Welcome to Wikipedia. It appears that you have added a link to an image on an external website to Windows 8, likely in an attempt to display that image on the page. For technical and policy reasons, it is not possible to use images from external websites on Wikipedia. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request an upload. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. -- MST☆R (Chat Me!) 11:34, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Codename Lisa. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Windows 8, but you didn't provide a reliable source. I've removed it for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Codename Lisa (talk) 11:26, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Removing AfD template
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Windows Blue. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot t • c » 17:24, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Windows 8, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. Orphaned non-free media (File:WINDOWS 8 START SREEN SQUEEZED VIEW.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:WINDOWS 8 START SREEN SQUEEZED VIEW.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:32, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:VLC NEW LOGO.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:VLC NEW LOGO.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:24, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
Your addition to VLC APP IN WINDOWS 8.jpg has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Toddst1 (talk) 11:52, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

Hello, HPD. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article VLC media player, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 14:15, 30 December 2012 (UTC)

Using speedy deletion templates
Hi HPD. I just noticed that you put a speedy deletion template on Codename Lisa's user page, deleting all the other content on it. Did you have a particular reason for doing that? Because normally when people remove all the content from other people's user pages it is regarded as vandalism, and it's really not a good idea to vandalise Wikipedia because doing so repeatedly will get you blocked. Maybe there is a specific file you want to tag for speedy deletion? If you can tell me the name of the file, or the name of the page the file is on, I can investigate whether or not it should be deleted if you like. Edit summaries
It is great to see a fairly new editor completing editing summaries. However could you please not type them in all capitals? - Shiftchange (talk) 10:56, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
- I meant to add a link to our page on edit summaries. Note that it is easy to find help by using the search box. Just type "wp:xxx", where xxx is the thing you need help with. The wp: limits the search to Wikipedia pages and not everything else. Also don't forget to add four tildes after you comments or replies to sign them. There is a lot to learn but if you take some time to peruse our policies and guidelines as well as follow advice, your contributions will be worthy and should remain for a very long time. - Shiftchange (talk) 11:19, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 7
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:19, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hello, HPD. I saw your comment saying that you did not understand the message above. Let me try to explain. A disambiguation page is used when a title might refer to more than one article. For example, WMA might refer to Windows Media Audio, but it could also refer to Warsash Maritime Academy, or to the World Music Awards, or to the Pearl Jam song called "W.M.A.", not to mention a number of other things. When you put a link to WMA in the GOM Audio article, you almost certainly meant Windows Media Audio, but a reader who is not familiar with this technology might not know that. So it's much better to change the link to take the reader directly to the correct article. I've made the necessary changes to this article. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 12:54, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Firefox in Windows 8.JPG
Thanks for uploading File:Firefox in Windows 8.JPG. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. Non-free rationale for File:GOM Audio Player.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:GOM Audio Player.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:31, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:GOM Audio Player.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:GOM Audio Player.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:31, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
File source problem with File:GOM Audio Player.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:GOM Audio Player.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:31, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

Usage share image
Hello. I've just reverted your image addition on the Usage share of operating systems and OS X page. The image did not correlate with the data already in the former article, which also included an up to date graph. A graph, using the software provided, would suffice on the OS X page, and the data would have to be accurate for it to be of use. drewmunn talk 10:41, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
- I have reverted your changes again, as you have not addressed the above issues. Your contribution on the Usage share page is completely unnecessary and contradicts information that has been cited as correct. A bar chart using the built in software would suffice on the OS X page, but a PNG is acceptable, only if the information displayed is correct. Please provide a citation to prove your correctness, and proving the existing bar chart is incorrect. If that is the case, update the bar chart, don't add a second, contradictory one. drewmunn talk 11:09, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
- Please remove the image. The data is still incorrect, and you are not listening to what I have been saying. There is already a share chart on the page. If that is out of date (it isn't) update that. Don't add a second one. drewmunn talk 11:21, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Hello, HPD. File:Usage Share of OS in 2013.png, which you have uploaded, lacks source information. If you tell me its source, I will handle everything necessary to keep this file, including addition of appropriate tags. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 11:23, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
- How funny was that? I was literally just going to invite you here for your opinion! Anyway, do you think the PNG is a good way to go on other articles (unless you haven't guessed, I'm against it on the Usage Share article due to difficulty editing it, and an existing setup)? drewmunn talk 11:28, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

- As I have written, if you are updating, then please do so using the current setup, as this is more editable, and much easier to maintain. A PNG requires a new version every time it's changed, rather than an in-browser edit. drewmunn talk 11:15, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:VLC Media Player 2.0.6 main window in Windows 8.PNG
Thanks for uploading File:VLC Media Player 2.0.6 main window in Windows 8.PNG.
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 17:04, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- Since the image contains copyrighted content, it's a non-free image and you've correctly tagged it as such. Another user pointed out, though, that we can achieve the same illustration of the VLC player by showing a screenshot of it running on a free platform such as Linux, so we don't need this copyrighted file. (ESkog)(Talk) 17:13, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hello. I just notice the image problem and fixed it. Actually, all I did was to correctly change its license to what it is. VLC media player is a free and open-source product, and so as long as you indicate this, you need not worry about a use rationale or it size. Best regards,

I don't know what is worse: That you constantly insist on replacing free screenshots with non-free ones or that you use uppercase file name extensions. Anyway: Stop replacing free content with non-free content. You've been told that more than once now.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Google Chrome Windows 8 Mode.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Google Chrome Windows 8 Mode.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ViperSnake151 Talk 04:47, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

re United States
I saw you made this comment about me: "My edit was suddernly deleted by an user Golbez, he wrote in summary that "if you're referring to spanish being official in a state, you at the very least omitted Hawaiian". Now wott do u mean by dis ???"
You added "Spanish" as a "recognized regional language". First of all, so far as I know there's no official recognition from the federal government, so you'd need a source stating that Spanish is in fact a "recognized regional language". If you mean it's recognized as an official language by one of the states, that is wrong too. New Mexico comes closest but it appears they don't place it on equal footing with English. In fact, the only language that is official in any state other than English is Hawaiian. If you were to add Spanish to the infobox on the grounds that it's official in one state, you'd have to at least add Hawaiian and maybe French as well. --Golbez (talk) 18:02, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:2014iccworldt20.png
Thanks for uploading File:2014iccworldt20.png.
Thank you. --Bloonstdfan360 / talk / contribs 03:58, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

SVG
Himanis, you really need to stop uploading SVGs until you know what they are. They are not a replacement for all other image formats, and using them as if they are means lower quality images and more server power is used. SVGs should only be used for simple objects (made of circles, squares, and similar basic geometries) that are filled with block or basic gradient colours that fall within a very restricted range. The Keynote icon, for instance, is not suitable for conversion. Neither is a screenshot or photograph. When you upload something as an SVG that should be a PNG, you're adding an extra process into image hosting, as SVGs are converted into a PNG every time someone loads an article. So do everyone a favour, stop uploading them, and read the guidance (this is nowhere near complete, but it should help you somewhat). Alternatively, don't upload any SVGs until you first ask someone whether it is a good choice of format. drewmunn talk 14:36, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
- Oh! But Ankit Maity told me in Facebook that icons like File:Opera browser logo 2013.png and others images go best in SVG on Wikipedia. So from then onwards, I gave my tight effort in converting the images to SVG, at first also I tried to convert the Opera logo even, but I failed and then you know .....
- HPD talk 17:36, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
- The Opera logo fits the list I gave above. It's made out of simple shapes and contains a basic gradient fill. Not much else that you've tried to convert does fit the bill, so you need to look into more before trying again. drewmunn talk 20:12, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
- So you mean to say that SVG versions go best when they are in 2D or 3D shapes or any letters, right ? But what do you mean by "basic gradient fill" ? HPD talk 06:57, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- That's not what I mean, no. As such, don't upload or convert images to SVG without first checking with someone whether SVG is suitable. The best way to decide is not upload any SVGs at all unless an image is tagged with the "could be better represented by SVG" tag. drewmunn talk 10:18, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- Oh! So that's the thing. Anyways thanks HPD talk 16:39, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- Just got an Echo notification. So dropped in. drewmunn, you are right. And Himanis, most logos, road signs (animated), static graphic designs, symbols go best in SVG. --Ankit MaityTalkContribs 17:32, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi. How do you do?
I wanted to drop you a note about File:Windows 8.1 Start screen.jpg. It seems I was not quite clear about the status of a Wikipedia logo. You see, Windows 8.1 is non-free. Wikipedia logo is non-free too. So, a picture that shows both contains two non-free items.
Now, are both of these absolutely required for the user to understand the article? Well, no, user would still understand quite well without the Wikipedia logo. Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria policy article #3 says: "Multiple items of non-free content are not used if one item can convey equivalent significant information."
So, I am afraid we cannot have the image of the Start screen with the logo. We must have it without it.
Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 15:42, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- @Codename Lisa: Hi! OK! Your wish, :) between why you are so afraid ? In my opinion, the logo is far from the position to provide any required information to the viewers, it's just acts as a simple icon to replace the user account's image, isn't it ?
- But, you must be knowing that, the Windows 8's image you uploaded year ago, has the same Wikipedia logo assigned by me and it was kept undisturbed till now i.e, File:Windows 8 Start Screen.png.
- Another thing I wanted to say that, as in Windows 8, Windows 7's screenshot also has a clear and visible Wikipedia logo, it was also kept undisturbed (but it wasn't assigned by me) i.e, File:Windows 7.png.
- Finally, I mean to say that I just wanted to assign a simple Wikipedia logo in the image to look more beautiful.
- What do you like to say ? HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 17:04, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi. Back then, I didn't know it was unfree. I have only been here for a year and a half. Recently, I saw this: File:Wiki.png. Then I discovered.
- I never put the logo on Windows 8.0's image. You did. Your upload summary reads: "Just decorated the image by {{User|Codename Lisa}} with a wikipedia user image and increased the resolution." If I knew this image is not free back then, I'd have replaced it.
- I'll upload another screenshot of Windows 7 to fix its problem. Windows 8.0 image will soon be deleted, so no worries there. As for Windows 8.1, would you please take care of it? Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 17:32, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi. Where did you get this new user account icon that you put on Windows 8.1 image? You didn't get it from Windows 7, did you? Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 11:48, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
- Heyyy! Sorry for late, Yep! I'll take care of the Win 8.1 image; so I've googled an image of the default user account icon of Windows 7, then I cropped it and at last assigned it in the image. Have I done something wrong ? HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 12:01, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I did. If I show something that belongs to Windows 7 in Windows 7 screenshot, then I am still showing one item. But when you show something that belongs to Windows 7 in Windows 8.1, you are showing two copyright-protected items (which is against WP:NFCC) and committing license violation in process. For Windows 8.1, it must be the default Windows 8.1 icon. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 12:08, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
- Oops! Sorry for that! If I'll assign the default Windows 8's logo replacing the flower icon, will it be OK ? Or anything else ? HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 12:17, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

- That would solve the copyright problem entirely, which is good. But Windows logo is protected by trademark laws too, which means the {{Microsoft screenshot}} license is no longer suitable for this image. Even if we change the license tag, people outside Wikipedia can't easy reproduce this image without carving the logo out.
- I prefer the original Windows 8.1 image without anything added to it, but if you insist on adding something to it, why don't you try Wikipetan? Try this: File:Wikipe-tan without body.png.
- Best regards,

I may be overstepping my boundaries here, but the signature policy forbids images of any kind within signatures, and I noticed on the AFD for Windows 8.1 that you're using a smiley face. Hello HPD, thanks for your message in es.wikipedia. I'm not sure if that logo is free in es.wikipedia or not (copyright rules in en.wikipedia and es.wikipedia are different because of the different national laws), so I didn't change it, but I've left a message in the talk of that page asking if anyone knows for sure the .svg image is free to change it. WikiProject Bangladesh Premier League Talk Page Notice
Dear HPD, A big hello from Wikiproject Bangladesh Premier League. We have a discussion going on at project's talkpage. Screenshot replacement
What exactly is the problem? We're not allowed to show common OS functions in the main screenshot? i.e. notifications? ViperSnake151 Talk 17:22, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
- There is no such exact problem, the one you uploaded is derived from one website and the second reason is it's not just taken after a clean-installation, but the one which I uploaded is just taken shortly after an installation in a Nexus 4 of my friend.
So, that's the ultimate reason behind that and why I'll upload it separately ? Because it's your file ? No! You must not think like that, its not good. As far as the summary of the image, I'll modify it with true information and it'll be Ok.
Another thing, have you seen our friend Lisa uploading images of Windows OS which show notifications or indications of any third party software or apps except those which are pre-installed by Microsoft ? Well not! You may see those, File:Windows 8 Start Screen.png, File:Windows 8.1 Start screen.jpg and File:Windows 7.png.
Finally, the screenshot of any OS must be posted which are taken just after a clean installation. That's the only thing. HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 14:56, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- So basically, if it contains anything beyond a "clean" desktop, its automatically considered tainted and can't be used here? The article itself specifies no specific version to be depicted. ViperSnake151 Talk 15:38, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- It can be used here, but will be considered in-acceptable. But don't be tensed, leave those, carry on. Lets see what happens next. HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 15:43, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- Also as much as I dislike you being the screenshot police, that Nexus 5 image would have to be uploaded as non-free because of the licensing uncertainties surrounding the wallpaper (but I don't think its discussed enough in the article to meet NFCC 8; it does not discuss the design of it itself, only mentions that it replaces the default and that it has a Google Now page), and because you can't change the wallpaper per your logic because it would no longer show a stock desktop. (but thenagain, most promo images for the Nexus 5 actually show that purple mountains wallpaper instead) ViperSnake151 Talk 15:47, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- p.s. Your image technically isn't stock. The Wi-Fi shouldn't be on, volume should be turned up (not set to vibrate), and why isn't it full 720p resolution? It's inferior quality. ViperSnake151 Talk 04:35, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- First thing first, that's taken shortly after installation, not just after installation. Secondly, my friend used to access internet through Wi-Fi, so obviously the Wi-fi has to be turned on, you may see the screenshot you uploaded, the Wi-Fi is turned on and the signal is full. As far as volume, I don't know why he had kept his phone in vibrate mode, may be he has kept it for attending meetings. One point to be noted, the notifications in the right-hand corner is must and no one can just remove it.
Finally, As of the resolution, I've reduced it to meet the non-free criteria, I may be wrong but I've also seen much of the Android images have maximum resolution 300px. You may edit it and do whatever you like but it must be acceptable. HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 16:33, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- NFCC doesn't apply to screenshots of free software. ViperSnake151 Talk 16:34, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- Fine! I'm wrong. But I've seen many android images having the maximum resolution of 300px. HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 16:37, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- NFCC doesn't apply to screenshots of free software. ViperSnake151 Talk 16:34, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

Nett . Gross of Tamil and Telugu versions of Dhoom 3
BoxofficeIndia.com has clearly stated that Dhoom 3 nett. grossed Rs 7.25 crore from its Telugu version and Rs 2.75 crore from its Tamil version in its 1st week, thats means a total of Rs 10 crore in its 1st weeek. The sources are:

http://www.boxofficeindia.com/boxnewsdetail.php?page=shownews&articleid=6348&nCat=
BoxofficeIndia will soon give nett. gross of Dhoom 3 's tamil and telugu versions in week 2 also.
Over that,Dhoom nett. grossed Rs 235 crore from Hindi version in 13 days. Source:
http://www.boxofficeindia.com/boxnewsdetail.php?page=shownews&articleid=6356&nCat=
All these sources are in that references for Dhoom 3
Its not fault of a Bollywood films that it is also releasing in tamil and telugu also. The real *nett gross* includes all versions nett gross. Importantly, the page is for *BOLLYWOOD FILMS* of 2013. its means the nett gross of a bollywoood film in totaily, that means all nett gross of tamil ,telugu and hindi versions.--Nehapant19 (talk) 17:23, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hi! The sources seems to be revealing the correct information but you have not tagged those references in the that block of the article where we add references to the values assigned, that's the first and foremost reason behind it, So, I've reverted your edits, another reason is that, article(s) like List of Bollywood films of 2013 don't used to display the nett. gross of Tamil and Telugu versions from a very long time, so that's why I thought not to have them included, you may also check the article that in Highest-grossing films section, it was mentioned that Bollywood nett gross given here also include nett. gross of Tamil and Telugu-dubbed versions of Bollywood films, as the table is for Bollywood films.
But article like Bollywood Hundred Crore Club and some sections of article List of highest-grossing Bollywood films displays the entire nett. gross of the film in every version in which a film is released. HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 08:56, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- If I am allowed to weigh in here, the word you're looking for is consensus, nobody gives a damn what you think if you're not a cabal, we don't tag references, we in Wikipedia cite sources, articles don't have blocks, they have sections and a lead. While adding nett. domestic collections all the versions are included. Stop reverting each other and discuss for a while. Soham 09:23, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah Ok! I'm quite poor in English, so I replied like that, actually in my message I mean tag=cite, block=lead, so now I hope Nehapant19 could understand what I mean. And thanks for helping 👍. HPD (Talk, Facebook me, Tweet me) 10:31, 4 January 2014 (UTC)

- Hi.
- This is the image that I told you about in my talk page. (If you have read it my message, of course.) I thought it was deleted a long time ago, per Wikipedia:Non-free content review/Archive 44#Taskbar. It was deleted on Commons anyway.
- Best regards,

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Subway Surfers app logo.png
Thank you for uploading File:Subway Surfers app logo.png.
Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 12:59, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
- @Stefan2: Hi! Actually the fact is that, I've written "infobox" instead of "Infobox" while uploading that file. I've corrected it. And the image is necessary because it's the logo of Subway Surfers which must be assigned in the infobox for more informative. HPD talk 13:05, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
