not given out to everyone.

I don't like that there's the apparent feeling here that being granted sysop status is a really special thing.

— Jimbo Wales, [1]

I would like to thank you for voting in my RfA, regardless of whether or not you voted for or against my RfA. In my opinion, each person's vote is valued and appreciated. I would like to thank my good Wikipedia friend Rgoodermote for supporting me in this RfA process since the very beginning. Since I met Rgoodermote in December of 2007, he has been kind to me, and still is. Secondly, I would like to thank my admin friends, of whom include Jayron32 (my adopter), Gnangarra (my admin coach), Rodhullandemu, Pedro, and Chetblong. These administrators have helped me in some way to become a better Wikipedian.

I wish you all happy editing, and I hope to work with all of you in the future. [[|]]User talk: (Contribs)

I'm debating if I should have Jimbo Wales's quote in the beginning. [[|]]User talk: (Contribs) 18:14, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Happy Leap Day

[edit]

Happy Leap Day, btw.

I got rid of my RfA. I'm so tired of people grumbling and complaining about everything, and I'm not ready yet. I need to focus on my academic stuff. Perhaps this summer. [[|]]User talk: (Contribs) 03:14, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

It's just that I'm so exhausted. Between school, people, and seeing things like this and this really frustrate me. [[|]]User talk: (Contribs) 03:28, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, you're strong. Also, your archive is like this for me. [[|]]User talk: (Contribs) 08:17, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
How is that the case? [[|]]User talk: (Contribs) 18:53, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Interesting... I see it the exact opposite; I'm too cowardly to even think of going to surgery. [[|]]User talk: (Contribs) 23:45, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
And, yes, I could. :) [[|]]User talk: (Contribs) 23:46, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

New York City Meetup

Next: Sunday March 16th, Columbia University area
Last: 1/13/2008
This box: view  talk  edit

In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, and have salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the last meeting's minutes).

Well also make preparations for our exciting Wikipedia Takes Manhattan event, a free content photography contest for Columbia University students planned for Friday March 28 (about 2 weeks after our meeting).

In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.

You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.

You're also invited to subscribe to the public Wikimedia New York City mailing list, which is a great way to receive timely updates.
This has been an automated delivery because you were on the invite list. BrownBot (talk) 03:26, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Food for Thought

[edit]

I have a new section on my Food for Thought page. I'd love to hear what you or anyone else would have to say. the Awesomest Vampirechick 18:55, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's okay. I'm not trying to make people mad, I'm just curious. I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. I'm sorry if I offended you (or anyone else for that matter) the Awesomest Vampirechick 18:41, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure if you intended this edit but I reverted as vandalism. Rgoodermote  13:41, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is what happens when too many people rush to revert vandalism. :) --thunderboltz(TALK) 13:45, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
From what I see in this edit you seemed to revert to another state of vandalism. So I was curious. Rgoodermote  13:47, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Anyways, it seems to be an interesting mistake so I am just going to continue with patrols. Have a good one. Rgoodermote  13:51, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, that's what happened. I accidentally rolled back to a vandalised version, which you reverted, only to lead to yet another vandalised version. Good luck with the patrols. :)--thunderboltz(TALK) 14:05, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers Rgoodermote  14:06, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your VandalSniper Application

[edit]
Good day, and thank you for applying to use the counter-vandalism tool VandalSniper. I am pleased to inform you that your application has been accepted, and you are now approved to use the tool. You are now welcome to download the program - and be sure to read the features guide, if you have not already done so.

Please bear in mind that VandalSniper is a powerful program, and that misuse may result in your access being withdrawn by a moderator. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, and once again welcome to VandalSniper!

Kind regards,

Re: RfA

[edit]

Okey dokey, shall do. –The Obento Musubi 17:49, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, but can we do it a bit later (in an hour or so)? I have so many quizzes and tests coming up today and tomorrow, and I must prepare right now for my impromptu speech (which isn't really an impromptu). Pardon the inconvenience! –The Obento Musubi 17:58, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I did it, and you can see it at WP:Requests for adminship/Rgoodermote 2. I have a request. I couldn't access your edit contributions page, so please replace # contributions with the real number. Thanks! –The Obento Musubi 18:30, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Left you some questions, just FYI. Tiptoety talk 22:57, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Closed your RfA

[edit]

Hey, I just closed it as withdrawn, there is just too much content to delete it. During your next RfA just explain the situation, it will not hurt you. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 03:43, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry it didn't work out. If you need any help, feel free to leave me a message on my new page. Peace! –The Obento Musubi 08:51, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, you shouldn't say that. It's not a waste of time. Look, I'm just gonna keep editing Wikipedia and I'm going to wait another while to either be nominated or nominate myself for adminship. I hope I am helping the community out more, and I can't wait to see what happens. In the meantime, you should just edit more pages. That'll help you a lot. –The Obento Musubi 16:25, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okey dokey. –The Obento Musubi 16:31, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why so long? –The Obento Musubi 16:33, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tiptoety's talk page was still on my watchlist after our last interaction, so I couldn't help but notice your post there. There's lots of things to do other than revert vandalism:

Alright, I am currently working on a list of articles that you may be interested in contributing to, I noticed that you said you read the Noble Dead series, then I noticed it was a red link...see where I am going here. It is a topic you know a fair amount about, and enjoy reading, so why not make an article for it? Please remember WP:NB though when you are making it. Let me know if you need any help. Tiptoety talk 18:28, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thank you for doing that, although it wasn't necessary. My old page doesn't exist anyway, so... But, thanks for doing it anyway. It means a lot. :) –The Obento Musubi (Contributions) 03:44, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have a coach?

[edit]

Hey there Rgood, I was just taking a look at your edits to see if we might be able to hook you up with a coach and noticed that you appear to have one already? As such, I'm going to remove you from the list. If this is incorrect, please add yourself back. thanksBalloonman (talk) 08:14, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ooops, I think I misread it... I am looking at your edits though... If they look good, I'll see what I can do about hooking you up with a coach.Balloonman (talk) 08:15, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would be happy to be your admin coach. If you're fine with this, create a subpage in your userspace and we'll get started. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not love) 17:43, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The list of participants of the Pokémon WikiProject is quite sizable, however, there is no way to determine which of whom are active contributors to that project. All participants in the list have been moved to Inactive. If you consider yourself to be an active member of the Pokémon WikiProject, please go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon#Participants and move your username to the Active section. Thank you. Chris Chelios Article

[edit]

I know had messaged me about my addition to the Chelios page. I also linked a video but it was removed because it didn't go with wiki standards. This video is proof of him saying "he hates detroit...etc." Here is the link, if you'd like to add it properly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9kZbdnzMRQ this is proof that during his last season (directly before his trade to detroit) that he said what I put into the article.
