Hi,
I received a message that my contributions were removed. I'm not sure why because I referenced it from a reliable source that doesn't sell anything. Also, I'm working on creating a page for "David After Dentist", which is a major viral video that doesn't have a Wikipedia page yet. I don't want to finish it and find out it can't be posted. Can you let me know if I did anything wrong?
RandJshow (talk) 23:29, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- You posted two links to "101 reasons to," which does not meet WP:WEB notability guidelines. For an article about a viral video to be accepted here, you'll need non-trivial coverage from third-paty reliable sources (e.g., major news sites) describing the video as viral. Number of Google hits and number of youtube views is not sufficient. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:41, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Iteya.com
[edit]A tag has been placed on Iteya.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Peer review of Russel Hantz
[edit]Peer review is not the place for entire draft articles, it is for articles in article space that are of decent quality to start with. I have moved the draft to User:RandJshow/Hantz for now and closed the PR Wikipedia:Peer review/Russell hantz/archive1. I can tell you that the draft contains no (zero) references and needs them to prove notability. The article also reads like a fan club page now - it goes into way too much detail. Please see WP:NOT (Wikipedia is not a digest of the plot of a tv show) and WP:Your first article. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 17:59, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
