Thanks for the heads-up about my misapplied speedy deletion template. I don't know how that got past me. I trust the matter was resolved satisfactorily in the end, but I'll be more attentive to these things in the future. - Vianello (talk) 00:10, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

If you think that:
- "The_Betrayal_of_Cossacks" is a proper internal link
- "Interview With History by Oriani Fallaci-" is a proper source
- pushing 1999 NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia into the articles about war crimes is alright
- having 4 external links, 3 of them being about Sri Lanka (pushing POV again) and 1 being a YouTube video about something
- changing Haditha killings into "Massacre of Haditha"
- and so and on

Hi Prashanthns. I noticed you edited a Draco, and I think that this completes a circle. I started cleaning up the lizards in Category:Agama (genus) and Category:Agamidae (family) categories, which were placed under a common name 'Agamas'. I initially came to encourage more edits to lizards, but after glancing through your talk I believe you may be more interested in what I did with Category:Agamas. Cheers, cygnis insignis 17:24, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oh! Dint know this category! Anyways, are the real 'agamas' populate this category at all!? Anyways, on another note, dont be too discouraged about that bit on edits to lizards......there will be some spurt of edits from my end....do see Draco indochinensis. Prashanthns (talk) 17:32, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Neat! I put in the new Category:Draco. Do the links I added above clarify things? cygnis insignis 18:15, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, they dont clarify. Could you try again..please? (And quick reply thanks to speedy server on my side :)) Prashanthns (talk) 18:19, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- The category Agamas previously contained lizards commonly names as 'agamas'. These were put into the first two categories. I 'recycled' this category by categorising it as Indian lit and began populating it with Agamas, it seems like would be a useful category. cygnis insignis 21:24, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Wow!Absolutely intuitive....Great work. Let me now populate both categories.. ;) Thanks for the detailed clarifs! Prashanthns (talk) 21:30, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

When I started using Huggle, I made a lot of errors because I was unaccustomed to the speed that it allows. Until you get used to it, you should probably take a second look at each diff before you revert. changes to DARYL page
I made chanegs to the DARYL main page, and created a DARYL (disambiguation) pages, and move the current content of DARYL to DARYL (magician). I feel this provides a more proper search entry for DARYL, and allows for the proper sub-categorization of additonal entries, including DARYL (magician). I feel this is a more proper entry for each, and is better to not have a singular person essentially "own" a SURNAME entry like DARYL

Ayn Rand article
Hello, thanks for reverting the talk page comments by Edward Nilges on Ayn Rand talk. Edward uses many anon IP addresses and has no account I beleive. He has engaged in much hurling insults and I warned him awhile ago via wikiquette. Thanks for keeping thing clean and positive!Ethan a dawe (talk) 13:11, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
This is Edward G. Nilges. Take a look at the proposed addition to Criticism. It was in fact the description of an important document, a review by the (conservative) philosopher Sydney Hook of Rand's book "For the New Intellectual" which represents the view of the philosophical community, independent of politics, of Ayn Rand as a philosopher.
It is censorship and vandalism to silently and without discussion remove contributions such as these, which are higher in quality than 90% of what I've seen on wikipedia. My personality, and the fact that I am enraged by the behavior of convenience store clerks masquerading as scholars who since 2004 have hounded and harassed real contributors, perhaps to ensure that real contributors get neither compensation, nor recognition, is logically independent of this matter as is my willingness to call a spade, a spade.
I cannot see where my Talk page edits are being removed, and I am NOT edit warring over the undo to the main page edit. Despite my willingness to speak truth to the collective power of slobs and convenience store clerks, I don't fuck around. I got the Hook article from my online access to the New York Times and I sat the fuck down to precis his views, which address, point by point, the three pillars of "objectivism", showing that it's a point of view and not a philosophy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.103.128.42 (talk • contribs) Apr 20, 2008

Three-revert rule
You appear to have made some reverts lately on Bosniaks. Please be aware that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reverts on a single page within a 24 hour period. If you continue reverting, you risk being blocked from editing. Rather than reverting edits, please consider using the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. The dispute resolution processes may also help. Stifle (talk) 11:36, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Please also remember that rollback should only be used to revert blatant vandalism. Reverts in content disputes, even where other editors have violated 3RR, should be made using Undo or manual reverts. Stifle (talk) 11:38, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- In response to the above, Prashanthns has acted correctly, the edits he has rolled back are blatant vandalism. The user he reverted (a troll operating from eight different IPs) has been informed multiple times that his edits, racist in nature, violates many Wikipedia articles and seems to be here only to troll.JdeJ (talk) 11:46, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. Thanks for your warning about the three-revert rule. But, hey, I was only trying to get those two people on the article into a talk page rather than revert each other!! Please see this edit, where I first stumbled on this exchange while vandalfighting on Huggle. I undid myself, as I knew that I had no business in this case, as I dont know the details. When this happened by another user, I decided to look into the matter, and found that POV pushing is happening by an ip. That is when I made 2 REVERTS ONLY (this and this and left a msg at the ip's talk page which I notice you have rightly blocked! I do hope you look into this matter. If you still think I have violated the 3-revert rule, please justify. Thanks. Prashanthns (talk) 11:45, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- I do not think you have violated the three-revert rule, I left you a message to inform/remind you about it. Just remember that just because edits are against consensus or undesirable does not mean that reverting them is exempt from the 3RR. Stifle (talk) 11:47, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification. But, please do see the diffs I have given above. There were only 2 reverts! My next action was to directly engage the ip on his talk page. Where is the impending 3RR violation? Prashanthns (talk) 11:50, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- To further clarify, there is no "impending 3RR violation". Stifle (talk) 11:51, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I disagree with the tone of your warning (discouraging and aggressive), while agreeing with its content. Thanks however for quick clarifications and prompt action. Prashanthns (talk) 11:53, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Funny you should mention that. {{uw-3rr}} is meant to be the "discouraging and aggressive" warning, as opposed to {{uw-3rr-alt}} which is what I left for you. I'm open to suggestions as to how to better advise people that the 3RR exists and de-escalate a possible edit war. Stifle (talk) 11:57, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Wow. Less WP:BITEy version, it says! My suggestions to the 3 sentences - first one is ok. Third one regarding the talk page and consensus should come second and for the second one, I think the passive voice is better. "...If you continue reverting, you risk being blocked from editing" could become less bitey if it read thus: "Continuous reversions may result in blocking of accounts". This will also emphasize the preferences of the one who warns. Talk page and consensus require more emphasis than the possibility of blocks, especially, if you want to appear less bitey, and if you are warning people like me with a fairly silent profile! Appreciate your concern regarding tone and your request for feedback. Prashanthns (talk) 12:05, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Recent edit to Cranefly article
This is an exerpt from a site clarifying that true daddy long legs do not possess venom, contrary to the claim made in the article mentioned above:
Daddy-longlegs (Opiliones) - these arachnids make their living by eating decomposing vegetative and animal matter although are opportunist predators if they can get away with it. They do not have venom glands, fangs or any other mechanism for chemically subduing their food. Therefore, they do not have poison and, by the powers of logic, cannot be poisonous from venom. Some have defensive secretions that might be poisonous to small animals if ingested. So, for these daddy-long-legs, the tale is clearly false.
This is from http://spiders.ucr.edu/daddylonglegs.html
The change was constructive because it rendered the article factual. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.49.239.248 (talk) 18:22, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree that your recently-created article Kumaresan now has the required context and is not a candidate for speedy deletion; I have removed the csd tag. - Thanks. Dint realize myself that there could be an article already...and yes, interesting fellow, I learnt about him only now ;)...I lived my life some 150 km away, and yet..hmm! Thanks. Prashanthns (talk) 18:33, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello. You had left some comments on my talk page about an edit that I do not remember making at all. I have not reverted any of your edits, so I would appreciate a link/diff to the revert you are talking about. Also, note that I have reverted your comments on my talk page as they constitute personal attacks. Please maintain civility in interactions. Thank you. Prashanthns (talk) 22:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- For your reference, this is the edit on my talk page that I am referring to. Prashanthns (talk) 22:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Didn't realize calling you a "n00b" was an attack, guess you have never played any online games before, either way, here is the link, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwich_University?diff=208621812 I still say noob is not a personal attack —Preceding unsigned comment added by Charliefoxtrot77 (talk • contribs) 22:58, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- All I am asking for is a little civility. If you look at your comments on my talk page more closely, you will see that you did not only call me a n00b, you also gave me some lurid suggestions. Anyways,

1) First of all, that revert you have provided is for an IP and not User:Charliefoxtrot77. So, I had no idea of knowing. 2) Your previous edit had just been reverted. So, I reverted that edit you referred to. Please go ahead and re-do the edit, if you stand by it. And, please sign your comments with 4 tildes and put your comments in a new section when you leave comments at talk pages. Lets be respectful to each other, we are not here really to make lives more difficult for each other, are we? So, I hope you get off your anger at me for that reversion, and rather move on with your editing. Thanks. Prashanthns (talk) 23:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Nobody, and I mean nobody beats me to vandalism on my talk page. And you did. *cries* ;) Keep up the awesome job. You just keep beating me. *cries again* Thingg⊕⊗ 23:38, 27 April 2008 (UTC) |

- ok, now it's all becoming clear... Why the vandals always fail, why this is true, and why I'm so crazy. I appreciate the enlightenment... ;) btw, I'm signing off now. Thanks for the laughs. Thingg⊕⊗ 00:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

New question
I noticed that you edited my 2.4GHz section.
I've deleted parts of it, because what was there is complete non-sense. I would type my own view on it but it seems people can't handle that.
What was there was not true, it doesn't frequently change frequency, FUTABA radios frequently change channel, channel hopping. But others such as Spektrum radio systems DO NOT do this, they select two channels and then lock into them, no switching.
Futaba:
"Other 2.4GHz systems hold firm to one or two frequencies. The frequency of Futaba 2.4GHz FASST shifts hundreds of times per second."
Spektrum: (Link as drescritpion is a image.)

(There are others but I do not know how they work)

Hey there, thanks for the reply, I'm new to all this wikipedia stuff and might not have edited it correctly, what was in there annoyed me as it's totally misleading to new people. I'm not the best at typing so I'll leave it to somewhere else, I'll just put my view in the talk page on there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.5.193.111 (talk) 15:55, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

As per what you said. Just letting you know. Don't be discouraged! Enigma message 17:35, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. It did get discouraging initially, but well, all points well taken. Cheers. Prashanthns (talk) 17:41, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Nicely done
I commend your bowing out of the RfA.
Here are some suggestions for your next RfA: About a month before you go for RfA again, submit yourself at WP:ER. Then find yourself a nominator who will go over your contribs carefully and present a nomination that is representative of you and your performance. I would be glad to do this for you, if you'd like (if so, contact me in 2.5 months, and I'll take a look). Another way to go is to get an admin coach, but you obviously do not need one, and I recommend against it - it would only slow you down (coaching discussions can be very time consuming). The Transhumanist 17:46, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
P.S.: drop me a note when you go for WP:ER. The Transhumanist 17:46, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot. No, I dont think I will go in for admin coaching, but I shall definitely consider WP:ER and thanks for this. I shall drop you a note. Prashanthns (talk) 17:51, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome. And keep up the good work. Cheers. The Transhumanist 18:53, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Top Gear
Hi, the top of the page on that wiki page states that the article is too long so i was trying to break it up into smaller sections to make the article more readable as it is far too long to be able to tell Xrateddan (talk) 19:38, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Sometimes it's hard to chose whether first impressions may be misguided and and article is just badly written rather than nonsense. After reading the whole article I was impressed by the level of dribble in this one - glad to help getting it deleted faster. Happy Editing - Peripitus (Talk) 10:02, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm not vandalizing the page. Jeff Lovingood is a very revered member of this community and is looked up to by many people. He has brought hundreds of students and athletes to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. I am not kidding when I say that he was the former UT Vols Chaplain...there is a picture in his office right now of him and Phil Fulmer on the field and Nieland Stadium. We are working on writing him a bio on here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.155.108.226 (talk) 17:17, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Even if that is true, please note that the section already carries a tag about providing references. If he is that notable, how come there is no article on him yet. If you want to add him, please provide references. Please see WP:CITE. Thanks. Prashanthns (talk) 17:20, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
there is no article on him because we are currently writing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.155.108.226 (talk) 17:22, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi could you please explain why you marked my image Apheloriavirginiensis.jpg for copyright violation?--Paphrag (talk) 00:58, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. I have tagged it based on the fact this website claims a copyright to another individual and there was no fair use release stated on the website. I have given the details here. Please feel free to comment about it. Thanks. Prashanthns (talk) 07:34, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

WiPP
Hope the WiPP page is getting better. Once you say its ok, more material can be added. Still not sure how to reach Dan; clicked on the link you provided but could not find the 'push to talk' on his page. Best wishes —Preceding unsigned comment added by WorkingInPartnershipProgramme (talk • contribs) 14:10, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- I am watching the page. After clicking on Dan's user page link on your page, you must click 'Discussion' tab on his user page. This is his talk page. On clicking Discussion tab, you can click "New section" tab on this page to leave him a message. This is the way you can leave messages on any user's talk page. In my case, I have chosen to put a separate option "Push to talk", which other users may or may not have. For this time, click here, but in future, you can use this method I described above to talk to other users. I will take a look at the page again and leave comments if any on the talk page of the page. Cheers. Prashanthns (talk) 14:16, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
