Kentucky State Highways

I am belated in my welcoming you to the Kentucky State Highways project. I had slowed down on the project while monitoring some other similar projects being pelted with AfDs, TfD and CfD nominations. I think they have started to die down. Your extensive editing on the Parkway system has been invaluable. ;-). I hope you liked the signage I created. I did them with MS-Paint, so they could have been better!! Thanks for the kind remarks. Oddly enough, the subject of Foster Brooks came up while I was poking around about his brother, "Cactus Tom" Brooks, and his work on WHAS-TV and the Crusade for Children. One thing led to another, as it often does with me and Wikipedia. :-)

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Western Hills Mall, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Western Hills Mall. Hey Realkyhick . There is a lively debate about use of promo photos on wikipedia. My name is Jeff and I Do not support the interpretation of WP:FU as implemented by user's like User:Chowbok. They believe that Wikipedia should be free of all promotional photos that are "replaceable with an equivalent" (i.e. an amateur photo from flickr). Their rationale is being debated in many places, and take it a step further believing that all promo photos should be deleted and let someone else deal with finding and uploading a free alternative.

And many other places I've no doubt missed.

I and many others who support use of fair use promotional photos have not been successful in changing the actions of Chowbok and rampant deletion and changing of many hundred's of useful images from Wikipedia articles continues. One good example is the Jennifer Granholm article which had a great promo photo replaced by a terrible photo. I seek to raise the profile of this issue through challenging promotional photos on high profile article's like this one. I'm sorry, really I am, but fair use policy as implemented by Chowbok has left me with few viable options.

Thanks for uploading Image:Bobbraun.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. A useful but not essential tip I'll give you is to put something on your userpage - just a sentence such as "I live in hick-town, Kentucky" and a couple of userboxes. I say this because somebody who should have known better once insulted me for opining on AfD on a redlinked username, and someone else advised me to start a user page. Since I can't respond to User:Woodshed directly because he or she apparently deleted his account (odd, isn't it?), I incorrectly transferred Ivey's name when I copied the Infobox template over from another newspaper article. My first article on an environmentally sensitive Holi got deleted

Could you tell me why? Wasnt spam or a hoax - the pollution caused by festivals in India poses a huge environmental problem that many groups are trying to address. The wikipedia page on the festival of Holi has no reference to this and so I wanted to add an article on this ...

Turn Off The Stars

TOTS's album hasn't charted in the US, and while it may have charted in Canada, I don't know how to access their chart data (it's not on Allmusic...). Under WP:ALBUM, albums by notable bands qualify if they've gotten reviewed in multiple nontrivial places; the main article now cites a couple reviews, and the article page itself has a link to Christianity Today's review, and that's a pretty big publication. It being a full-length LP, that seems enough to me...

Just an FYI... I removed your CSD tagging of Geoemyda yuwonoi as such a turtle does seem to exist. If you do a Google search for it, you'll find a few pages about it. I am in the process of writing the History of Lycoming County. It is going to be fairly lengthy and that is why I have moved it from Lycoming County to this new page. When you viewed the article it was still in the creation stage. I have now updated the page more to reflect TV & Theatre contriubtions for the moment - and plan to add more over the next few days when I receiving airing dates of shows.
