Shifted section
[edit]It seems as if a transcluded template got between the sections (note the element in enclosed by double braces that moves here). The problem has now been fixed. --Dynaflow babble 11:42, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

PROD and speedy
[edit]Hi. Thanks for tagging Andrew Burgin just now.. Just a note to say that you were over-cautious - a good fault, most new New Page Patrollers tend to be too quick on the speedy trigger: but that particular one certainly qualified for WP:CSD#A7 or {{db-person}} "does not indicate why its subject is important or significant." If you're going to do New Page Patrol - which needs all the eyes it can get - it's worth studying WP:CSD carefully. There is also good advice from an experienced admin at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Help with dermatology-related content
[edit]I know you passed before, I am looking for more help at the dermatology task force, particularly with our new Bolognia push 2009!? Perhaps you would you be able to help us? I could send you the login information for the Bolognia push if you are interested? ---kilbad (talk) 02:52, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, knowing nothing about dermatology I don't think I would be comfortable trying to help you out. Polarpanda (talk) 08:53, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Removed prod from Aber Valley YMCA Football Club because it was questioned on the talk page
[edit]I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Aber Valley YMCA Football Club, which you proposed for deletion, because I think that the deletion of this article may be controversial. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! -- Atama頭 20:26, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed your nominated this article for deletion. AfD generally takes 7 days to complete and for articles such as this, we have a much more expediated approach. Criteria for speedy delete makes the deletion process quicker. On this policy, there is a list of reasons the community has agreed articles can be deleted quicker. I recommend really reading the policy thoroughly before using it though, because it is very concise about what qualifies. This specific article qualifies under A7, not because the subject is not notable, but because the subject didn't even try to suggest fame or notability. WP:WIHSD is a great essay that explains speedy delete, I recommend it as a good read. If you need any help, let me know. Anyway, happy editting.--TParis00ap (talk) 19:31, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
Notify editors of deletion
[edit]Hi Polarpanda and thanks for patrolling. I just wanted to remind you that it's a good idea to notify editors if you nominate a page they created or heavily edited, such as the Algoma University Students' Union article. I went ahead and put a notice on User:Saultite's talk page. If you're not aware of it, there is a template on notifying interested people at WP:Afd#How to list pages for deletion. List of venomous animals
[edit]Thanks for this article; could you please reference it? Ironholds (talk) 20:27, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- And this one. It's required that articles reference sources. Ironholds (talk) 19:28, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Article deletion
[edit]Hi, you seem to be in the business of purging Wikipedia of unsuitable articles. If this is true, then could you give your opinion of X-parameters please? I was wondering if this article might constitute self-promotion or some such. Notice that X-parameters is a trademark of Agilent Technologies, Inc., that the principal author is an Agilent employee, that the cited David E. Root is also an Agilent employee and the cited Jan Verspecht is ex-employee now working as an independent consultant (if we can believe what we read on the web). Thanks --catslash (talk) 17:49, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry I'm mainly just trying to cut down the number of articles with notability tags on them, I couldn't really offer an opinion on a conflict of interest. Polarpanda (talk) 17:52, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
I've done some work on this. What do you think? Go to the AfD to make more comments. Bearian (talk) 03:19, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

You may wish to participate
[edit]User:Wuhwuzdat has made a very WP:Pointy deletion nomination of List of management consulting firms after two of his wholesale deletions of article content were reverted and explained here. Since you participated in the 1st AfD, I am notifying you of the 2nd AfD in the event you wish to participate. --Mike Cline (talk) 18:54, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi there. Back in 2009 you tagged this article with the {{notability}} template. I agree with you that the subject is non-notable, and have WP:PRODproposed it for deletion. Robofish (talk) 23:50, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

The article Melevisione has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This article was tagged in August 2010 for no sources cited. The most recent update has a reference to YouTube (which I do not believe can be considered a reliable source). This article has mostly remained untouched for years and has nothing notable in it.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bakertheacre Chat/My Contibutions 20:22, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
