File source problem with File:AaryaAmbekar.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:AaryaAmbekar.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:22, 18 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 14:22, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rescue tag placement.

[edit]

The Rescue tag should be placed in the article itself, not in the AFD. Dream Focus 23:14, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:AaryaAmbekar.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Signpost exit poll

[edit]

Dear Wikipedian, you recently voted in the ArbCom election. Your username, along with around 155 other usernames of your fellow Wikipedians, was randomly selected from the 2000+ Wikipedians who voted this year, with the help of one of the election-commissioners. If you are willing, could you please participate (at your option either on-wiki via userspace or off-wiki via email) in an exit poll, and answer some questions about how you decided amongst the ArbCom candidates?

If you decide to participate in this exit poll, the statistical results will be published in the Signpost, an online newspaper with over 1000 Wikipedians among the readership. There are about twelve questions, which have alphanumerical answers; it should take you a few minutes to complete the exit poll questionnaire, and will help improve Wikipedia by giving future candidates information about what you think is important. This is only an unofficial survey, and will have no impact on your actual vote during this election, nor in any future election.

All questions are individually optional, and this entire exit poll itself is also entirely optional, though if you choose not to participate, I would appreciate a brief reply indicating why you decided not to take part (see Question Zero). Thanks for being a Wikipedian

The questionnaire

[edit]

Dear Wikipedian, please fill out these questions -- at your option via usertalk or via email, see Detailed Instructions at the end of the twelve questions -- by putting the appropriate answer in the blanks provided. If you decide not to answer a question (all questions are optional), please put the reason down: "undecided" / "private information" / "prefer not to answer" / "question is not well-posed" / "other: please specify". Although the Signpost cannot guarantee that complex answers can be processed for publication, it will help us improve future exit polls, if you give us comments about why you could not answer specific questions.

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:17, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Vanamonde93. I noticed that you recently removed content from Shiv Sena without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Vanamonde (talk) 17:45, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Vanamonde93: Hello! The change is part of a template change that I am working on. The content was broken after you reverted my change. Ensure that your preview the changes before publishing them. I have restored my change with comment.`-Prabodh 18:00, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay: but please remember, that is precisely what the edit summary is meant for. Infobox numbers are very frequently the targets of disruption, making it doubly important that you make it clear what you are doing and why. Please keep this in mind in the future, else you are liable to get reverted many more times. Vanamonde (talk) 07:48, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

loksabha_seats infobox parameter

[edit]

You have removed the composition bar from the loksabha_seats infobox parameter on Apna Dal (Sonelal) and many other articles, with the comment "Changed as per template parameter requirement". I see the template doc says "Number" as the type, but what is the actual problem? Batternut (talk) 23:29, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Batternut: Hello! I have updated the Template:Infobox Indian political party to accept a number and automatically display the composition box. This centralizes the information and is easy to use. Check my change on Template:Infobox Indian political party here. That's why I have updated a host of pages that used the template. I also updated the documentation to change the parameter definition to number.-Prabodh 05:20, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, very good - I guess I saw the change just before you fixed the template. Thanks! Batternut (talk) 07:15, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In my patrol of Category:ParserFunction errors, I found Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee. You can see the obvious expression error: unexpected operator in the infobox on that page. Related to the changes you made for the loksabha_seats infobox parameter. Reverting this edit removes the error, but I have no idea whether that's an appropriate edit. – wbm1058 (talk) 04:52, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see. "Changed as per template parameter requirement" (DIFF). That's not very intuitive, but apparently loksabha has different "requirements" than rajyasabha does. wbm1058 (talk) 12:01, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Information icon Hello, I'm SerChevalerie. I wanted to let you know that some of your recent contributions to 2020 Delhi riots have been reverted or removed because they seem to be defamatory or libellous. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. SerChevalerie (talk) 02:56, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@SerChevalerie:, I understand why the part about Tahir Hussain was reverted. However that was the last edit. Why were all other edits reverted? Prabodh 08:04, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Prabodh1987, please take this discussion to the article's Talk page. Also, please be mindful that the page is under WP:1RR and other discretionary sanctions placed by admins. Best regards, SerChevalerie (talk) 09:21, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

SerChevalerie Delhi riots 2020 has been written based on verifiable content from media. This article was has grossly violated Wikipedia ethos of Neutral POV It is still mentioned that Hindus waged riots even though it is judicial in nature. Reason given on many talk pages are sources from non popular news sources. Now AAP Tahir Hussain has finally admitted that he was the organiser of this crime and mastermind behind it thus this entire article now appears to be a propaganda. Sources from

1. TOI: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/videos/city/delhi/wanted-to-teach-hindus-a-lesson-using-political-power-ex-aap-councillor-tahir-hussain-confesses/videoshow/77325737.cms 2. NDTV: https://www.ndtv.com/delhi-news/suspended-aap-councillor-tahir-hussain-admits-his-role-in-delhi-violence-police-2273075 It is high time that we respect WP:NPOV and correct those blunders. For reliable sources just search on ranking of sites for most viewed for Indian News and go by that in a democratic way. Wikipedia has lost a lot of credibility due to this article and time to fix it so that truth prevails.

As I said, take this to the Talk page so that we may discuss it there. SerChevalerie (talk) 10:20, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

2020 Delhi riot

[edit]

The wikipedia page says the delhi riots of 2020 werehindu riots were hindu mobs became violent over muslim mobs.

The source of information for this is believe to be popular mass opinion .

Recently tahir hussain confessed of being active in agitating peopel and organising riots where e also confessed killing and vandalism .

When some people tried to bring this issue up an requested for this edit, it was objected on the grounds that tahir husain and his colleagues are accused not convicts

My question here is

Te wikipedia page went on to brand this as hinu riots but when a confession is out they arenotredy to accpet it on grounds that they have not been convicted yet

I feel a foul play here .

On one hand one groups declared conspirators on no solid grounds while one person confessing us being protected.

Why??
