USOC broadcasters
Hi. I was just about to edit this article when I realized that it probably would be better if it was deleted altogether and the info added to each season's respective final article. The article states little about broadcasters and begins with a repetition of tournament info that is already on several other pages. The last two sentences are what needed rework. The final has been broadcast as far as I am aware as far back as the early 90's. See Sports Channel America,Prime Network,ESPN and Ty Keough. It could be an article but it would need significant expansion and it isn't promising. It has been an impossible task as it is trying to get tapes of those games. My last lead just happened to be Kevin Payne of D.C. United whose company(Soccer USA Partners) owned the television rights to the tournament in the early 90s. Unfortunately that like all the other leads went bust. Libro0 (talk) 04:09, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- Good idea, I think that would improve the overall content on the USOC! Right now the list of broadcasters is rather repetitive and short on information. Quidster4040 (talk) 16:04, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
I am not trying to pick on you or anything but I wanted to bring up an issue about another List article you made. The winning head coaches can also be included in already existing articles. A good place might be to include it on the table in the Winners article in its own column. It is better to have one article full of info than a bunch of stubs or lists that get repetetive. However the good thing about the head coaches article as opposed to the broadcasters article is that it is very doable all the way back to 1914. I would have to dig up old notes to fill it in. The drawback is that some of the info I have uses different terminology such manager or other titles instead of (head)coach. Libro0 (talk) 01:43, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

DC United and "Major Honors"
Hey Quidster. I know you're a DC United guy and you've done great work in the US Soccer realm on Wikipedia, so I figured it'd be best to bring this up with you rather than unilaterally edit what I think to be right in without consulting you. At Template:D.C. United, you put in the Copa Interamericana under the 'major honors' tally. Thing is, the competition fits none of the five categories that I set up at List of American and Canadian soccer champions to try and provide North American soccer history with some continuity. And while I don't mean to diminish the importance of the moment for a DC United fan, the fact is that it was an irregularly-held competition that was neither the championship of CONCACAF nor CONMEBOL, but rather a supercup exhibition that was held entirely within the United States despite being a two-legged affair. My suggestion is the same compromise that I offered to one of the chief editors of Timbers' navbox (who still hasn't gotten back to me): the five "majors" be what's listed under Major Accomplishments at the bottom of the box, but a link to all honors that the franchise has accumulated be present at the top of the box. In this case, there would be two links because of the way the navbox is currently formatted and the extent of DC's trophy case warrants it. Hope to hear back from you soon, Fifty7 (talk) 19:33, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

m==Your contributed article, 2011 Connecticut Huskies men's soccer team==
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, 2011 Connecticut Huskies men's soccer team. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - 2011 Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2011 Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Smartyllama (talk) 15:01, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- I'm guessing you just meant to change the Charlotte info and didn't. If you want to, go ahead and change it and remove the CSD tag. Otherwise, I'll recreate it later when I have more time and can change the information. Smartyllama (talk) 15:02, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- Withdrawing this. I didn't realize you had only created it two minutes ago. I'll help out later. Smartyllama (talk) 15:05, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help! I should have just pasted the article initially in a sandbox page or subpage, which I'll do next time to avoid confusion. Quidster4040 (talk) 17:45, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Your "Side Projects"
Hey there Quidster, I just saw the categorization you were doing on my Club's page (Go Revs! At least we both hate the New Jersey FizzyDrinks!). Great work there! I do have a few questions about your subpages. It appears as though those pages are not in keeping with our user page policies, specifically WP:FAKEARTICLE and WP:NOTWEBHOST. Could you explain to me the benefit to the project by hosting these pages? (Specifically: CCL Facelift; CONCACAF SUPERLIGA and all its sub-sub-sub-pages, 2012 MLS Cup Playoffs Wahl style, and 2011 NIT Silver Cup). Barring any rationale for their merit, I feel I have to list them at WP:MFD. If you have any questions, feel free to respond here and just drop me a {{Talkback}} on my talk page. Cheers! Achowat (talk) 15:09, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- Haha, thanks! Most of those subpages are to test possible format layouts for the CONCACAF Champions League and the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament, to make the pages look more efficient and contain more information, because I feel the two pages and individual article pages have bare minimum information. Quidster4040 (talk) 17:46, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- Possible formats for the page, or possible new formats for the competitions? Achowat (talk) 19:43, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

You are free to edit the content of Quister4040 Subpages during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Speedy deletion nomination of Cal FC
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Cal FC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Koppapa (talk) 08:13, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

2012 USOC final
Hey, I noticed you added some prose to the KC sub-section in the "Road to the final" section. First, thank you. Second, if you wouldn't mind, adding some references would be greatly appreciated. My intention is to get this to a Featured Article quality at some point in the next 6-12 months. The 2011 USOC final article just passed GA review today. Once I get that in shape for a peer review, my next goal will be to fill in the remaining sections for the 2012 USOC final article and get it nominated for GA. Again, thanks for working on the article. --SkotyWATC 03:46, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

season redirections
Please do not redirect a season article for college basketball pages to their generic team page or athletics department page. There is absolutly no reason to do this. Either the page exists or it doesn't, but do redirect them to team or athletic pages is absolutly pointless! Please stop. Thank You!Bsuorangecrush (talk) 04:06, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- My apologies, thanks for the clarification! Quidster4040 (talk) 17:37, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for contributing the new article 2012 Conference USA Men's Soccer Tournament. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding more sources to the article you created, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Many thanks! PS If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. GiantSnowman 17:15, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, I completely forgot to supply a link to the main website for the tournament. I'll be sure to add citations to the article immediately. Quidster4040 (talk) 17:37, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- You've also created 2012 Horizon League Men's Soccer Tournament as comp;etely unreferenced. You NEED to add references and show notability; if you don't, it could be considered disruptive. GiantSnowman 17:03, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

latitude and longitude
Latitude and longitude are commonly measured in degrees, minutes, and seconds of arc. There are 60 seconds in a minute of arc. Therefore, a latitude or longitude cannot contain more than 60 seconds of arc. If you have questions about this, contact me via my talk page. —Stepheng3 (talk) 18:25, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 2012 Maryland Terrapins men's soccer team, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 2012 Maryland Terrapins men's soccer team. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 15:41, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
