SW template formatting advice
Redd: you do know that when something is enclosed by double curly brackets like thus: {{}}, that it is unnecessary to prefix the desired template's name with "Template:" because the MediaWiki software assumes that you intend it to expand to something already in the "Template:" namespace? --maru (talk) contribs 23:24, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Bluedog32.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Bluedog32.png. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:03, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
XM Templet
You deleted the ((XM)) picture from my user templete. I realize you're a sirius fan, but I think we XM subscribers should be able to have that picture in our userboxes just as you have the Sirius dog in yours.
Also, as to the copyright issue, the very same XM logo is used on XM RadioXM 19:01, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- The XM image had to be removed because it doesn’t fall under public domain. Please read WP:FUC. Thanks. Redd Dragon 03:03, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Image:Xmcircle.jpg
I deleted Image:Xmcircle.jpg because it is a derivative work of Image:Xmlogo.png. Since it is a derivative, XM Satellite Radio maintains copyright. There is nothing different about the image you uploaded and a subset of Image:Xmlogo.png. I took both images and scaled them to the same size, and it was an exact subset match. This makes it clearly a derivative work. --Durin 18:12, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Nicolesullivanpromo2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Nicolesullivanpromo2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Vandalism of Kidd Chris page
You need to stop vandalising the reference to the OJ Simpson calls being sent to O&A. I get it. You're a Stern fan. But the fact remains that Chris did appear on O&A and sent the calls to them. The fact remains that they play the calls all the time.
I don't know if Howard also played the calls. If he did, add that to the section about the calls. Stop changing the article, this is the truth and you need to accept it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dwc151 (talk • contribs)
- Please explain where I vandalized the article. Someone changed the wikilink from Howard Stern to Opie & Anthony. Now, the way I remember it; Howard Stern played it a long time ago. So, I reverted the edit once. I do not listen to the Opie & Anthony show, but I do know that call was played on the Howard Stern Show and received attention from being on that show. If it was also played on Opie & Anthony you need to add a sentence rather then removing previous sentences. Since this is beyond you, I will do it. Redd Dragon talk 13:50, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dwc151 (talk • contribs)
- Please do not add nonsense to my talk page. It was not vandalism. It was a reverted edit that I believed to be vandalism. If I was wrong, fine. However, you do not need to add useless warning templates when this can be settled with a civil conversation. Greek, yet pro Israel?
you claim Greek ancestory, lol. Let me tell you something, that image of the dead child is not offensive, it is one of the softest i have seen and is even a ghetty image. I think you should have left that one, just my opinion. Reaper7 22:01, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, Ancestry doesn’t really mean much. I am an American. The rest doesn’t matter. What I don’t like is the article being littered with images of dead Lebanese civilians while ignoring the dead Israelis. The images (and one other that I left on the page) is already included in the main article from that section. Putting three images in one section that is already included in the main article is unnecessary and is a clear POV. Redd Dragon talk 22:05, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Sorry i just got confused when I saw the userbox saying the word Greek, then I read the others and realised you are as greek as an Eskimo lol, sorry for the post here, feel free to delete, regards reap, Reaper7 22:16, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- No prob. Redd Dragon talk 22:17, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
RE: Dave Courtney alteration/vandalism
RE: Dave Courtney alteration. Whilst I am a "Wikivirgin"; the changes I made were not meant to be vandalism, merely humorous fact - as there does not appear to be any evidence suggesting that he earned his living as a "mobster", and considerble evidence to suggest that his writings are predominantly fiction. Given that Wikipedia's content must be verifiable, categorising him as a "Gobster" and fiction writer, seemed to sit much more comfortably than what I can only imagine are sourced from 1 individual - namely the great man himself.
Yours faithfully, Mike
- Hey, I understand. Categories group articles together. You changed a category from one that exists to a non-existing one. Which I assumed to be vandalism, but I see now it was not. Changing categories to non-existing ones can appear to be vandalism. I suggest starting a topic on that pages discussion if you feel the information is wrong. Suicide methods page deletion
Hi. Given that you were reasonably critical of the suicide methods article on its talk page, I thought that you would like to know that it has been proposed for deletion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Suicide_methods_%283rd_nomination%29 Wik98 15:30, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Fair use images
I have noticed that you have a number of fair use images in your userspace. Please remove them as it's against Wikipedia's policy: fair use images can only be used in article namespace. You can remove them by linking like this: [[:image:example.jpg]]. Thanks, Renata 00:44, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Images without a fair use rationale
I came across one of the images you uploaded and noticed that it did not have a detailed fair use rationale. Upon examining the other images you uploaded, I noticed that many of them do not have a fair use rationale. I post this here to ask you to please add detailed fair use rationales. Note that you must have a separate rationale for each article the image is included in. I would tag the images today, but I do not have the time now or in the next couple of weeks. After finals, however, I will go through and tag them. Cheers, Iamunknown 20:00, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
