Mateo Santos

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Mateo Santos article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. NickelShoe (Talk) 20:37, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Sophie Rose Cohen

[edit]

An editor has nominated Sophie Rose Cohen, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sophie Rose Cohen and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. It appears the bulk of the article Beth Raines was copied from here. I've removed it and left the opening paragraph. Various Days of our Lives character pages

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Lucas Roberts, was neither helpful nor constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A number of other edits have also been corrected. Specifically, name changes to Chelsea Benson and Zack Brady. While it can be potentially debatable as to whether or not Zack's full name (Beauregard Isaac Theo Brady) should be listed, if it is, it needs to be correct -- not Beauregard Issac Brady or Beauregard Isacc Brady. Deletion of The Martin Family

[edit]

The article The Martin Family has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Ginkgo100talk 19:16, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Zach Spaulding, by Aarktica, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Zach Spaulding is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Zach Spaulding, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Zach Spaulding itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 12:29, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Marital is spelled Marital not Martial

[edit]

When speaking of someone's Marital status it is spelled marital not martial like martial arts.

[edit]

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Zach Spaulding. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.soapcentral.com/gl/whoswho/zach.php in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Zach Spaulding with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Zach Spaulding with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Zach Spaulding saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. JavaTenor 16:47, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Zack Brady

[edit]

Please stop changing the character's name to Beauregard Issac Brady on relative pages. That's not his name. The character's full name was Beauregard Isaac Theo Brady, with the nickname of Zack. It's debatable whether or not his full name needs to be included, but if it is, it does need to be correct. D'Amico 16:00, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Format on your recents edits

[edit]

Again, I remind you that the term is Marital status, not martial. Also, your capitalization of every word in a section heading is incorrect per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (capital letters)#Section headings.

Also, I did not revert you recent edits to Todd Manning, but it seems like you're just making things more complicated than they need to be. TAnthony 20:13, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ian Slater, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

non-notable!!! not yet born!!!

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. UnknownMan 17:46, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization

[edit]
  • Redtoe, the part of headings after the first word should not be capitalized on Wikipedia, unless it is an official name of something in which is capitalized...like New York. Flyer22 00:45, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (capital letters)#Section headings, you should only capitalize the first letter of the first word and any proper nouns in headings, but leave the rest lower case. (Marital status, not Marital Status)
Also, there is no need to capitalize every word in character relationships on soap pages (Paternal Uncle) and I don't know who started listing character names in boldface, but that is also an improper use of text formatting. TAnthony 01:44, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redtoe, stop capitalizing words in soap opera articles on Wikipedia in which obviously either should not be or don't need to be capitalized. By doing that, you are basically undoing all of the hard work that members of Wikipedia: WikiProject Soap Operas are doing in order to improve these soap opera articles. I'm not sure why you're not listening to us on this matter, but if it's because you feel that we are telling you what to do and you don't want to listen, do listen. It's not anyone trying to be an authority over you; it us trying to improve these soap opera articles. Flyer22 05:45, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use styles that are unusual or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. Thank you.

Final warning

[edit]

Redtoes, I have assumed good faith on your part until now, despite the fact that myself and other users have repeatedly warned you about your disruptive formatting changes. Despite these warning, you are currently implementing these incorrect formats onto a multiple character articles. You are valuable as an editor, but by ignoring the Manual of Syle and our warnings you are asking to be blocked. I don't want to have to do that. TAnthony 21:07, 18 July 2007 (UTC) Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive or hard to read formatting, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.[reply]

You've stopped two habits, try to stop the other habit

[edit]
  • Redtoe, from looking over two of the articles you created Tyler Kiriakis and Wes (All My Children) (one in which was created today; the other created three days from today), it's apparent that you've stopped capitalizing the instances in parentheses next to fictional character relationships in a fictional character's Family and relationships section. You've even stopped bolding the Family and relationships section of fictional character articles.

However, also try to stop capitalizing the headings all the way through as well. It still remains here at Wikipedia that if a heading is titled Family & Relationships, it should not be titled that way, but should rather be titled Family and relationships. You know this by now. Try to adhere to it. Flyer22 07:52, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you quit

[edit]

stop Knock off the meticulous and repetitious editing/vandalism of the One Life to Live characters. Not needed. Not helpful. Not wanted. Cut it out… —The Real One Returns 18:44, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a fling or a romance

[edit]
  • Redtoe, a traumatizing rape (any definite rape) is not romantic, of course. This is why Richard Fields does not belong in Erica Kane's Flings and romantic relationships section directly, and is instead placed in the Other section within that section. Clearly, that was done for a reason, a very good reason. Refrain from adding Richard Fields back to Erica Kane's Flings and romantic relationships section.

And, again, STOP capitalizing instances on Wikipedia that should NOT be capitalized here at Wikipedia. You have been told constantly now to stop this. And I am more than certain that you have read these messages. It seemed as though you were done with doing those kinds of capitalization edits, but from what I saw of one of your recent edits here at Wikipedia, you're back at that. I must state again...stop that. Flyer22 12:06, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Marital status, not Martial status

[edit]
  • Redtoe, I get the feeling that you know by now to spell Marital status as Marital status and not as Martial status, so stop misspelling the word Marital all the time throughout soap opera articles. You have been asked to stop that. Marital is spelled Marital, which, of course, means, that the i is in between the r and the t, not in between the t and the a. I'm not trying to sound condescending, only perplexed as to why you seem to not understand this by now. Stop misspelling that word. Flyer22 15:02, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thank you for listening, Redtoe, on spelling that right, as well as applying the right formatting that you did not apply before during your earlier months on Wikipedia. I really appreciate you making a lot of changes in your formatting style. See you around. Flyer22 08:03, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • Remember that it's Family and relationships, not Family and relationship. It's Past marriages, not Past Marriages. Don't go back to the wrong way of formatting again. Flyer22 17:15, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Emma Spaulding

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Emma Spaulding, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Excessive detail

[edit]

I think I've changed your work numerous times, but have you ever looked at Template:Infobox soap character#Relationship parameters? Infoboxes are not meant to be mini-articles, just an overview of basic info. Adding descriptors like "son, via Joe" is just clutter. People interested in extended relationships can read the article or follow the linked name. Further, saying "son" or "granddaughter" is completely unnecessary when the headings say "Children" and "Grandchildren" ... and it is especially unnecessary to pipe links with extended names. Why does the Marlena Evans article need the link Samantha "Sami" Brady when Sami Brady will do? Soap infoboxes are are cluttered and long enough (some are longer than the articles they're in!) without all this excess stuff. When editing in the future, please try to consider the accessibility and readability of articles to a general audience rather than the trivial soap fan approach; this is an encyclopedia, not Soap Opera Digest. Thanks.— TAnthonyTalk 00:29, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
