RajanSinghSidhu, you are invited to the Teahouse
[edit]Hi RajanSinghSidhu! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Languages in films
[edit]You are both correct and wrong. Some Hindi films should not also be billed here as part-English films, just because they may have a few English dialogues, such as Taare Zameen Par and Ra.One. But there are many Indian films that have a large portion of English, like Delhi Belly, The Namesake, Being Cyrus, Dhobi Ghat, The Last Lear and so on, which deserve to come under the category "English-language Indian films". Kailash29792 (talk) 14:47, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- I would agree with this. The English-language Indian film category has a fairly broad definition. Ravensfire (talk) 15:18, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
Editing user talk pages
[edit]Please take a few moments to read through the User Talk page guidelines. Please note that on your talk page you may remove posts as you wish but on someone else's talk page you should not remove posts as you did here. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 15:16, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
April 2014
[edit]Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 17:04, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
Apology
[edit]My apology. I often seem multiple languages listed. Template:Infobox film as good info on the "language" field description. Please try to add an edit summary as it is difficult to understand why you removed that info. I undid my edit to Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi There may be more reverts that I did. Cheers Jim1138 (talk)
Talk with them
[edit]I would suggest finding the appropriate policy regarding film languages, then have a discussion with those people. You can use wp:dispute resolution, but first understand the policy. Is it really a bilingual film, or is it a Hindi film with a bit of English? Take a look in Wikipedia:WikiProject Film. Talking can work wonders! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 18:07, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- Have you looked here? http://www.bbfc.co.uk/ Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 04:21, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
- The problem with IMDB is that anyone can get an account and edit the information. Thus, it is self published. See WP:SELFPUBLISH. I have run out of resources here. Sorry. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:11, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
Ra.One
[edit]Please use the Ra.One talk page to discuss the infobox language parameter. There is already an existing discussion here with several points that may be relevant. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 18:00, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
April 2014
[edit]This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2014 April 5, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Do NOT remove comments from editors in a TFD like this and this again. You do NOT remove or change comments from other editors on a page like this. Period. Ravensfire (talk) 22:09, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
- If you want to add a comment to the discussion, please make sure it focuses on policy-based reasons for keeping the template. Ravensfire (talk) 22:10, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
- I doubt you did, but take some time to read the comment I left on the TFD page. And then take a few moments to read the discussion I linked to why awards don't belong in the Infobox. Seriously - you need to understand that you have to work WITH other people and if other people decide to use one approach (a consensus), you should work within that approach, not ignoring it and doing your own thing. Time and again on this account and your TJK account I've tried to point you that way. Good grief - I've even pointed you towards where you can try to get that consensus changed. Ravensfire (talk) 22:18, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Template:Infobox Indian TV actor. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 22:13, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
- Once again, don't do this or this again. It's painfully obvious you're doing this logged out. Stop. Ravensfire (talk) 15:42, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
