Re: I am extremely discontent with YOUR conduct
[edit]Recently I made an entry about a person whom I knew named Shiva Rawat. You deleted that entry and told me this was not to be posted. I am extremely angry at the conduct you have used because not only do you not KNOW this person, but you proceeded to delete the entry without even doing any research whatsoever. Please try to refrain from acting in such an unprofessional manor.
Thank you,

- Hello, Mike.
- I'm sorry about the distress caused by the deletion of the article you created about Shiva Rawat. As an individual who was "one of the deadliest men on Earth", who "collaborated with Snoop Dogg on many Pimp missions" and who was infatuated "with sugar beets, the Washington Redskins, and Yasser Arafat", I can honestly say he sounded like a very impressive chap indeed. However, we at Wikipedia are committed to content that is verifiable, neutral and well sourced, and I'm afraid the content you created did not satisfy these standards.
- Happy editing, Popplewick (talk) 18:59, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Joe kinney requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Oddharmonic (talk)

[edit]Hi, the recent edit you made to Edgar Allan Poe has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:24, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
removal of reference at Chantilly High School
[edit]Hiya Red!
I just removed a reference that you put in on this article to support a controversy about the school's schedule. If you check the bottom of the webpage, the source for that information is wikipedia. Per WP:RS, references sourcing wikipedia cannot really be used to reference a wikipedia article. I did not delete anything else, but I did fact tag it to give you another chance to get a reliable source in there. Best of luck! LonelyBeacon (talk) 15:56, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- Red,
- I saw that you removed the fact tag that I put on this section. This section either is in violation of WP:NPOV, or comes very close to it. I was within my rights to delete it, but am assuming good faith. Even then, it must be referenced and cited (even then, I'm not 100% sure that some other editor won't come along and delete it for violating NPOV). Please don't take this as an attack on your editing or how you feel about this subject, but I think most in the community would agree that this requires sourcing. Teacher controversy
[edit]Hiya again Red!
I just deleted one of the sections you had about one of the teachers. The reference you had was a blog, and per WP:RS, blogs are generally not considered reliable sources. Per WP:BLP, it is extremely important that any controversial statements about living persons be supported by iron clad sourcing. One of the commentors on the blog denied the story was true. If you can find a newspaper article that supports it, it can probably be put back in. This is one of those things that all of us needs to be really careful about which is why I deleted instead of fact tagged. Hope your editing continues to go well!
