Hi Snowager! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Pokémon "outdated"
Do not use these templates or categories unless you can say on the talk pages why they are necessary. Everything on Pokémon (anime) is up to date, as is List of Pokémon: Black & White: Adventures in Unova and Beyond episodes (if an episode has not been broadcast in an English speaking nation it should not use the dub names for characters).—Ryulong (琉竜) 02:13, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
December 2013
In recent edits to multiple pages you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Thomas.W talk to me 08:20, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
Usage of Proposed deletion
Please do not propose for deletion an article that is currently nominated for deletion or that previously has been nominated for deletion. PROD templates may only be used on articles that have never been nominated for deletion. Please review WP:PROD. I have removed the PROD you placed on Classmint, which likely will be deleted tonight anyhow, as the Articles for Deletion process on that article is nearing conclusion. Thanks. Safiel (talk) 06:40, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: User:Muraddiya01/sandbox
Hello Snowager. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Muraddiya01/sandbox, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: I'd see this as a test page - mo problem in a sandbox. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 08:48, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi Snowager, I'm just requesting you don't delete the page 'Xenophon and the Beasts', its a genuine page for a genuine band. I can provide proof. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Corey nelson6969 (talk • contribs) 13:36, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
A11, G3 and prod
Hi. I've declined your speedy at ALGO 4K as this isn't what A11 is for. A11 is for the things like drinking games, new words or new school yard games that probably (WP:AGF) have been created by some students but no-one else knows or cares. They're not hoaxes. At best, they're mistaking Wikipedia's purpose; at worst, they're seeking a moment's glory. G3 hoax, on the other hand, involves an assumption of bad faith - an attempt to spread misinformation. An article about the spritzel fish, which lives in an Austrian lake and builds underwater cages to rear minnows in and emerges from the water to fry them, is an obvious and blatant hoax and a definite for G3. Some are much more subtle - like one that survived for years, about a German band called Tillery who were killed in a plane crash in 1956. I declined the discoverer's speedy and sent it to AfD, where it was established that every part of the article was false. I objected to the band's name (very unlikely for a German band in 1956), others couldn't find the crash or the concert hall. Not a G3 blatant hoax. (They didn't have as many patrollers with the wide range of interests that the current lot have, back then.) I've sent this one to prod, bearing in mind the author's statement on the talk page. I'm assuming good faith, because it could well be a new product, not yet released. If it's just a teenager with ambitions, it'll be deleted just the same. But it's not A11. I'm still not sure how we got A11 through the discussions - getting new criteria at CSD is like fighting an eel in a quicksand... Peridon (talk) 21:56, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
- BTW Tillery can be viewed by finding the list of longest standing hoaxes or the collection of such hoaxes. The spritzel fish exists only here... Peridon (talk) 21:59, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
Very well, but it already had been PRODed for the following concern: Anti-piracy algorithm with no indication that it's even in use yet, let alone notable enough for an article here.Statement on talk page makes it plain that this is an attempt to get it 'recognised'. It's unsourced as well.Snowager (talk) 23:44, 30 January 2015 (UTC) Needless to say, I hunt down suspected hoax articles and vandalism and remove it (Or mark for AFD, PROD, or CSD if i confirm it's a hoax). Snowager (talk) 23:48, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, I said I prodded it. You can add a prod2 about unreferenced, if you like. That comes in at prod and AfD, but not at all at CSD. At prod, I like to make a clear statement, rather than the bare "Not notable." that can quite often be seen. Peridon (talk) 10:28, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 8
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Crips, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rolls-Royce Phantom. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

striking AFD votes
Hi, i pinged you from the AFD on a Ugandan law firm. It's okay for you to change your mind in an AFD, but could you please use strike-out or otherwise remove previous votes. On that page when I keep looking at it, now I think i see you voting "Speedy Delete", then "Speedy Keep", then maybe "Delete"? Anyhow, please indicate you changed your mind on no-longer-valid votes, e.g. something like:
Speedy Delete[struck my vote, see my comment below] - per WP:CORP and WP: CSD G4. Snowager (talk) 05:49, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
Hope you don't mind me suggesting this. Wikipedia's AFD process should have a real interface with more structure; it should not require our manually editing like this, but it does. Note you can see your AFD votes within wp:AFDSTATS report, which keys off of bolded votes. Not sure how it would score you with mulitple conflicting votes, maybe it would take a guess? But help the human closer, anyhow. :) --doncram 04:47, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

I have granted rollback rights to your account. I have moved your report from WP:ANI to WP:BON. We don't discuss about bots on WP:ANI, they are discussed on WP:BON and this "Bot owners' noticeboard" is actively handled by the admins and the editors who are specialized in botting, approving and deflagging the bots. They don't really participate in the discussions of ANI. You may want to look at the varieties of discussions that have been made on WP:BON. Thanks. Thanks for tagging the article correctly, I was just in the process of replacing the inappropriate template myself. Obviously the initial attempt by a relatively new user came cross as vandalism in itself! All the best, Orphan Wiki 00:34, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

In Italy the provinces of Rome, Naples , Bologna , Milan, Turin , Florence , Bari were abolished on 1 January 2015 and replaced by the metropolitan cities.--Havesan8 (talk) 01:55, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- Were they reliably sourced? It doesn't sound like as it's sourced since 3 out of the 4 sourced lead to 404 errors and the latter source I don't think I may find reliable. Googe doesn't even say about the abolishment of these provinces at this minute. Snowager-Talk 02:06, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- It doesn't meet A10 criteria. I am also having a very hard time finding english sourcing, but there are italian sources, although a bit obscure. I'm also hitting 404 errors, but it does seem to be the case. @Snowolf:, I know you speak italian, and I"m sorry to ping you for something like this, but has this distinction been made? NativeForeigner Talk 03:05, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- See this article about the original passing of the law on the Corriere della Sera, Italy's sort of newspaper of record and this series of mini-guides on the Il Sole 24 Ore, Italy's main financial newspaper or this article from Il Giornale, another major newspaper. See this for the law as published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale. While I haven't really kept up with this matter, there's plenty of more recent sources which refer to metropolitan cities having come into effect, such as this article on La Repubblica on a press conference from Turin's mayor that names the press conference as the first by Fassino as Turin's Metropolitan mayor or this page on the Government's Statistics Institute that says it came into effect in January and offers the new codes for the statistics for those areas. You can also look at the article on this matter on the Italian Wikipedia which sums up the situation pretty accurately as best as I can tell. Snowolf How can I help? 04:02, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- I guess I should also ping NativeForeigner and Havesan8. Snowolf How can I help? 04:02, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- Very much appreciated. I may look into it some more, just wanted to sort out this localized issue. (I have italian heritage and heard it spoken a fair bit, but my ability to speak it is nonexistent, and read it academically is super limited) NativeForeigner Talk 04:16, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Dear Snowager,
I was using this company as a reason to add my first page on to Wikipedia, they're based near me and have been getting exposure in the press so felt they were worthy of a page. I'd read the guidelines, and I also used similar companies' Wikipedia page as a template.
I'd value your personal feedback on how you viewed this page - specifics are always useful to me so I know how to adjust adding pages in the future,
Lawrence

Image Studio Lite Article for Creation
Snowager,
Without direct criticism regarding which parts of this article sounded like advertising, I decided to omit the two sentences regarding IS Lite features in the Overview and resubmit the article. If you sense any subjective descriptions or sales language in this article, please let me know specifics.
The claims in this article are supported by independent tutorials listed in the References section.
I have provided Further reading to establish notability for IS Lite. IS Lite now has over 10,000 downloads, although I can’t mention that in the article for obvious reasons.
Hopefully IS Lite users will be able to expand this article into a useful resource once it is accepted. Please provide criticism that will help me refine the article.

Speedy deletion nomination of Wildstreet
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Wildstreet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Jjamesryan (talk) 01:48, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

- "I do not think it's a good idea to have an article about a person based on one single reference from a website like 'graveyard.com'". The Snowager-is awake 06:36, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

- If an editor has an incorrect assumption we need to post why they have an incorrect assumption and not simply delete their post - see WP:TPO. --NeilN talk to me 07:06, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Sabotage by the Beastie Boys.ogg.en.srt
A tag has been placed on File:Sabotage by the Beastie Boys.ogg.en.srt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
- This was when I was attempting to create a TimedText file for that song, I accidentally created a corrupt file instead. The Snowager-is awake 15:28, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
