ALBANY POETS HISTORY
Albany Poets (then, AlbanyPoets.org) began in May of 2000 by poets R.M. Engelhardt and Thom Francis as a way to promote poetry and spoken word in the Albany area by featuring local poets, spoken word performers and events on the Internet.
http://albanypoets.com/about-albany-poets
R.M. Engelhardt was the poet responsible for first creating AlbanyPoets, then with coming up with the idea for Albany WordFest, an idea a myriad of poets have been carrying out since 2001.

R. M. Engelhardt
[edit]Hi Poemflower: You'll find the deletion discussion here. It would have been a better idea to contribute to that discussion, but maybe you didn't realize it was going on until too late? In any event, at this point, rather than leaving messages addressed to Wikipedia in general, your best plan of action is to contact the closing administrator at their talk page, since they said they were amenable to undeleting the article if enough sources could be found. Here is information on the standard of notability applied for pages; and the specific standard for creative professionals is here. Good luck! You may well have enough sources on this poet to get the article to stick :-) Yngvadottir (talk) 23:34, 4 September 2012 (UTC) --Edit to above: Or, as suggested in the above section, Wikipedia:Deletion Review. Yngvadottir (talk) 23:36, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- R M Engelhardt @ WorldCat. The controlling guidelines are WP:GNG and Wikipedia:AUTHOR. As Yngvadottir writes, one approach would be to contact User talk:Backslash Forwardslash directly. That discussion was 3 years ago, so it would probably be better to do as I suggest and appeal at WP:DRV. You could rewrite the article from scratch on your sanbdbox and then ask for a review. Dlohcierekim 23:46, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, the Albany poets connection was dealt with in the deletion discussion, so your case does not look hopeful. You might want to consider the advice offeed above as THE avenues for addressing your concern. Dlohcierekim 00:02, 5 September 2012 (UTC)

Signing
[edit]Hi Poemflower, Please remember to sign any contributions you make at talk pages etc. It looks as if you might have chosen to design a personalised signature, but have got one which doesn't really work - by using a leading space it creates a big box of formatted text, and it doesn't have a link to your user page or talk page as is required. It might be useful either to fix it or, perhaps, just to undo the option of having a tailored signature and go for the simple default version. Thanks. PamD 22:52, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Helpdesks
[edit]Hi, Although it doesn't make it obvious (which I've just pointed out at the appropriate talk page), the message above in the blue box about your article's rejection was advising you to ask at the "Articles for Creation" Help Desk, rather than the general Help Desk. If you click on the "Helpdesk" link in that message, it not only takes you to this more specialised helpdesk, but also creates a section heading which links to your article, so that people know what's under discussion. Your message at the more general Help Desk won't be seen by so many AfC experts. If you need more help, it would be better to go to the specialised place. Thanks. PamD 08:42, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
