Speedy deletion nomination of Rosewood Beijing Hotel

[edit]

Hello Rachel23456789,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rosewood Beijing Hotel for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. --MrScorch6200 (t c) 02:58, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Rachel23456789,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Rosewood beijing hotel, may be copied from http://www.gracechinatours.com/news/china-hotel/rosewood-hotels-moves-into-beijing.html. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 04:31, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rosewood beijing hotel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 05:08, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well it won't be deleted...

[edit]

But I have moved it to Jing Guang Centre since the building passes WP:GNG but the hotel doesn't. I have also deleted the two photos as a WP:COPYVIO, but you are welcome to use a mobile phone to take your own picture and upload that. Best of luck. Hello Rachel23456789,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rosewood Beijing for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, [[{{{article}}}]].

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Wgolf (talk) 01:42, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Rachel23456789. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Rosewood Beijing Hotel".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Rosewood Beijing Hotel}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:39, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
