Speedy deletion nomination of Anton Josef Kirchweger
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Anton Josef Kirchweger requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ~~EBE123~~(talk) 22:33, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- you really need to give some better indication that the book is actually important As reviewing administrator, I didn't delete it, because it asserts information, but if you do't improve it it won't stay. I advise you to do this very quickly, before the article gets nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process. DGG ( talk ) 01:40, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Kirchweger-Aurea-Catena.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Kirchweger-Aurea-Catena.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
The article Scholé has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- New journal, has published one issue. No independent sources, apparently not indexed in any selective major databases. Does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NJournals.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Crusio (talk) 21:31, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
Altered speedy deletion rationale: Aureum Seculum Redivivum
[edit]Hello Proclus27. I am just letting you know that I deleted Aureum Seculum Redivivum, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 16:00, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Auditorium of Maecenas, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.romereborn.virginia.edu/ge/AS-002.html.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 14:33, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- I saw your note about whether the use of this source was ok. The source and sources it uses appear to be copyrighted, so I had to redirect the article to Gardens of Maecenas. Please read this essay on text and copyright for more guidance. Please feel free to rewrite the article and if you have any questions, let me know.--NortyNort (Holla) 03:33, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

Redirect
[edit]I redirected Aureum Saeculum Redivivum to Adrian von Mynsicht. It would have been deleted under CSD A7. Ryan Vesey (talk) 19:54, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Villa Strohl-Fern
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Villa Strohl-Fern requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Disambiguation link notification for March 16
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Christiane Sourvinou-Inwood, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Minoan and University College (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
