If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Thomas DeMark, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. VQuakr (talk) 03:47, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Thomas DeMark requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

The article is written is a way that sounds promotional rather than encyclopedic. It needs to be trimmed down and reliable secondary sources need to be added. Do you have any? (e.g. news articles, etc) ~dee(talk?) 18:23, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Thomas DeMark has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. FYI conflict of interest guideline

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia in Thomas DeMark or other articles, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. – Athaenara 21:40, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas DeMark

[edit]

Greetings! Thank your for your efforts on Thomas DeMark and your descriptive edit summaries, particularly here. If you are interested in continuing to improve this article, a great next step would be to turn the list of links at the bottom of the page into in-line citations, which will be a big step towards improving the readability of the article. At the same time, we can consider reducing the number of primary sources; the more useful links are to sources about the subject of the article, not by him. Again, welcome! Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions. VQuakr (talk) 06:08, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

03:07, 26 December 2010 (UTC) Hi, I need help. I am not sure what else needs to be done to make this Wiki post clear the tags.

On Nov 4th, I met the requests: "ZGreetings! Thank your for your efforts on Thomas DeMark and your descriptive edit summaries, particularly here. I thought that everything was good after that as the article appeared without any tags, but today I discovered that the tags have persisted. please let me know what else I need to do to clear tags. Thanks. Roderick

Thomas DeMark

First, I strongly suggest that you avoid posting personal information in a public setting; Wikipedia contains an email system that prevents public disclosure of your email address. Second, I nominated the article for deletion because I did not see secondary sources about this person that would meet the notability requirements at WP:GNG and WP:BIO. If you still disagree that the article should not have been deleted, you could open a discussion at WP:DRV. Please let me know if you have additional questions!
