[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I edit Wikipedia too, under the username Lowercase Sigma. I noticed that one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Swissôtel Tallinn, Estonia with this edit, appeared to be unconstructive, and I’ve reverted it. In the future, please use the sandbox for testing and be sure to provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Please feel free to ask me questions about editing Wikipedia (or anything else) on my talk page. Lowercase Sigma (talk) 18:37, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
Swissôtel Tallinn
[edit]Swissôtel Tallinn is the rename of Swissôtel Tallinn, Estonia; renamed on 24.07.2011 by PjotrMahh1. --PjotrMahh1 (talk) 14:52, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Regarding this article...you blanked the page. Are you trying to get the article deleted or working on it further? Having the original author blank a page can be interpreted to be a request to delete it per WP:CSD RandomAct(talk to me) 00:40, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
How to move the old article "Swissôtel Tallinn, Estonia" to "Swissôtel Tallinn", which exists, impossible, where is the administrator? Please, delete the article Swissôtel Tallinn (2007) and make from three articles "Swissôtel Tallinn, Estonia", "Swissôtel Tallinn", Swissôtel Tallinn (2007) the ONE with the right name "Swissôtel Tallinn", thanks, --PjotrMahh1 (talk) 00:48, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

- Okay, here's the key. First, when you want to change the name of an article, never, under any situation, do that by cutting and pasting the text of the article. Doing so copies the information, but doesn't copy the history of the article. The problem is that our licensing (CC-BY-SA) requires that everyone who has ever contributed to the page be listed as an "author" of that page; thus, the history section needs to remain intact. Instead, you need to use the "Move" function, which is what you did earlier today. However, that process ended up creating an unnecessary, oddly named third page. So, I've fixed the problem now--there's only one page, left: Swissôtel Tallinnin, and the page Swissôtel Tallinnin, Estonia page redirects to the first. I believe that solves the problem; if not, let me know. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:42, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- What he said ^^. Sorry, I jumped out of fixing it when an admin jumped it, didn't mean to leave you hanging like that. RandomAct(talk to me) 03:07, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- On the top of page we can see two malls
{{linkrot|date=July 2011}} {{Cleanup|date=April 2010}} Added so that it doesn't look like this page needs cleanup. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:31, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Can You correct the text in these articles? Thanks, --PjotrMahh1 (talk) 07:15, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- If the first problem - top mall - no more exists, why I see on this page the mall? Further, the second mall - from 2010. What the matter? Why this mall stand so long time? Please correct or delete the bad centences Thanks,
--PjotrMahh1 (talk) 07:25, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- The first problem does still exist--every citation in that article is nothing other than a bare URL. Instead, they need to be put into full citation template form. Information about how to do that is at Help:Citations. The other tag means that the grammar, style, and formatting need to be improved. I don't have time to improve that; remember, this is a volunteer project, so its up to whoever feels like doing the work. I'm guessing your not a native speaker, so I imagine the work is difficult for you. One thing you can do is to make a request with the Guild of Copy Editors on this page: Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests. Within a month or two, someone from the Guild will likely help improve the prose in the article. I don't know if they handle fixing references or not. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:31, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for fast response, It is difficult for me to write in English. We haven't this time a good article about one Estonian hotel only shotly think like Radisson Blu Hotel, Tallinn. To small to use as mall with Swissôtel Tallinn' dates.
Well, we are waiting for intress to this thema from another persones, Best wishes and thank You very much for help. --PjotrMahh1 (talk) 11:37, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Hey PjotrMahh1, I just thought I'd let you know that I saw your article MS Translandia in the New Articles list-- The image greatly improves the article. It would be great if you could also clean-up the related article USS Fulton (SP-247).
I'm kind of new here myself but let me know if there is any way I can help. Thanks, Jipinghe (talk) 17:44, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Jipinghe, thank You very much for your interest to my first article in EN-Wikipedia. I've written about MS Translandia in FI, RU, ET, DE, but these languages are not understood by the people in North America or in Asia. If You want to add the article, please do it. I usually don't write in EN-Wikipedia. But more in Russian or German Soviet class de:Dmitriy Furmanov

[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for April 11
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited MS Enchantment of the Seas, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nassau (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Wikipedia Help Survey
[edit]Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.
Thank you for your time,

Hello, while RMS Queen Mary 2 is indeed registered in the port of Hamilton, Bermuda, she nonetheless still flies the un-defaced Red Ensign per the UK Merchant Shipping Act. (She flies the undefaced Blue Ensign with Captain Christopher Wells, RNR retired, is her master.) There is more detail on the article talk page. Blue Riband► 17:34, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for fast response and additional info about . Unfortunately, we have Bermuda's Red Ensign for this ship on this website. All right, but where is port of registry Southampton? I don't really see it, thanks,--PjotrMahh1 (talk) 19:04, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
- I have just corrected it,
Port of registry = 2004–2011: Southampton, United Kingdom

Please explain what this edit summary means, as it does not explain your reason for removing the "MS". I don't care if the abbreviation is used in the caption or not, but I don't appreciate editors making demands without any valid reason behind their statement. — Huntster (t @ c) 11:24, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
- MS is a ship prefix for all motor vessels (propelled by an internal combustion engine, usually a diesel engine), not a part of name, and I have moved MS like motor ship to cruise ship used only for cruise ships on the basis of ship register, thanks,--PjotrMahh1 (talk) 12:17, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Keel laying date
[edit]We have two keel laying dates: 31 March and 2 December 2008 for Allure of the Seas, what is keel laying date, I always take this date from register, if exists.
What is keel laying date? We can read about it at § 30.10-37
Keel laying date—TB/ALL.
The term keel laying date means the date upon which progressive construction identifiable with a specific vessel begins, including construction of the first module or prefabricated section of the hull that is identifiable with that vessel.

Wikilinking
[edit]Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.
I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:
- dates
- years
- commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
- common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).
This even applies for infoboxes.
Thanks and my best wishes.

- Hi Tony, what do you mean under ‘you worked on’? Who is ‘you’? Regards,--PjotrMahh1 (talk) 11:05, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
Flags of convenience
[edit]The nation a ship is associated with; either the nation a warship belongs to, or the nation of registry for civilian ships. However, in case of civilian ships flying flags of convenience, this field should not be used. The country is placed in the infobox header. Do not use this field to indicate ranges. --PjotrMahh1 (talk) 12:34, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

Citations in infobox
[edit]Citations are not to be used in infobox. The infobox is to reflect the text of the article. In the Baie Comeau article, write it into the text, added your citations, then change the text of the infobox to reflect the text. Llammakey (talk) 22:40, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
- Even if it were so, what of it? Can you see for example RMS Queen Mary 2,
|Ship tonnage=149,215 GT[1]
|Ship displacement=79,287 tonnes[2], ...
Is that (det) not ok? Really?
