Hey, thanks for the new image on Template:User_cook; it looks good. I changed the colors on the template to make it a little snazzier. -- Chris 08:03, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:MaryOyaya.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:MaryOyaya.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 13:33, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

Windows Vista Beta Testing program
[edit]Hi Alex, I've been admiring your screenshots you've uploaded regarding Windows Vista. I'm interested in joining the beta testing program, but can't find where to apply for it. I am registered on Microsoft Connect, but the Vista Beta program isn't listed. When I did finally find a link to the program, they wanted an invitation code. Do you know if the invitation codes work like invitations to Gmail, for example? If so, do you have an invitation, or do you know where I might get one? Thank you! Rembrandt 20:42, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hey. Actually, the beta program invites don't work like the Gmail invites. You can try working your way up by participating in some of the programs you can register for, or you can register at TechNet, but I would recommend doing both. This beta is going to last a while, since it includes Server "Longhorn", so you might still have a chance to enroll. If you are not ready to be committed to testing such a product, you can wait until the public beta release in May. It all depends on what you are up to, since the technical beta program is probably not going to accept any more participants until then. — Alex (T|C|E) 02:18, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Your sidebox thing
[edit]I'm a total Wikipedia noob and was browsing random profiles, and yours has that cool box down the side and all. I was wondering basically whether there's a list of codes somewhere (ie, 'user apple' etc) for everything that's in yours. I'd like to make one so my profile will look more interesting but can't, exactly, without the info needed to do it with. :D;; User.lain 05:53, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
