ISS Edits
[edit]I have a couple of concerns with the listing of the “ISS Deorbit Vehicle” on the upcoming missions table on the ISS page: it’s premature (won’t launch until 2030-ish), it’s covered extensively elsewhere on the page, it’s incorrectly named (it’s the US Deorbit Vehicle), it’s presumptuous to say this will be launched by Falcon Heavy (no launch contract has been signed), and we don’t know that it will be attached Harmony forward.
As to Dream Chaser — you restored that as a Q4 ‘24 launch — I’ve seen no recent media coverage that would support that. They lost their Vulcan Centaur slot, now it’s up in the air when ULA can slot them in… if they’re even ready to launch. RickyCourtney (talk) 04:56, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Renders show harmony forward @RickyCourtney —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 05:24, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- NSF forum shows Q4 2024 once they update we will update it or lets follow https://nextspaceflight.com/launches/details/403. As soon as they get insider or official info they change which isnt shown till now —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 05:27, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- I wouldn't call a rendering a reliable source. Nor would I call a forum a reliable source. Point is, we can wait to list these until details are firmed up. RickyCourtney (talk) 05:34, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- And next spaceflight??@RickyCourtney vro —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 05:38, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- They’re reliable, but my point remains that the information is not. Next Spaceflight says NET 2024. That’s in line with the company’s statements that they hope to fly “by the end of 2024." My point is, that’s still not a very firm launch date, or month. I believe we should wait to list it on that page until we get something a little more firm. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. - @RickyCourtney i need your help on the claim of https://nara.getarchive.net/collections/building-iss-timeline whose text is used on iss page I think it's false as per wayback machine it was made in 2020 https://web.archive.org/web/20200813015228/https://nara.getarchive.net/collections/building-iss-timeline —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 07:49, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- https://copyvios.toolforge.org/?lang=en&project=wikipedia&title=International_Space_Station&url=https://nara.getarchive.net/collections/building-iss-timeline this is the claim. I am saying this since i have a personal experience with such claim. —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 07:51, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- I was making a Cygnus ng-21 draft page and on asking approval i got https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:RIP_B1058/Archives/2024/January#Your_submission_at_Articles_for_creation%3A_Cygnus_NG-21_%28January_24%29 . I investigated and found that a wiki clone called handwriting has a en wiki clone page called https://handwiki.org/wiki/Engineering:Cygnus_NG-18 and i got a false copyright claim that was neglected once i protested. I am thinking the same for this iss page, the matter it talks of being copyright was written around early 2010s and thus i find this claim dubious and malicious. —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 07:57, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- What your thoughts on this @RickyCourtney vro? —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 07:57, 8 August 2024 (UTC)

- @DoubleGrazing, I knew its incomplete. But I am waiting for some stuff. Till them I am not investing time in these drafts and working on other astronaut biographies. See I just got 6 month delete notice at #Concern regarding Draft:Angad Pratap for draft deletion so I just sent it intentionally to be approved to get the page out of dormant state of 6 months when it will be deleted. —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 17:22, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- All you have to do is make an edit to a draft to restart the 6-month clock. Schazjmd (talk) 17:40, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- No worries, but as @Schazjmd says, as long as there's a (human, ie. non-bot) edit every <6 months, the draft will be kept pretty much indefinitely. Cheers, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:44, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
