Your sandbox
[edit]Could you explain what's going on here? — MusikAnimal talk 02:04, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
It's just vandalism. --QIDb602 (talk) 02:09, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- And what's going on here [1], since you're involved at that page, too? MusikAnimal, I requested protection for QID's sandbox, for starters. 2601:188:180:1481:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 02:33, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Okay, there's also User:AJ1399/sandbox, which you've edited, and it contains or has contained similar content to your sandbox. Could you explain why this is? — MusikAnimal talk 02:33, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
I only made 1 edit to AJ1399's sandbox. We are part of an online forum and I was just talking to him. He knows what I'm doing. QIDb602 (talk) 02:41, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- How do these sandbox edits contribute to the encyclopedia? Any idea what invited the other accounts to edit these sandboxes? — MusikAnimal talk 03:00, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
QIDB602 and I are part of an online weather forum, we use our sandboxes for creating new climateboxes to be implemented into wikipedia articles and for our own observation. His edit on my sandbox was helpful and completely welcome. The vandalism came from a certain user who was banned from the forum a while back for being racist and disruptive and is seemingly upset about it AJ1399 (talk) 07:23, 28 April 2019 (UTC)AJ1013

- @Kronans wife: Thanks for pointing that out. An explanation of what's going on here would be appreciated. You, Kronanbabe, Kronansweden, and Swedenkronan, all seem to be related. The three aforementioned were blocked as WP:NOTHERE, as I saw they were putting inappropriate content on other user's sandboxes. What is this "online forum" you speak of, QIDb602? And how does it tie into improving the encyclopedia? What I've seen is a series of accounts with similar usernames, all only making similar disruptive edits to sandboxes, including some graphic and inappropriate material. QIDb602 and AJ1399 seem intertwined as well. — MusikAnimal talk 06:27, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
Kronansweden, Swedenkronan, Kronanbabe, Kronanforever, and Kronans wife are probably the same person. The forum discusses weather and it is only privately accessed on Proboards We are using the sandbox feature on Wikipedia to create and store weather boxes. I think this should be acceptable as sandboxes tend to have loose and basic regulations: Wikipedia:About the Sandbox. I still make edits to articles as I see fit. However, Kronansweden, Swedenkronan, etc. recently vandalized some sandboxes and is creating new accounts to bypass the bans. No one "invited" the person to vandalize the sandboxes. - Got it, thank you for the explanation. In general I think WP:NOTWEBHOST applies, but I see y'all are indeed occasionally editing this weather data in the mainspace, or otherwise not really causing any disruption, so I don't think there's any issue with this. It was the other accounts and vandalism-like editing that got my attention. Your sandbox has been protected so hopefully that's the end of that disruption. If more of it returns, feel free to ping me, or use {{admin help}} to summon another administrator. Best, — MusikAnimal talk 21:05, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- User:MusikAnimal, if you're happy then I am, and I can see you used your X-ray classes to check for hanky panky--but I will tell you that I've deleted a whole bunch of user pages not too long ago (though I can't find it in my logs) with tons and tons of those weatherboxes.
