License tagging for Image:THE CREST OF MALIYADEVA COL.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:THE CREST OF MALIYADEVA COL.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot 09:08, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is nominated for deletion, so you are welcome to voice your views on the deletion page Corpx (talk) 09:48, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Maliyadeva Scout Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. You have recreated an article that was deleted after a valid discussion at articles for deletion. If you wish to dispute this, you have to take it to deletion review. There is further discussion on this at User talk:Buildpd. I also suggest that you both raise this at the Scouting WikiProject. The artcile can now only be recreated by an administrator. Please try to understand the wikipedia guidelines and policies. --Bduke (Discussion) 12:56, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted this under the alternate form of the title you tried to use. Don;t try to evade things that way--Bduke gave you good advice. If you recreate this under another title again, you will be blocked, because this has to stop. DGG (talk) 00:24, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of List of Maliyadeva College Colour Hlders

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Maliyadeva College Colour Hlders, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

encyclopedic List of one school's local awards to its students

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you decide that the article cannot meet our standards, you might want to facilitate matter sby placing at the top a line reading db-autthor DGG (talk) 15:22, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Ranilplus/Maliyadeva scout group, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Ranilplus/Maliyadeva scout group and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Ranilplus/Maliyadeva scout group during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. jergen (talk) 06:59, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:MartelloSrilanka.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:MartelloSrilanka.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:05, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re-creating deleted page

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as you did at User:Ranilplus/Maliyadeva scout group, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. As you know, this page, under different titles, has been discussed both at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maliyadeva Scout Group and at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Ranilplus/Maliyadeva Scout Group, and both discussions resulted in decisions to delete the page. For you to attempt to unilaterally overturn consensus by simply ignoring it and re-creating the page is unacceptable, and using a slightly different title does not make it any better. Wikipedia is not a free web host for your scout group to use to hold a page about itself. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:31, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
