Wendy Toye & Ruby Ginner

[edit]

Hello. I am trying to contact Ptoye to ask a question. Or if anyone else reading this can help me, then please get in touch. I am trying to ascertain the connection between Ruby Ginner and Wendy Toye. I have read that Ginner taught dance to Toye - but I don’t know where, when or what the circumstances were. Ruby Ginner and Irene Mawer founded the Ginner-Mawer School of Dance and Drama, but I am thinking that that is not the connection. Thanks. JanetFizzCurtis (talk) 11:48, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Janet. I'm afraid I can't help you much. I don't know much about Wendy's early days of dancing (long before my time!). I did see a photo of her and about half a dozen other young girls all looking suitably angelic at a dance teacher but have not idea at all who that was. Nor do I recollect her mentioning Ruby Ginner's name, but if she did I probably wouldn't have remembered it. Sorry Ptoye (talk) 17:01, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ptoye (sorry I don’t know your actual name). Apologies for my late reply to your message, but I have only just seen it. Wiki didn’t sent me a message to say that it was here and I have come across it by happy accident. Thank you so much for getting back to me. Best wishes. Janet. Hello Janet. My actual name is Peter! No idea why Wiki didn't tell you about my message - it just told me about yours. Computers are like that. Ptoye (talk) 09:33, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
