Speedy deletion nomination of Pine Bluff Saenger Theatre
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Pine Bluff Saenger Theatre requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Creating your first article
[edit]Whoa, slow down Wikipedia and your article subject are not going anywhere. Please take the time to start a new article correctly. Copying and pasting copyrighted material from another website is against community policy, and may violate copyright law. Starting an article is where you need to look for guidance on writing an article. Remember content that violates any copyrights will be deleted. Encyclopedic content must be verifiable. Cheers. - I got the article started, you can find it here Saenger Theatre (Pine Bluff, Arkansas). Please take the time to look at WP:Getting started, that will give you a basic understanding of how this all works. Cheers. EricSerge (talk) 03:51, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Are you Brenda Hall?
[edit]If so, we can make your life easier. :-) See the link to Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials above. Melchoir (talk) 23:55, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- Melchior, donating copyright materials is irrelevant - by the time the story has been written up as a proper article, it won't be a copyvio. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:29, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Block
[edit]Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. The theatre is on the NRHP so if you actually managed to write a proper article, it would stick quite easily. But simply posting the same hopeless polemic five times does absolutely nothing. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:26, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
