Beasts of Final Fantasy
Here's how I envision the ultimate form of the article:
- Lead section
- Overview
- Notable monsters
- Ten or so notable monsters
- "Others" section (in deserts, players often encounter monsters like ____ works (appearing in...)....and antlions.... In forests....) yada yada yada
- References
- See also
- External links
This is ideal, methinks. — Deckiller 18:42, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree that the removed links are "spam", as Shoryuken is the main hub of competitive Street Fighter gaming; however, XSF hasn't been a game people compete at for quite some time, so I left it alone. Danny Lilithborne 04:44, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Assessment plugin
Hi Pres, I see you've been assessing articles. You might want to use the assessment plugin, which makes it much quicker to go through the unassessed category. If you need help getting it to work let me know. (apologies if this information is totally useless to you) Cheers :) jaco♫plane 19:26, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

FF
Hello PresN, I wanted to add some important staff members and other information for Final Fantasy, but that was trivial and the infobox got cluttered up by accident when I added some more staff members and whoops, that was unnecessary information! My bad! Also, if I want to experiment to test my editing skills, I will experiment by using the Sandbox ^_^. I won't let you down, Axem Titanium, PresN and TKD, even if I use it. No Worries about that here ^_^. Thanks for the information and advice you gave me earlier, my friends ^_^. I do really like all of you and I am always nice to all of you ^_^.--Sjones23 03:49, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Tagging articles
Haha, I was sure someone would be upset that I just increased the workload :) Could you read through Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Computer and video games/Assessment and leave your thoughts on the talk page? If you think it's a terrible idea that's fine, I just went ahead and started it because usually proposals don't get anywhere unless there's a functioning prototype, and I felt we should have a discussion on where we're going with all this rating stuff. Cheers, JACOPLANE • 2007-01-8 00:05
I noticed you have changed the images on the Marine Park Empire page to have a gallery tag. This causes all kinds of stupid problems (now I can't see the images) and I have to put quite a bit of effort to fix it. Please don't do it again. --Cuddly Panda 22:06, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Hello PresN, thanks for your assessment and interesting comments on this article. Ksempac 21:18, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Hate to shoot myself in the foot here, but on the Call of Duty 3 article, you said you were leaving it as stub class, but then, changed the template to start class. Anyway, thanks for you time, and your comments will be taken into consideration. Madgreatgrandpa 11:52, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Also, I'd just like to query some of your comments, would you rather that the tabular sections were deleted outright, or fashioned into prose? Madgreatgrandpa 11:58, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Assessing articles
Thanks for assessing the articles that have been requested so far. I haven't been very active there myself, but you've done a great job, especially with leaving comments on the talk pages. I think I'll go ahead with implementing the whole A-class system soon. There hasn't been much feedback but nobody has objected. From my experience with Wikipedia, so long as there is no mass campaign objecting to what you're doing, there is consensus that what you're doing is ok. Personally I feel that having the A-class evaluation system should help us get most of our GA's to FA's. Take care, JACOPLANE • 2007-01-18 02:20
Why did you remove the cvg tag from Talk:Adam Powell? Articles that are tagged with the MMOG tag should also have the CVG tag no? JACOPLANE • 2007-01-27 20:39
Sorry to bother you.
I was wondering if it'd be possible to get a reassessment on the Poison (Final Fight) article...as it stands other than maybe a bit on the character's in-game personality I don't think anyting else could be stated about the character: I've pretty much added everything other than that one aformentioned bit about the character to the article and kept it as NPOV as I could. Main reason I'm pushing for this is I'm trying to improve all the Final Fight series articles all around, and make them include as much info as possible instead of being just footnotes scattered all over wikipedia, and I could use a few directions as to what I should fix up. Anyway, thanks for your time, and again sorry to bug you with this.--Kung Fu Man 22:47, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Crash Nitro Kart
Recently, you complained about the Crash Nitro Kart board having unneeded information. If you have yet to notice, the Crash Team Racing board is set out in EXACTLY the same way. However, I have never heard anyone complain about it. It is, therefore, unfair to complain about one and not the other. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.219.92.36 (talk) 12:56, 29 January 2007 (UTC).
Shortage of hands
Hi, it seems we're running low on pro-encyclopedic hands for the WPFF project. Are you willing to return to/continue with some pretty heavy editing? :) — Deckiller 06:37, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think I'm going to dabble for a while, actually. By the way, do you have any of the prima strategy guides? Those are the best reliable sources that aren't primary sources that we can get. — Deckiller 06:44, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oh well. :) Any ideas of stuff to do with/for the project, like merges/anti-cruft/etc? — Deckiller 06:55, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, cool. Take a look at how I trimmed List of Final Fantasy armor and accessories. Also, I pasted a few more startup things in User:Deckiller/Gameplay of Final Fantasy. — Deckiller 07:09, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Good job
Good job on helping format the List of GameCube games article. 2 lists down (the 2 I know of are GameCube and N-Gage, there could be more formatted ones I bet). Many to go: Category:Computer and video game lists by platform. I hate to be a killjoy, but there is certainly other lists that need work as well. I would do it if I had the time (and knew all the correct information: seeing as how many of the older console games have poor articles, it would take alot of research to format those lists). I've been searching for video game articles with no CVG project tag lately: and I've found quite a bit on my own (since I don't use AWB or anything like that). So the assessment is getting near complete I think. RobJ1981 06:16, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
CVG Assessment: Kane (Command & Conquer)
No one actually rated this, that was the rating given to it by the requestor) (diff)
I did actually assess the article, and assessed it at B/Mid: that's why I didn't edit the talk page, because that's what it was rated at already. (I always assess first, then check the talk page, if there's no rating given in the request.) Maybe I should've left a note or something. Good to see there's someone watching and checking, though, and I appreciate it. I won't make a fuss of this, and won't change your Start rating, but for reference, when I observe the following:
- Article satisfies the most common need for information about the subject. (In this case: "Who is this Kane guy?")
- When the need for expansion (The article clearly needs to be expanded. -Start class) is not clear from reading the article itself. (i.e: there's no sign of lacking information, like stub templates in sections, a single sentence introduction, or external links beyond the external links section.)
- And all improvements are mostly related to wikipolicies, citations, and references, rather than the amount of information available. (...a serious student or researcher trying to use the material would have trouble doing so... -B class)
I'm tempted to give the article a B-rating.
Also, as I'm new to assessing CVG articles (as well as trying to peer review sometimes), and you seem to be well-versed in this, I'd like to finish with a simple "Hello!"

Strategy Guides
AWESOME! How are you obtaining them? — Deckiller 09:31, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Nice; perhaops we can elevate the creature article to GA this week - all we need is more scholarly sources. The Character class is not far away, although a lot of the refs are temporary until we get around to using the strategy guide sources. — Deckiller 17:45, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- By the way - do you have AIM? — Deckiller 17:48, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Referencing
Since we'll be relying a lot on the strategy guides, I think we should have a "references section" with a bulleted list of the sources (w/o page numbers), and then have a "notes" section for quotes, websites, and the page cites. Kind of like Battle of Dien Bien Phu (a wierd comparison, I know, but I like its ref style). — Deckiller 09:45, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

GA requests
Hi; could you help me review the Games GA candidates: perhaps you can pass or fail the ones I worked on? The characters article stall on GAC is really costing valuable time. — Deckiller 17:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's okay. I have a couple A-Class requests up at Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Assessment, if you want to give some feedback. — Deckiller 17:02, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Something weird's going on with a few of your edit summaries. You cleaned up this one, over here, but just today you did it again here, on Oblivion's talk page. What's going on? Final Fantasy pushes
Hey; which Final Fantasies that are not FAs have you played or have sources for? If you have time, we could use all the help we can get. — Deckiller 02:25, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've been really wanting to see IX featured. I think Nicholai has also played FF9, so perhaps that can be a future target. — Deckiller 02:35, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I just hope we don't get burned out :) The cruft project might need to be put on hold probably, until we get the main articles featured. That might, in turn, help reduce cruft indirectly. — Deckiller 02:39, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, cool. Just remember that GA standards should not be as high as FA standards. Wii Remote could've probably been passed IMO. — Deckiller 23:54, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

New CVG games
Sorry I misunderstood the 'new articles' section on the VG project page. I was adding articles that had not yet received a cvgproj tag - I guess I read "Please add video game articles you find there to this page" and took "New CVG articles" to mean "New articles to the CVG project." Which to me makes that section seem more useful. Well, anyway, I'll stop it. (But continue to add new NEW articles, natch :>) Marasmusine 19:18, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi, just saying hello; thanks for filling in the assessment on the cvg articles I started recently. I spend all that time getting references etc, then I'm too lazy to self-assess :> Marasmusine 16:57, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Banners
Sub-project banners replace parent banners all the time, there's no big deal with it. WP:DIGI does it with WP:ANIME. WP:TV takes a back seat all the time when there's a show-specific banner. It's been common practice for a very long time, and I don't see why you are getting upset over it. One of the reasons we do this is to help divide up the work load, because it just makes sense to do that. -- Ned Scott 06:38, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
