test. how do I put an existing document for consideration by wikipedia?Procdm (talk) 21:26, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, Procdm. Generally you don't. You may edit existing articles, drafts, and non-article pages. You may also create new drafts and articles, as well as some non-article pages. You can write the text of a new article, draft, or page off-line, such as in a word processor, before posting it. But existing documents from somewhere else should usually not be posted to Wikipedia. There are some exceptions. If I knew the nature and purpose of the document you have in mind I could give a better and more complete answer. If you reply and want me to see your reply, please ping me, by placing
{{Ping|DESiegel}}
somewhere in your response, and signing the response with four tildes (~~~~
), as I will do at the end of this message. The wiki software converts this into your default or custom signature plus a timestamp. The ping does not function properly unless the comment is signed as part of the same edit. I only happened to see this note while starting to reply to your Teahouse question. This is the kind of question that can be asked at the Teahouse. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:51, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
