Speedy deletion nomination of Fitness Club Software
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Fitness Club Software, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:56, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Motionsoft
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Motionsoft requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Removing Speedy at Motionsoft
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.
I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.
If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.
The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.
We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 16:57, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Motionsoft. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 17:52, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Motionsoft, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 18:28, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Motionsoftoffice.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Motionsoftoffice.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 18:34, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Motionsoft has been deleted
[edit]I have deleted the article at Motionsoft, as it consisted only of information directly obtained from the subject and served no purpose other than to promote that subject. Under our Criteria for Speedy Deletion, this is grounds for deleting the article. I know you've put quite a bit of effort into it, so I apologize for the inconvenience. Here's what I would suggest. First, you need sources that talk about Motionsoft but aren't actually motionsoft. The two sources you had were from Motionsoft itself, so they don't count and are unsuitable. Are there news articles that discuss the company, perhaps? Remember that press releases don't count either. Second, you'll want to start a draft of the article. You can do this at User:Rbenamor/Draft - click that link and you'll find a copy of the article when it was deleted. This draft remains in your userspace, so it's not something that would immediately be up for deletion as an article. This should give you time to refine the article and get assistance with formatting and the like. Third, you need to make sure that the article is neutral and non-promotional. I'll start those edits, but you'll have to proceed according to the sources you can find. Use the {{helpme}} tag on this page and someone can come to assist you. Good luck, UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:39, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- Note that I also e-mailed you the text of the deleted article, for reference. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:39, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- OK, the history section needs to be prose. I've started it off, but you need just a paragraph telling how and where the company started, how it meandered through history to become Motionsoft, and what notable things the company has done since. News articles about expansions (I see the lead mentions operations outside of Maryland) would be key here - "In 2009 Motionsoft opened offices in Tucson, Arizona" with a reference to the local "IT Company opens office" coverage. Things like that.
- Second off, what is Motionsoft known for? There is no detail about the products themselves, so it just looks like there's a list of "Stuff we sell", which is promotional. Rather, we need a paragraph that says "Motionsoft offers multiple products focused on Fitness Clubs and Gyms. The most notable of these is X, a membership management suite." With a reference about the launch of the product, a review of it, or something. Then another paragraph, "Other products include X, Y, and Z." Next paragraph: "Motionsoft also offers webinars that deal with X Topics." and a link to the coverage about those webinars. Remember, we're looking for third party sources. If there is coverage about "FillYourGym", add it - otherwise, I don't know that it should be included. Again, just saying "We offer this" is promotional. We need to have sources that show why such a thing is relevant and notable. The fact that the website has a blog is trivial - unless it's a notable part of the business, leave it out. A tag has been placed on Motionsoft requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. - I have deleted Motionsoft (again), and protected that title from creation. As noted above, I moved the article to User:Rbenamor/Draft specifically so that you can work on fixing the problems that caused it to be deleted in the first place. You need to be working on that draft. I chose to do this because you seemed to be making a good faith effort to comply with our policies - so please don't make me look foolish by flaunting those policies and recreating the article without first fixing its problems. See my notes above please. Thanks. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 21:39, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- Good work so far. The only source I could find refers to the Edison funding - [1] - but it might be useful. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 21:36, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Motionsoft.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Motionsoft.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

- Hey, Rbenamor!
- I'm sorry to tell you, but I've moved your submission back to our submission space. It's currently located at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Motionsoft Gym Management Software.
- Your submission is very good, however; there is one major problem. It's not written with a neutral point of view. Phrases like "serve over 2000 clients in the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe" are very unnecessary, as we're looking for a more general understanding of the topic.
- Please feel free to contact me on my talk page with any questions you may have. Again, I'm sorry about the confusion. Good luck with your submission. ~ Matthewrbowker Talk to me 15:29, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. A tag has been placed on Fitness Club Management Software, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Acroterion (talk) 17:51, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
