Musical theatre articles
[edit]Hello, Prodirman. The editors who contribute to musical theatre articles have long considered a description of historical productions to be an important part of an article about a work of musical theatre. See WP:MUSICALS' article structure guidelines for more information about information that generally should be described in a musical theatre article. The brief section at the top of each Wikipedia article is called the Wp:LEAD, and it presents merely a brief overview of the article's content. Then more detailed information is given in the sections below. For a good example of a musical theatre article, see Carousel (musical). That is the kind of article that we aspire to. The commentary of newspaper critics with respect to a musical are of interest to readers. As you are a new editor here, I suggest that you read some of the WP:Featured Articles in your areas of interest to see what is commonly included in the best Wikipedia articles. Featured articles have been reviewed by numerous experienced editors and have been considered among the best in this encyclopedia. Generally speaking, deleting references to published sources is not a good idea. All the best. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:31, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
