Speedy deletion nomination of Synoeca septentrionalis
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Synoeca septentrionalis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Did you know...?
[edit]Thank you for your recent contribution to Synoeca septentrionalis.
I wonder if you would like to consider submitting it as a candidate for the "Did you know...?" feature. DYKs (as they are commonly called) are short snippets taken from Wikipedia's newest articles and, if approved, appear on the Main Page. You can learn more about this at Wikipedia:Did you know.
Your article Synoeca septentrionalis appears to meet the criteria for submission as a DYK, but would be greatly improved if you expanded the lead section to briefly summarize the main points of the article. If you choose to submit a short (and interesting) fact from your article, please read the rules and the supplementary guidelines carefully. Please ask me if you have further questions.
According to the DYK tool, your article was created or expanded on October 17. DYKs must be nominated within 7 days of the creation or 5-fold expansion of the article, so if you choose to submit your article, please act quickly! Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 21:00, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- The reviewer of your DYK nomination has asked for possible changes to your hook at Template:Did_you_know_nominations/Synoeca_septentrionalis. Can you come up with an alternative hook? Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:37, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- It's been over three weeks, and there has been no move to provide new hooks for the DYK nomination. As the current hooks have issues, something must be done to provide new ones (or, if you prefer, to revise the article and sourcing so the existing hooks are adequately supported). We would like for this to succeed, but we cannot hold the nomination open forever. We will need to hear from you soon. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:42, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
