Important Notice
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}}
on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Northern Mariana Islands elections
[edit]Hello. Thanks for your efforts to improve these articles. Just a few tips
- Standard practice for two round elections is that only the second round contestants and results are included in infoboxes (see e.g. 2022 Brazilian general election or 2021 Peruvian general election)
- Parties that did not win seats aren't listed in infoboxes (there was a note explicitly stating this until recently)
- Dates should not start with a zero (e.g. it should be 7 December not 07 December – see MOS:DATE)
- There's no need to write out candidates' full names in the infobox - this often creates unnecessary line breaks as the full names are too long.
- Also no need to reference things like dates in the infobox if it's referenced in the body of the article, which is preferred (see WP:INFOBOXREF)
- If general elections have different layers of government elected at different intervals, the year navigation in the infobox should be in the individual sections (so it links to the next year for that type of election) rather than a generic link at the top (see e.g. 1992 Serbian general election where the next presidential and parliamentary elections take place in different years).
Cheers, Number 57 11:01, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Also, the Senate results you added to the 2007 Northern Mariana Islands general election appear to be wrong. The table says there was only one independent after the elections, but two independents were elected. Number 57 20:53, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for catching that. Went back and corrected it.
- Have a good day, Random123games (talk) 21:38, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
