Speedy deletion of An environmentally sensitive Holi
[edit]A tag has been placed on An environmentally sensitive Holi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 06:24, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- The problems with the article were: 1) it appeared to be a cut-and-paste job from another source; 2) there were no citations of sources; 3) there was no way for those unfamiliar with the festival to figure out if this article was for real or simply a hoax or self-promotion. My first suggestion is to make this information an additional part of the main Holi article. Beyond that, make sure you give citations of sources for the information in your addition. See information about citations to learn how to do this, then give it another shot. Realkyhick 01:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think Realkyhick's comments pretty much summed up my concerns on the article. Without sources, it looks like original research. - Mailer Diablo 03:04, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Kvrikshlogo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Kvrikshlogo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Intellectual property
[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Intellectual property. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Thank you. --Edcolins 20:04, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Notability of Kalpavriksh Environment Action Group
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Kalpavriksh Environment Action Group, by Cquan (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Kalpavriksh Environment Action Group seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Kalpavriksh Environment Action Group, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:45, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Kvrikshlogo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Kvrikshlogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 01:43, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
