References

We've been over this a million times. If you add a reference to a page, add the full information to the References section. It is not enough to stick a surname, a year and a page number. The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 19:06, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

re: Battle of Lundy's Lane

Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors, which you did not do on Battle of Lundy's Lane. Thank you.Deconstructhis (talk) 13:45, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Siege of Boston still on hold... sorry <:)

Hey, good work on the article; it's a lot better. Unfortunately, there are still a few problems that need to be fixed, and so I'm keeping it on hold. You can see my recommendations at the bottom of the talk page. :) Intothewoods29 (talk) 21:59, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Hey, sorry to have to do this to you, but it's still on hold because of a problem with the lead. My notes are here. Once that's taken care of, I'll promote this to GA! :) Intothewoods29 (talk) 02:54, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
The Resilient Barnstar
I hereby award Red4tribe this barnstar for his work on Siege of Boston, including getting it up to GA status, and putting up with all of my poorly-informed military GA suggestions! Good job! Intothewoods29 (talk) 03:26, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Re:Please Stop

Listen buddy, you're not an admin, so don't tell me what to do. (Trip Johnson (talk) 21:47, 13 August 2008 (UTC))

...sorry I'm tied up in real life right now. I'll keep it in mind.. maybe a couple weeks from now.. later! Ling.Nut (WP:3IAR) 07:58, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Help

{{helpme|did I put down the right code for the bot to archive my pages?}} Red4tribe (talk) 19:49, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes, all conversations after 7 days will be archived, regards —— RyanLupin(talk) 19:56, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

{{helpme|I was told yesterday that I entered the code properly above, but I don't understand why it isn't being archived. Does anyone know?-Red4tribe (talk) 18:40, 19 August 2008 (UTC)}}

The bot will only archive conversations that haven't been edited for 7 days and they must include a signature. I've slightly tweaked the code you entered. Give the bot time, it doesn't happen instantly —— RyanLupin(talk) 18:52, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Alright, thanks.Red4tribe (talk) 18:53, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

{{helpme|Well, the bot came through and took out all the stuff older than 7 days, but it didn't archive it. Anyone know why?}}

I've added a link to the archive that User:MiszaBot used, there may be another archive box template that automatically adds new ones when they are created. The history for this page shows where it was archived to. Cheers Kevin (talk) 23:07, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi!

Hi! Just wanted to stop on by and see how you're doing! No real reason..... Okay I lie. I was wondering if you could help out on my peer review of Odwalla if you have a wikisecond to spare. A quick copyedit would be great. Thanks! The link to the peer review is here. :) Intothewoods29 (talk) 16:30, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Any prose improvements would be apppreciated. :) Intothewoods29 (talk) 16:52, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Map of the South Ossetian war of 2008

Hi and thanks for your compliments. I just drew on this CIA regional map of 1994>

and then added the troop movements, occupation zones, bombarded cities etc. according to the Wikipedia articles on the war of South Ossetia. I used a graphics program called Inkscape which can be downloaded freely from www.inkscape.org/download.

Battle of Trenton FAC removed

I've removed the FAC for Battle of Trenton, as I just archived it a few hours ago.[1] Reviewers expressed concerns, including sourcing, which might be worked out before returning to FAC by 1) a MilHist A-class review, or 2) consulting the tips at WP:FCDW/March 17, 2008 to locate peer review volunteers and invite them to a peer review. Please take a few weeks to work on these issues before re-nominating. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:11, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

The WikiProject Barnstar
For your help with improving future Milhist drives at the 2008 Tag & Assess workshop, please accept this WikiProject Barnstar. --ROGER DAVIES talk 07:41, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Incidentally, if you're keen to keep your assessing skills honed, we are currently very short of reviewers for Milhist A-Class reviews. Broadly, the five A-Class criteria are just beefed up versions of the B-Class criteria and anyone with B-Class experience should have no trouble with them. Also, as a reminder, in the wide-ranging A-Class review, it is not necessary to comment on all five criteria: if you're short of time, you can simply focus on the aspects that interest you most (sources, comprehensiveness, prose, graphic content or whatever). You can track which articles are up for A-Class using this template: {{WPMILHIST A-Class Review alerts}} All the best, --ROGER DAVIES talk 07:41, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi

Hi there, this may seem random but I noticed that you are a Roman Catholic and do not support the European Union. I too am a Catholic, of the Eastern rite, and look to the Pope (along with the rest of my brethren) as the spiritual head of the Church. I was wondering why you did not support the EU. You are also a socialist, and there is a tendency in the left wing to support internationalization, whilst nationalism is the name of the game for the right. I lean towards the center in politics.

I personally believe that the EU embodies what was once a grand Christian entity, akin to the alliance of the Holy League (1684). Gabr-el 22:29, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Trenton order of Battle

Hi, noticed the above doing NPP. Was wondering if it could be merged with the main article or is that going to grow significantly? Also, if not, is the category I put it in correct? thanx--Bsnowball (talk) 10:51, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
