A tag has been placed on White Lotus Tea Club, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Barbara Brickner

[edit]

Hello ReachingtheStars,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Barbara Brickner for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kansiime (talk) 04:55, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Dave Benton (anchorman) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. you asked about this at the Teahouse. The article shows no indication of significance except for being head of the company, and is therefore covered adequately by being mentioned in the company article. To justify a separate article, you would need references providing substantial coverage about him specifically from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements. This in practice is not a easy requirement to meet for business executives. DGG ( talk ) 08:39, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Computer Engineer Barbie

[edit]

Hi: Thanks for uploading an image of the doll set to Commons. However, it cannot be copyright free since the doll set itself is commercially copyrighted. The fact that you took it from a Flickr image where the photographer waived copyright to the photo does not change that. It needs instead to be uploaded to en.wikipedia, with a fair use rationale for this one article. I hope you do this as soon as possible; the article will indeed be better with a picture.

Also, the article does not require an infobox; kindly do not add one. Yngvadottir (talk) 15:28, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, thanks for uploading the picture again here with an appropriate licence! However, I note that the person who initially left your note on my talk page was Brightideas191, and your accounts were started on the same day, and you have similar user pages. Is that another account owned by the same person, or do you both use the same computer, or what? If you are two people sharing the same computer, you should both declare it somewhere on either your user pages or your talk pages. See WP:ROOMMATE. I was thinking there was a template available, but it seems there's only a userbox. Yngvadottir (talk) 15:35, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Question about logos

[edit]

I want to know if I am allowed to make small changes to a logo before I put it up on its corresponding wiki article? If I can make the changes (I am talking about taking out some words from the bottom of the logo, but leaving the design and name of the company) do I still site the same source for the logo on the upload wizard, or do I need to say its now from me, since I made some changes? Thanks,ReachingtheStars (talk) 07:42, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You would need to acknowledge the source where you got the logo from before editing it, but you would also need to say that you've made changes to the image, so people who can see that it's different from the source image will understand why that is. Nick (talk) 12:05, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Esther V. Yanai

[edit]

The article Esther V. Yanai has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

inadequate references for notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
