Two AI reverts

[edit]

I took the liberty to revert two of your recent edits.

Edit of AI effect: Because the point you wish to convey already comes across in the text, that this devaluing of animal cognition is neither rational nor objective.

Edit of AI winter: That the interest in intelligent "living" machines is linked to an instinct for childrearing has been visited by at least one sociologist or anthropologist, as far as I can recall. Your comment may therefore fit in another article on artificial intelligence or artificial life, but it dosn't fit with the topic AI winter or the facts surrounding the fifth generation project. Your comments are much appreciated and helpful to my understanding of these concepts.

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Akihabara. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --DAJF (talk) 13:18, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making nonconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Magnetic resonance imaging. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. SpinningSpark 21:13, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just to clarify my reversion, you might like to see WP:Manual_of_Style#Dashes. En dashes (-) can be used spaced as parenthesis, and em dashes (—) are used unspaced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FergusRossFerrier (talkcontribs) 15:27, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IC, g10d luck, then.

Signing your messages

[edit]

Hello QASIMARA. Whenever you leave a message somewhere, or reply to a message, please sign your note by adding 4 of these "~" at the end of your message. That will automatically generate your signature and the date. Invertzoo (talk) 00:32, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your note on my talk page

[edit]

Hi QASIMARA, I have no idea what you meant by the note you left on my talk page. If you do indeed have something constructive and helpful to say, please try to be clearer. Also, as Anna pointed out, can you explain why you changed the information on my sign-up on Project Gastropods? It is considered very bad form on Wikipedia to change another person's posting, especially by cutting it down in length, and thus changing the meaning. It is also essential to fill in the edit summary when you make a change to any article or a talk page (other than extremely minor ones). Once you fill in the edit summary, other people can have some idea why you made the changes you made. If you can't give proper reasons for why you are making controversial changes or leaving odd notes such as these, then it makes your contributions look like vandalism.

Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 00:50, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the wishes, Invertzoo. And, please be careful. Be safe!

~QASIMARA

Thank you for your reply and your kind wishes. By the way if you type four of those wiggly lines at the end of your messages, once you hit save, that code will create your signature and the date automatically, without your having to do anything more than that. So, I am curious, can you explain what it was you wanted to try to tell me? Otherwise I will go ahead and erase your message and revert the changes on the Project Sign-up list. Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 17:29, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anna already said she did the revision. I thought you knew that. Gastropods are a very sensitive issue with me. Everything turns red in front of my eyes when I think about them. I dont know why. So I hope you'll accept my apologies when I thought you were using too many blue bullets to United States with your revision of Welks. As for the signature, 3 tildes suffice and yield this result: QASIMARA (talk)QASIMARA

Hi QASIMARA: Four tildes yields signature and time and date. That is very helpful for other editors, and for you too. Happy editing. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:40, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
