Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Bed, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. While I know it's true that there are some splendid Highland cattle grazing on the slopes of Arnside Knott, it's not really appropriate to add this to the encyclopedia unless you have a book or newspaper item you can quote to support this information. The fact that you can see them when you go for a walk is what's called Original Research! Welcome back to Wikipedia, and Happy Editing. PamD 07:43, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gunn High School

[edit]

Please note that Wikipedia has a notability guideline listed at WP:BIO. The person you are attempting to add to Gunn High School has not been shown to meet the threshold established by that guideline, nor has any source been provided that connects the person to the school, per WP:RS and WP:V. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 05:49, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Atheism

[edit]

Thanks for your concern with and edit to Atheism. As you can imagine with such a contentious topic, this is constantly being discussed, argued, and ranted about in talk:Atheism. If you are interested in editing the article "Atheism", I would suggest perusing the talk page. Also, if you want to make a significant edit, it probably would be best to discuss it on the talk page (if not already in progress). Of course, vandalism, spelling errors should not need discussion. Do remember to leave an wp:edit summary explaining your reasoning. Welcome to Wikipedia, and happy editing! Jim1138 (talk) 17:01, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Atheism . Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:49, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  JamesBWatson (talk) 11:56, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
