KylieTastic (talk) 15:33, 4 April 2021 (UTC)- Hi, just an FYI - you can/should remove maintenance templates once you've addressed the issue. Some are added/removed automatically by bots but most need to be manually added/removed. I have removed the Orphan tag from Charlton Horn Fair for you. [edit]Hello Pingbruise. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Bug Bite Thing, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Pingbruise. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Pingbruise|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Kleinpecan (talk) 15:25, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Kleinpecan. I am not being compensated – I'm a big believer in their product (I get skeeter syndrome really bad) and I'm a huge fan of Shark Tank. I'm also wanting to be more active in contributing to the Wikipedia community. Thank you. Pingbruise (talk) 15:39, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm still new to this, why did this other user Fastily delete the page I'm working on? Pingbruise (talk) 15:50, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- The page you created has been moved to Draft:Bug Bite Thing, so you can continue working on it there. From the edit summary, it would appear that the style in which the page is written was judged to be too promotional, and so would need to be amended to be neutral to be suitable for Wikipedia. — Smjg (talk) 16:10, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Ok. I will make edits. How will I know when to publish again? Pingbruise (talk) 16:11, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kelley Higney
[edit]Hello Pingbruise,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kelley Higney for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

- I am working on the revisions now! Thank you! Pingbruise (talk) 17:42, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
Not sure why you thought it was okay to move a draft article into mainspace without waiting for it to be reviewed, but it's not - so it's back in draft space. Deb (talk) 17:54, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Where do I get it reviewed? Apologies and thank you for your help. Pingbruise (talk) 18:07, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Can I please revise the Kelley Higney page? Pingbruise (talk) 18:25, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- As you've said it's a "complement" to the other article, why not wait until the other article has passed review? Deb (talk) 18:42, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Ok will do. Thank you. Pingbruise (talk) 20:43, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

The Bug Bite Thing article and Wikipedia guidelines.
[edit]In addition to issues with Draft:Bug Bite Thing already mentioned by others, you should probably read Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources (medicine), since I strongly suspect that the use of the source cited in the 'clinical trials' section of the draft violates this guideline.
