Thanks so much for the welcome, and the resource tips, Longhair. Very helpful! I am slowly making my way through it all. There's so much to learn. For instance, is it appropriate for me to reply to your message here on this page, or should I be going to your talk page to say thanks? RebBurton (talk) 01:59, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You can reply wherever you like. It's good practice to alert others when you reply on your own talk page by pinging them to notify them of your reply. -- Longhair\talk 02:01, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I will check that out as well (I thought there would be something like that). More reading.  :-) RebBurton (talk) 02:07, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bearcat,
Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me in detail (over a year ago now!). It clarified a lot of things for me. Very kind of you to help me out. I only get two weeks a year to work on Wiki stuff, and I forget everything in between. I'm going to try again, and hopefully do better out of the gate this time around (thanks to your explanations).TheaGala TheaGala 22:41, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:40, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
