question
Why did you thank me for that edit to my userpage? I’m not complaining, just wondering why. Thanks in advance. Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 20:31, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- Total Eclipse 2017, apologies, for whatever reason I apparently had your useerpage history and another pages history open in different tabs while I was reverting vandalism, and must have accidentaly thanked you instead of the other person who reverted the edit I was going to. I guess we all make mistakes! Sorry for the confusion. All the best, -- puddleglum2.0 23:43, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- I was wondering why you were so interested in me editing my userpage... thanks for clarifying! Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 23:45, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
C.V.U.A. Training Request
Greetings. I've been interested in learning to be a member of the CVU for a little bit now and finally have the time. I see that you have an available spot for instruction and you're in the time zone closest to me (I'm in eastern time). I'd like to respectfully apply for that spot for the necessary duration. Thanks for your consideration. Quattrovalvole (u/t, s s/t) 20:57, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Quattrovalvole: sure -- I'll set up your training page when I get the time. I look forward to working with you! Stay safe, -- puddleglum2.0 22:13, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Great! I'm looking forward to it. :) Quattrovalvole (u/t, s s/t) 12:45, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

Your username
So, I was wondering why your username sounded familiar... and then I realized that Puddleglum is a character in one of the Narnia books (I forgot which one, will need to get them from the library when it reopens;) ). Is that where your username came from? Also, if you’re Puddleglum2.0, who’s Puddleglum1.0? Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 20:03, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Total Eclipse 2017, yup, my username is taken from Lewis' book The Silver Chair. I honestly don't know why I added the 2.0, there's no specific meaning behind it. Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 22:43, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Cool. Thanks for telling me which Narnia book Puddleglum was in. Which Narnia book’s your favorite, by the way? Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 20:26, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Total Eclipse 2017: I enjoy The Voyage of the Dawn Treader the most, but my favourite character form the series is Puddleglum. -- puddleglum2.0 20:41, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- You seem a bit more cheerful than him though:) Also, I kinda guessed considering your username... Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 20:43, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Question
Sorry to ask so many questions, it’s just that as my CVUA trainer, you’re the first person I turn to when I have countervandalism question. So, I reverted this edit, and gave the IP a level two vandalism warning in Twinkle since I felt it was too disruptive for a level 1. However, now I’m wondering if that was the right decision. What do you think? Regards. Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 20:03, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Total Eclipse 2017 yes, that warning works, but if I had reverted I personally would have handed out a 4im; content like that in any article, but especially a BLP, is completely unacceptable. Again, no need to apologize for questions, I'm always open! Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 20:43, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice! Will go revert more vandals in Recent Changes now... Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 20:46, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
On a related note, I’m guessing this is the kind of thing you give out a 4im for? At least I hope so, ‘cuz I did... Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 20:52, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Never mind, link is dead now; edit was either revision deleted or oversighted (to be honest, I don’t really understand the difference too well)... Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 21:04, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Total Eclipse 2017:: if the edit got revdelled, its probably enough to warrant a 4im. The difference between revdell and oversight lies in who can see it; administrators and 'crats can see revdelled edits, while only a special group called oversighters (and stewards I believe) can view oversighted edits, which means that super serious edits like death threats or suicide notes, and sometimes accidental logged-out editing that reveals your IP address gets oversighted. Hope this makes sense! -- puddleglum2.0 23:58, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for helping me understand the difference! Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 20:40, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Can you train me?
Replace this text with your message Levthecooldude666 (talk) 23:28, 20 May 2020 (UTC) Hi, i need a trainer. I texted the other trainer and the trainer did not reply. I hope you reply. Levthecooldude666
- Hi Levthecooldude666! I hope you're staying well. First, I want to make sure you understand what CVUA is for - it's not general training, its specifically training to fight vandalism. If you're looking for more general training and teaching, you might consider finding a willing user who would "adopt" you - more information can be found at this page. If you are looking for anti-vandalism training specifically though, would you mind coming back in around a week and a half to two weeks? This would be for two main reasons; one being that I'm kind of busy with current students (I just realized I forgot to update my student list) and, two, I would appreciate a little more edits from you to confirm that you are here to stay, at least for a little. CVUA takes up my time in addition to yours, and, while I'm willing (and eager) to use my time to train users, I like to ensure they aren't going to leave soon after or even during training. So, all that being said, here's the bottom line. If this is what you're looking for, I would love to accept you in about 10-14 days. I hope you understand my reasoning, I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks! -- puddleglum2.0 01:08, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
Peer review
I learned what peer review is, but I’m not sure how to file one. (I think I might eventually file one for Clicker heroes once I learn how, since I want to improve it as much as i can) Can you teach me how, or at least point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance. Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (My profile | My contribs | speak to me) 19:41, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

WikiProject A Cappella Updates
Hi there Puddleglum2.0! Just wanted to give you a heads up I was able to make Template:WikiProject A Cappella and get it going on its first ~30 pages. Also, started an article in February (Stanford Counterpoint) and got an article promoted to WP:GA status! (Stanford Fleet Street Singers). Shrinkydinks (talk) 09:04, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Shrinkydinks, great to hear from you! That's awesome! I'm glad to see that the project is taking off. I'm sorry I haven't been able to participate in it much - other activities and real life have precluded participation - but I hope that it continues to suceed. I'll try to be more active there in the future, but no guarantees. If you can get 3 - 4 participants, I could interview them and you for a Signpost article - I put together the WikiProject Report there (and other interview-related articles), which would help visibility and promote the project. Anyway, again, it's great to hear from you, and good luck for the future! -- puddleglum2.0 17:52, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
GA reassessment of Deep Blue (chess computer)
Hi Puddleglum2.0. I've started a good article reassessment of the Deep Blue (chess computer) article, which you recently reviewed—please see Talk:Deep Blue (chess computer)/GA2 for my notes. As I stated in my review, I was perusing the GAN list last week and was considering reviewing this article because it caught my interest. In real life, I am interested in computer science topics, so this is a topic that is particularly fascinating to me. After further review, I think there are a few additional issues with the article that need attention before the article can meet the good article criteria. Mz7 (talk) 20:54, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Mz7, Thanks for the notification, I'll post my thoughts there soon. While I'm replying, I just wanted to say sorry about the SPI slip-up a couple days ago, I didn't get a chance to apologize for using up your time like that. One more thing; would you mind telling me the gist of what the revision you deleted on my talk page was about on 20 May? I meant to reach out earlier but forgot. Even not knowing what it was, thanks for taking care of it. Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 21:51, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks! No worries about the SPI. The revision that you are talking about was suppressed, so I'm afraid I can't share too much (hopefully that's enough gist, heh). Mz7 (talk) 21:56, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Mz7, Thanks, sounds great! Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 21:59, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Doug Armstrong (YouTuber)
Hello Puddleglum2.0. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Doug Armstrong (YouTuber), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: claims significance sufficient to pass A7. G11 can only apply if *all* revisions are unambiguously promotional. Take it to WP:AFD instead. Thank you. SoWhy 06:37, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Dua Lipa's case
Hello, I come to you for help, it is not about complicity. I have been in the Wikimedia project for two months, I come from the community in Spanish, I have been in this language for 3 days, so I do not know where to ask for help here because things in each community are handled differently. I need to know where I can get a resolution of the case that already wrote, I cannot search a consensus because if I do so I would be discussing something encyclopedically relevant and encyclopedic relevance is indisputable and non-negotiable (in this case). I see that you are an experience user and I would appreciate it if you could give me a hand and guide me. I'm sorry for involucrate you in this. Thank you. Alexismata7 (talk) 01:29, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Alexismata7, hello! Welcome to the English version Wikipedia, I hope you are enjoying you're first couple days. So, there are a couple venues I would try if you can't engage with the editor you have a disagreement with, but before you go to any of those, try adding your content to the Dua Lipa article and see if it gets reverted again. Here on en-wp, we have a policy called WP:SILENCE, which basically says that if you don't get a response from the editor you have a disagreement with within a reasonable time frame, you can assume agreement and continue with what you were doing. Currently, I don't believe enough time has passed since you left a response to justify citing this policy - before adding your content I would wait another day or two to see if they reply, but if they don't, you can go ahead and add it without any further discussion. If you add the content and it gets reverted again, you have a couple options. First, you could come back here to notify me and I'll look over the situation and give you some more specific advice based on what has occurred. This is what I personally would advise doing first. If though, for some reason you don't want to do that, I think, based on what's happened so far, you would probably be justified in taking this to WP:ANI to get advice from more experienced editors than me. I hope this makes sense - I apologize for the long-winded reply, feel free to post again if you have any questions/concerns about this. All the best, -- puddleglum2.0 01:49, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the directions. The user has already responded in the complaint I made him, despite the fact that it is a text external to his discussion page, I can assume it as a response. Clearly he refused again even though he ignores the fact that I proved my point with sources, now where should I go? Alexismata7 (talk) 14:01, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Alexismata7, I think that now the best option would be to begin a case at WP:DRN. This is a board where you can raise your dispute and an uninvolved, experienced editor will mediate between you and hopefully bring you to an agreement. Tell me if you have any trouble setting up a case, I'm happy to help whenever. Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 15:54, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello, Puddleglum2.0. It has been several days since the user gave in. I thank you very much for offering help and being so kind. You are honestly the most capable person I have seen so far to receive new users, it takes a lot of people like you in this project. Alexismata7 (talk) 18:30, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
- Alexismata7, thanks so much, I'm glad everything worked out! There are a lot more people more familiar with policy than I, but I'm so glad I could be of help! Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 22:33, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

Editor of the Week : nominations needed!
The Editor of the Week initiative has been recognizing editors since 2013 for their hard work and dedication. Editing Wikipedia can be disheartening and tedious at times; the weekly Editor of the Week award lets its recipients know that their positive behaviour and collaborative spirit is appreciated. The response from the honorees has been enthusiastic and thankful.
The list of nominees is running short, and so new nominations are needed for consideration. Have you come across someone in your editing circle who deserves a pat on the back for improving article prose regularly, making it easier to understand? Or perhaps someone has stepped in to mediate a contentious dispute, and did an excellent job. Do you know someone who hasn't received many accolades and is deserving of greater renown? Is there an editor who does lots of little tasks well, such as cleaning up a citation.
Please help us thank editors who display sustained patterns of excellence, working tirelessly in the background out of the spotlight, by submitting your nomination for Editor of the Week today! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:50, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
Articles for Creation: List of reviewers by subject notice
Hi Puddleglum2.0, you are receiving this notice because you are listed as an active Articles for Creation reviewer.
Recently a list of reviewers by area of expertise was created. This notice is being sent out to alert you to the existence of that list, and to encourage you to add your name to it. If you or other reviewers come across articles in the queue where an acceptance/decline hinges on specialist knowledge, this list should serve to facilitate contact with a fellow reviewer.
To end on a positive note, the backlog has dropped below 1,500, so thanks for all of the hard work some of you have been putting into the AfC process!
Sent to all Articles for Creation reviewers as a one-time notice. To opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page. Regards, Sam-2727 (talk)

CVU Academy
I would like you to train me for the CVU. Thank you, Just gonna edit a bit (talk) 16:04, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
- Just gonna edit a bit, hi, I hope you're staying well. I've looked through your contribs, and would like to ask you to maybe come back in about two weeks for CVUA, for a couple reasons. One, you are barely under the requirements to be a student, I'd like to see a couple dozen more edits. More importantly though, I don't see much evidence that counter-vandalism is something you're truly interested in; if you go install Twinkle and revert a bit of vandalism at Special:RecentChanges. If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to reply. Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 22:37, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

- Total Eclipse 2017, you can look at the edit to see exactly what I did, but I used nowiki tags and code tags. The nowiki tags will make markup appear as plaintext, while the code tags create the little grey box. Does this make sense? All the best, -- puddleglum2.0 22:50, 29 May 2020 (UTC) (or,

Request CVU Training
Hello there, I would like to request CVU training. I have 220 main space edits and 548 total edits(Most of my edits are from counter-vandalism). I currently use Twinkle, but I would like to learn more about anti-vandalism. I was told about this program from the Teahouse and my time zone is PST. Thank you! - The creeper2007, hello, thanks for your ineterest! Hope you're fine with me take a day or two to look through your contribs and probably set things up. Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 00:58, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

- The creeper2007, ok, I created the page, you should have gotten pinged there, if you didn't tell me and I'll redo it. Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 19:36, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
Completed section
Hi, I've finished the Dealing With Difficult Users section. Can you grade it now? Thanks! Thanoscar21talk, contribs 22:19, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
C/e of Black Swan (song)
Hi. Thank you so much for taking up the c/e request for this page. I just wanted to know if there is any particular reason why the description of the audio sample in the article was removed, as I have seen many GA song articles having an elaborate audio file text and was hoping to keep the same. Thank you for your help and time. --Ashleyyoursmile (talk) 06:52, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Ashleyyoursmile, hi! Actually, to me the super long description looked very clunky and not helpful to me - the information contained in it was explained in the text immediately below. When I add song files, I personally just add the title, the date it was either written or performed, and the group/person who performed it. There could be policy I'm unaware of - if there is, I'll revert. Looking through MOS now though to see if it says anything. All the best, -- puddleglum2.0 19:19, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- The closest I could find was WP:CAPTION, which says this: Captions should be succint; more information can be included on its description page or the main text - I think this probably applies to that audio file. Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 19:30, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Puddleglum2.0: You are right. Thank you for checking it for me. Best regards, --Ashleyyoursmile (talk) 04:24, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
My userpage
I just wnted to say that the edit you madr to my userpage was helpful. However, for the future, could you maybe please ask on my talk page before editing my userpage? Its no big deal, jus wanted to let you know what my preference is. Regards. Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (talk | contribs) 19:38, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Total Eclipse 2017, sure, sorry for the inconvenience! I'm somewhat of a gnome editor, so small little mistakes like that are hard for me to pass. :D Thanks for letting me know your preferences though, I'll keep that in mind for the future! By the way, I hope you manage to get a better editing device soon, it's really tricking editing from a phone. I would advise enabling the rollback verification preference, you can find that in your preferences - I keep on accidentaley hitting rollback when I have to be on mobile. All the best, -- puddleglum2.0 19:42, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- It’s fine, I dont really mind. Also, I will enable that confirmatiom feature. Phone editing really is hard; as you can see, I cant spel on the onscreen keyboard. Trying to find a decent laptop... also, what do gnomes have to do with editing? I am very confused... Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (talk | contribs) 19:49, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Total Eclipse 2017, sorry to confuse you - a sort of Wikipedia inside joke is wiki fauna - there are different "wiki-animals" to describe editing behaviour. It really isn't necessary to understand, just something that I find amusing. Good luck with finding a new device, I really sympathize with you, especially nowadays. All the best, -- puddleglum2.0 20:12, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- They are sort of amusing... I clicekd the links, and I think I’m at least partially gnome... what do you think? Stay safe and well, --Total Eclipse 2017 (talk | contribs) 21:05, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Total Eclipse 2017, seems accurate! :) Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 16:11, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
